I am somewhat new to c# so I am unfamiliar with data access. I have used PHP but it is obviously less strict of a language than any form of dot net. With some help I have put together a try/catch sequence that outputs the below error message using a 'sqlex.Message'
Invalid object name 'nwsb_tbUsers'.
I am a bit confused about the error message though because the "tbUsers" table does exist inside of my MDF database that I created it via FTP. Is something wrong with my connection string possibly?

I have a SQL Server 2005 database which is queried by a web service which is called by an aspx page.
I inherited a messy and inefficient project, and I was working on cleaning up a GridView by making it dynamic and by having consistent field names in the database when I started getting an error of - Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Invalid column name: 'ASSIGNED_TO'
Assigned_to does not exist in the database, in the web service, or in the website solutions in any place. It was the name of one of the fields in one table, which I changed to USERID so that either of two datasets would fit into a Gridview (all other fields were the same). I then replaced all references of ASSIGNED_TO with USERID, which is when the issues began. The first of the two queries below causes the exception to be thrown, but the second one does not. I have tested both with the WCF Client and with a query within SQL Server to verify that they do work, so the issue has to be on the website side.

I create a table in SQL server 2008 and add some colume
after sometime i need to change some properties of colume
but problem come when saveing the table. Error message shown:-
Saving changes are not permitted.the changes you have made required the table to be droped and re-created .you have either made changes to a table that can't be re-created or enabled the option prevent saving changes that required the table to be re-created.
I created this sp just as my other sp's are created. I took an existing SP and I just modified the name of the sp for the new name. I changed the MODIFY word to CREATE and made the new procedure. All of them work when I execute the sp. Why is it when I open the sp to modify the line is underlined in red with Invalid Object Name. This is the case is each one. Select, SelectAll, Insert, Delete, and Upate. dbo is the ower of each one. I have checked the properties. Here is the code used to create:
I have a webservice, it has few webmethods. when i create a client proxy and invoke the methods to check its response, i am getting this error. Can someone tell me what things can i check to know the cause of this? The error is not saying much hence blocked on this.
I tried to add a stored procedure to my already group of procedures. For example, I have link_delete, Link_insert, Link_update I need a way to insert a link and this must relax the constraints: I tried to create a Link_insert2 and the thing is underlined in red saying Invalid Object in my query window. I basically renamed the existing Link_Insert stored procedure and added the line:
ALTER TABLE tblLink DROP FOREIGN KEY FK_tblLinks_tblWebSite
because my program is not able to write to the table unless I do this. I was going to just forget the stored procedure altogether and use a sub which I did and is writing a row. It is not returning the SCOPE_IDENTITY however, and I must get that. Can someone tell me how to get that?

I'm completely ignorant when it comes to SQL Server, so bear with me. I'm following a tutorial on writing a poll [URL] and when I try to save the Stored Procedure I get "Invalid object name 'dbo.NewPoll'". I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008 Express. I'm the systems administrator of my production server, infact I have the "box" downstairs. So I can do any changes and all that. familiar with MySQL, maybe I'm not twigging on to something yet.
I have a number of tables in the database and i have a column value as "abc" coming from one of the tables in the database, Now i need to find the table name from where this column value is coming?
I`ve dropped the Bairro table and I`ve created a new table with one more column, with data from the original one. However, I am not seeing anymore the table in the object explorer, in Sql Management Studio 2005.
When I open the Database Diagram the software shows a message box saying that the have been dropped or that I don`t have enough privileges for the table.
What can I do to see the table in the Object Explorer?
I am the dbo owner of the database and the schema dbo.
I am able to create database through script generated by SQL Server 2008 but unable to create tables from generated script. Please indicate if any step is missing.

I'm having an issue when using the Asp.Net Cache functionality. I add an object to the Cache then at another time I get that object from the Cache, modify one of it's properties then save the changes to the database.
But, the next time I get the object from Cache it contains the changed values. So, when I modify the object it modifies the version which is contained in cache even though I haven't updated it in the Cache specifically. Does anyone know how I can get an object from the Cache which doesn't reference the cached version?i.e.

I realise that with the above example it would make sense that any changes to the item get reflected in cache but my situation is a bit more complicated and I definitely don't want this to happen.
I've done this before but can't remember how for the life of me. I used aspnetreg_sql.exe to create the membership tables in my database. But now i cant seem to be able to point my web app to the correct database. In the provider settings in asp.net management interface i only see a radio button with the label "AspNetSqlProvider" but I can only test it (in which it always fails). I can't modify the connection.
I created a ASP.NET project under Visual Web Developer 2008. Under that project I had a Database (along with ASPNETDB.MDF) which has about 3/4 tables (I had SQL server 2008). Everything was working fine (like insert, delete, etc.). And I was able to view the tables in database explorer view.
Then I had to format my computer for some reason and I copied the whole project in a USB drive and then after formatting the computer I copied the folder and tried to open it in Visual Web Developer (now I have VWD 2010). I can see the both Database under App_Data folder (ASPNETDB.mdf and the DB I created). ASPNETDB has all the tables and data as expected. But I do not see the tables under the DB I created.
