After a user has finished registration, i want to show an info message and redirect the user to the site's main page after 5 seconds. I can do a delayed redirect easily:

I want to change my registration control to direct users back to the page they came from before registering.

i'm trying to figure out if its possible to skip a step in the create user wizard control that i've added. What i'd like to do is create a checkbox on the previous step and say "add a spouse" and if its checked goto the next step if its not checked goto the step after the "add a spouse" step. make sense?

I'm using the following code to pick up the UserID of newly created users in a page containing a CreateUserWizard. Should work because it's at the end of the _CreatedUser event, but the UserName comes up Nothing. Anyone know what the problem might be? I know the user is being created because the "success" message is displayed and it writes to the database.

I'm using emails as the user name, and I've got requiresUniqueEmail="true" in the web.config.
I have an empty CreatingUser method, and in CreatedUser I perform a couple of table entries with the new user.
When I try to add a user with an email that's already in use, I get a the default success message. But no user is added, and
it doesn't reach the CreatedUser method.

CreateUserWizard is creating dupicate user while assigning Role.How can we assign Role without duplicating user record? I've observed ApplicationID for assigning Role is Differenent than Creating New User, so when ever Role assigning comes in, it creates same user again with new UserID. Is it related to Web.Config in some way? As when I try to create user from "VisualStudio/Website/ASP.net Configuration"
I wanted to maintain the great features of ASP security control but i couldn't find a way to fit my purposes. I wanted to add in multiple user in one shot instead of one by one, So far using CreateUserWizard control only allow admin to add user once at a time. View 3 Repliesi have following issue: I am creating a new user register form manually without CreateUserWizard control, and all works perfectly unitil I intentionaly (for test purposes) enter existing username (for example BLABLABLA) into username.textbox. After that i get my error message as expected that says "username BLABLABLA allready exist", now when I tray (as a future user who could be in the same situation) to correct the username and enter another one (for example TRATRATRA), it still gives me this error "username BLABLABLA allready exist!" This is the second day that I'm traying to solve this!

Our application lets the administrator create new users. Since the administrator is logged in, I have set Logincreateduser = false so that the administrator is not logged out even after creating the new user.
The problem is :I need the userid of the newly created user to store additional details of the user in another database table. I see that i can get the username using Createuserwizard1.username; but how do I get the userID?
I have created a page that will auto-refresh every 5 seconds, however I would like the user to be able to choose how often the page refreshes. Is there any way to save the interval a user selects from a drop down list? Every time the page is refreshed the drop down list gets reset back to what it originally was at.
If it's easier to just update a panel I wouldn't mind doing it that way.
I have a page called HP.aspx that has an iframe to display a presentation made up of several pages. On the last page (Movie.aspx) within the HP.aspx iframe, I want to redirect the page to Projects.aspx outside the HP.aspx iframe after 25 seconds.
I know I can use 'Response.Write("<script>window.open('~/Projects.aspx','_top');</script>");' in the Movie.aspx's codebehind to redirect the page outside the iframe, but how do I set the page load to redirect after 25 seconds.
I' know the usual way of redirect after a specific time in C# is 'Response.AddHeader("REFRESH", "25;URL=~/Projects.aspx");,' but that leaves me still within the HP.aspx iframe. I tried replaces '~/Projects.aspx' withe '<script>...</script>' but it just gave me an error still inside the HP.aspx iframe.

The app requires user (mainUser) to login. Once logged in, the user can create users (subUser). I use the CreateUserWizard Control for this. I need to get the UserID of the subUser. HOw can I do this. I'm not sure of how to do it without confusing ASP of which userId I want. Is this a case for sessions? Or is there a more direct way?

I have created 2 roles and memberships one for admin and one for users, as you can guess I want to direct admins to a admin page and users to a user page. When a user logs on, it works fine, whether it's an admin or user, but they both present the home page, default.aspx
I know you have to have a redirecturl, to direct the user to the relevant page, either admin or user, but where and which webconfig would you put this in? I have seen in some post that you need a protected void or a role line in a webconfig file, but I have tried both these and countless other bits of code in different webconfig files. Before you ask about validation, I know this works as the user can log in, but just wont go to the relevant page.
