This is how I added an email link on my page, but does .net have any built in tool for preventing Robots from finding this address? What is a good way to present an email link that wont be detected by spam robots?
I'm sending emails inviting contacts to login to setup an account on a customers website. I'm using SMTP from web methods in code behind... These emails have clickable links that make them get caught as spam.

I am building an email feature in my website (jobs site). By using this functionality, recruiters will be able to send emails to candidates. I want an option so that the user can also set 'From Address' and the email should be ANTI-SPAM compliant.

I am using the following code to send the mail -

While testing we found that all the confirmation mails are going to SPAM folder instead of Inbox.
Is there anything wrong with the code or is there anything related to security.
We have a business web application that periodically sends emails as reminders, links to client data, etc. Our company uses Google Apps for our email provider (with our own domain name), and the web application sends email through Google with SMTP.
The problem is that Google Apps / Gmail keeps marking the messages as spam, even for the inboxes in our domain name. No other email provider seems to mark it as spam (but of course we haven't tested them all...).
We've tried various formulations of the body test: i.e. including more contextual information, addressing the recipient by name, but so far with no apparent changes. This makes me thing it may be something about our email sending process, rather than the content of the email, that's causing the emails to be marked as spam.
Things that we tried but that didn't solve the problem:
"From" address is valid and not spoofed SPF records are correct, and show as "pass" in the email header Since we are connecting to Google's SMTP server to send email, it's not an issue with a blacklisted IP address (however, our website has a static IP address that is not blacklisted). Email is not very spammy: I've checked against several online spam filter tests, and the email body always shows up as extremely unlikely to be filtered. HTML body vs plain-text body seems to make no difference. We send a small volume of email: probably 0-10 emails per day, so I don't see how that would make this suspicious. Whenever we have access to the receiving inbox (i.e. it belongs to an employee of our company), we've been marking the emails as "not spam", since Gmail may be using communal statistics to determine spam. After a couple times this results in emails to that particular inbox getting through, but doesn't seem to help other accounts.
What else can we try?
If it makes a difference, we're sending emails using an ASP.NET site running .NET 3.5. A typical email gets sent like this:

EDIT: I've seen this similar question: How to stop Gmail from marking mails sent by my web app as spam?, but the situation is a little different since we can reproduce it by sending and receiving from the same Google Apps domain. Besides, I believe I have covered all of the proposed solutions for that question.
I am sending Email from SMTP server and all my Emails are landed in Junk in Hotmail ,Live and Yahoo. I am not using any Spam like content and following all the guildline to send Emails.
I check on mail to identify the Issues and found quite a few issues below
1) HELO Greeting Check
Description: Email Server HELO is . HELO greeting does not contain a valid domain. We would recommend to have a valid domain in HELO greeting. Ideally HELO greeting should be the same as Email server host name (in FQDN format).
2) BATV (Bounce Address Tag Validation) Check
Description: Email server is not using BATV format while sending out emails. BATV is recommended to ensure that your users do not become a victim of bounce floods.
3) DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Mail) Check
Description: Email does not contain any DKIM/Domain Keys Signature and the published Domain Keys policy rejects such unsigned emails. Therefore it is very likely that your emails are considered SPAM by Email servers verifying Domain keys. Signing your Outbound emails as per your Domain Keys policy will minimize chances of your Email being considered as SPAM.

So my times i tried adding images to it but whenever i add images in the newsletter e-mail, the users who are using different mailboxes, either my mail goes in their SPAM folder or if my mail goes in their INBOX then image doesn't show up, it shows a blank space

I was curious how some of you are sending out an email to a new user, are you sending more then one email with username and link in one and then the password in another, are you sending everything in one email, are you sending an email to the new user at all?I'm curious because my web site is not a self registering web site, Only a supervisor can create a new user and then that user gets an email. Currently using the CreateUserWizard control in .NET v4 and a Membership db in SQL Server 2008. If I need to do this via custom code and not the CreateUserWizard that's fine. Would be nice to see expert thoughts on this common, enterprise quality, new account validation technique.

I have one TextBox with RequiredFieldValidator control and LinkButton on my page.
May occur the following situation on this page:
I filled the texbox and clicked the linkbutton is make postback on the server - so all ok.When I not filled the textbox and clicked linkbutton it will show message "Please enter your first name." and no postback will happen but when I filled textbox and click linkbutton I got a PROBLEM : Message "Please enter your first name." goes away (correct), but it doesn't preventing posback.

1) How to set up "secure" log-in for site members (when other sites say "secure login", what exactly is meant?) --- is that easy for a novice programmer to set up?; are there third parties?; is this done in collaboration with the site host?...Or by using the ASP.NET member system (which I have already set up), is that by default "secure" already?
2) When signing members up, what is best way to block out spammers from the registration process? Is there also third party software I can use? Perhaps someone can give quick answers to these, or point me in the right direction to read a good updated resource on this.
Problem: I am using FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(UserId, False)[Snip]Response.Redirect("~/login_pages/home2.aspx") ' Force round trip so that logon works OK to logon a user. It all works fine with other browsers, and IE7 provided that IE7's PRIVACY (originally I had written "Security") setting is Low. However it doesn't work when the PRIVACY setting is Medium (the default).
How do I solve this problem? I would have expected that FormsAuthentication.Authenticate(Userid, password) was the solution, but this doesn't seem to work at all.
In one of my website I need to prevent direct access to non .aspx pages in a protected folder. Authentication works fine if I am going to [URL] but in one case my users are uploading html pages in that folder and if somebody cut and paste [URL]the page can be seen without the authentication process to be activated.

View 1 RepliesI have learned recently that I can stop Google bots looking at some pages via the robots.txt file.Great got that sorted out.However how can I stop the crawler or bot from scanning some text on my page. But reading other parts just fine.For example I have a large legal disclaimer on each page,and I have seen that via google web master tools that my keywords are all out of the disclaimer.Cant have that!
Can I turn off a control or label to crawlers eyes?? Any ideas..I cant move disclaimer to a single page as then it looses effect.

I think that is it Watson..I ASSUME I can place these google on and off tages around a label or hidden field that has TEXT in it.
I've been programming with VB for a little over 2 years, however have never had any formal education. So the extent of my education is as follows:
I want to know how to do a mouseover for an image on my webpage, I look online for someone who's done it in VB and I try and duplicate their code and then play with it until I get the results I want.
So as you can see there is a wealth of VB coding that simply escapes me because I just haven't desired to include it or needed to include different aspects of VB in my programs / web developments. What I want now is big enough that so far (one week of online searches) I've uncovered no site or forum that has given me a tutorial on how to go about implementing what I want into my Microsoft Web Development project. The old sources for information are only good for one or two aspects of a coding procedure, not an entire overhaul of my current .aspx files. Not to mention a bias towards hard coding in pure <html>, I get a lot of that when someone doesn't have the patients to address my question.
When I created my new project it automatically populated an Accounts folder with a Changepassword.aspx, Changepasswordsuccess.aspx, registration.aspx, and Login.aspx. I've successfully prevent the program from logging in the user after they register with a simple " ' " before an authentication line in the registration.vb code; however, the login.vb code and the login.design.vb code is simple beyond me, and I've yet to find a site that spells it out for me.
I've created an online test. However, the intent is to have the users only take the test once, thus after they register with their email address I want my site to send them an email with an account activation link. Once they click on this link by visiting their inbox they can then take the test.
I am using the Login control to create a new user. I have it where if the user adds and email address, then this automatically popuplates the username textbox with the email address. I want it where if they don't have an email address then the user can just create their own username instead.
But what happens is if they create a username, but the leave the email blank, a defined error message appears saying that an email must be provided. In the login control properties I have set the property
RequireEmail to False but the message is still appearing.
Can anyone help me find out why the email is always required? I do have custom validators for other parts of the login, but have no validation set anywhere for the email.
I am trying to test emails using the local PickupDirectory. The code seems to work only in that an email is send to the local directory, but it appears like this: [URL] ....
