Jun 1, 2010I just set up user profiles using asp.net 3.5 using wvd. For each user I would like to store data that they will be updating every day. For example, every time they go for a run they will update time and distance. I intend to allow them to also look up their history of distance and time from any past date. My question is, what does the database schema usually look like for such a set up? Currently asp.net set up a db for me when I made user profiles. Do I just add an extra table for every user? Should there be one big table with all users data? How do I relate a user I'd to their specific data? Etc.

the login form has codebehind :

Now the problem is that when I try to login with proper credentials it first redirects to default.aspx( there is no such page in my project), after login again with same credentials it properly redirects to the correct page. Why such problem arises? to fix this?

Apr 22, 2010I'm not sure if this is possible or not, I'm using Roles to limit what pages a user can access based on there assigned Role. My question, is there anyway to redirect the user to a specific web page based on thier role after they login.
For example:
If Bob logs in with Role="Automotive", I want him to be redirected to Auto.aspx.If sue logs in with Role="Clothing", i want her to be redirected to cloths.aspx.
Security :: JavaScript/AJAX Popup After Specific User Authenticates?
Jan 20, 2010I have the following scenario and I'm not sure how to implement/tackle it.
I have a login control and roles for different users. When a user logs in I need to display a javascript alert only if the user fullfill special criteria (so not for everyone).
I have tapped into the x_Authenticate and x_LoggedIn events.
In x_Authenticate I do the MembershipProvider verification that the user exists as well as some custom verification. At this point I know that the user has successfully logged in and I can verify if they match the popup criteria.
In x_LoggedIn depending on the user type I redirect to different pages.
Ideally the x_Authenticate event would be the best place to show the popup, however the page isn't rendered then. Instead right after x_Authenticate the x_LoggedIn method gets executed and redirects to the needed page.

Using this approach i can show "Page.Title" in Show.aspx using any master page that has a "MainContent" placeholder, but my real goal is if i can when i choose the MasterPage for that particular Page to also see a list of available ContentPlaceHolders and when i choose one to then render "Page.Title" in that particular ContentPlaceHolder.
Delete Specific Records From Specific Table Randomly
Dec 18, 2013My application for "Members subscriptions registration" working online and different users using it.
Database type is Mssql Server 2008 R2, Size is around 1 Gb
What happen exactly there is specific record delete from table "Members" in random times, For example I add 100 new subscriptions with around 800 records and make confirm and checking next day find it loss 3 records find it deleted.
I checked all the applications no any delete query, I removed all delete query from application to make sure no any delete also I save any delete query happen in system inside table for log.

Jan 21, 2011I am attempting to convert an online game i have written in ASP into ASP.NET,, but I am failing at a very early and probably a very amateurish stage.
I am using a Sample ASPX project. There is an ASPNETDB database included, when i register my username is added to the DB along with a userID and various other fields. This is stored in a table called aspnet_Users.
The Login Control is stored in a Site.Master file

I have created a new table called tblClubs, which stores information such as ClubName, StadiumCapacity etc
I added a field called 'Owner' and this is directly related to the UserName field in the aspnet_Users table
What I am trying to solve is to show user specific information from the database, based on their LoginID.
i.e
My username is Laclerque and my club is called Racing Mongoose, the stadium capacity is 9500.. the information for each User needs to be different and just show the information that is relevant to them.
obviously in the longer term, there is going to be 100's of these associations required for the full game, but not until i can get my head around the basics of how to set this information. I tend to work better when i can see a working sample, and then adapt things to suit my needs.

I am just now working with the integration of a dataBase created in MS visual studio 2010, to a developed website created in MS visual web developer 2010. My main goal is to create an authentication ticket that enables a user to be able to see a dataBase information only after that user has been successfully authenticated.
Up to now I'm able to see the dataBase when i run the website even if I'm not log-in, how i can create a home page that tells the user to log-in and once that user has successfully log-in it redirects the user to another page where the user can see the database and how I can add information to that dataBase only to specific members
