I am using Web Expression and Access database to build an aspx page.I am displaying records using listview Tiled option and DataPager is enabled also which is creating multiple pages.

Now, I have a ListView populate products from LinQ DataSource, and a DataPager, when I load the page, it load page 1 of products(I have many pages of products), how can I acess a specific page (page number 2 for example) when I load page.

When I choose a product from page 2 and put it into cart then I go to cart, if I click on "Continue shopping" I want to back the page 2 contain product I've just selected before.

I'm customizing a NopCommerce store, and am using a gridview to display and sort the products. All that works well. I like how the external pager (user control) works with the gridview, with one exception -- it uses the hyperlink control, so I lost viewstate, which I need to retain for both the search page and to retain the gridview sort options. Based on the page selected (from the pager control), I query the database and rebind the gridview. So, I switched the user control to use LinkButtons instead of Hyperlinks. This is the sample code for one of the buttons:

I set a breakpoint inside the lbCommandClick method, but it never gets hit. Reading other posts tells me that I would have to add the dynamic controls in the OnLoad method, but since this all happens based on other data on the page (say search results), I don't think I can do it onLoad. However, the link buttons do work to cause a postback, and my viewstate is saved correctly. The only problem is that I do not know which button was clicked. I could check Request.Params["__EVENTTARGET"] onLoad, but that is kind of a hack -- I'd much rather be able to set the event handler in the user control and use the CommandArgument property. But, what I have tried so far fails.
Especially one that would allow me to set the EventHandler in the User Control? (e.g. OnlbCommand="PagerLBPageChange" )
Does anyone have an example for how to create a Dynamically Templated Listview with prefernces page to specify which columns & column order)? Also the listview would also have Edit, delete and insert options if possible. And uses the n-tier approach with Bus Layer and does NOT use LINQ.

View 4 RepliesI have created a asp.net webpage for viewing daily downloaded newspaper, saved as a pdf file in a selected folder (~/NEWS/{0}) within the web root directory. Also i have a SQL datasource linked, where the news table has two columns viz: date and filename.
I want to create a tiled listview where the date text is visible on the hyperlink. on clicking the hyperlink, the file name is retreived for the corresponding date and the pdf file opens in a fresh page.
I have tried going to the item template in listview and replacing the label control with a hyperlink control, but then not able to successfully proceed ahead.
I have the selected DataKey in session from the ListView. I am able to set the selection back when I comeback to this aspx page containing listview. But when the selected item in the listview belongs to some other page (not the first listview page) then I need to also set the selected listview page to the one, where my item belongs. I use a listview and a datapager (with template paging) How can I find, in which page my item to be selected exists?

I'm currently using ASP.NET MVC 2 and the spark view engine. The main master page (application.spark) contains all of the CSS link tags that need to be present for all pages (global stuff). However, I have some content pages that have page specific CSS tags and currently I'm just sticking the link tag in the body as something like:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="/Content/css/page_specific.css" />
My problem is that when the page renders, this tag ends up in the which is not where it needs to be. Is there a solution for this?
I had was to check the controller in the Application.spark page and write out which page specific css file is required for that particular controller, however, that solution doesn't seem to scale well and I would imagine there is some way of creating the link in the child page and having it render where it's supposed to by the browser.
I'm try to create a nested listview with the following display:

I am trying to add/insert linkbutton dynamically inside gridview row, below is the code

Problem I facing is that the data table is getting created fine with teh linkbutton as well but the gridview is not showing the linkbutton. upon executing I am only the column which is of string type.
