Is possible to set the title attibute on the image buttons of a commandfield?

I'm using webforms ASP.NET, with masterpages. I want to add a LANG attribute to the <title> tag. ASP.NET automatically generates a title tag. I've tried adding my own tag with an ID and runat="server", like this:
<title id="titleBlock" runat="server"></title>
When doing this, I can set an attribute like the following without any errors.
titleBlock.Attributes.Add("lang", "it");
However, ASP.NET wipes out my <title> tag completely and puts its own in without my LANG attribute. Is there any way to accomplish this?
iwanna find img tag that has not ALT and TITLE attribute. and then append to img tag alt and title. how i can do that?

View 4 RepliesI've been tryin to find an example of the syntax for getting an html 'title' for a string when using Html.Encode(). I want to display the full name in the mouseover title, if it's too long.
Is there a way to do this without wrapping the string in a < span >, i.e.
<span title = "<%=Html.Encode(model.Name) %>"> //displays the full name on mouseover
<%=Html.Encode(model.Name.Substring(0, 10))%>... //displays the name up to a max length
</span>
Or should I just do it this way?

The dropdownlist contains simple strings (person titles). When you select a title, that title should be returned to my model. Controller code:
ViewData["PersonTitle"] = new SelectList(new[] { "Dhr.", "Mevr." });
Why is this not working ? Edit: The purpose is to change

into something like this

In my form i have three radio buttons and nine image buttons, three image buttons per radio buttons
If the user check one radio button, the respective three image buttons only has to be displayed.
In a single time one radio button only can be checked the rest two would be unchecked

In the following statement of above query I want to retrive the name of the attribure dynamically without explicitly specifying the name of the attribute SlotName = (string)SLT.Attribute("NAME").Value Here I am explicitly specifying the name. I want to code which can dynamically retrieve the name of the attribute. I am trying to achieve a SSO implimentation across my websites so i am using the machine key attribute to do so.now the trouble starts here as the website the user logs in is on the .net 1.1 framework and the website it it navigating to is .net 4.0.I have share the same machine-key across both the application . It works fine in my testing environment but as i move to the deployment server ,it just dosent work !So what i could do is read this article on MSDN :

I've been trying to get image caching working for the last 8 hours and I keep the same problem time and time again, I'm trying to cache Images at the moment and then when thats succesful, apply this to cache my js and css files. I have at the moment Sql Dependancy caching working on my dynamic pages but the page still takes to long due to images not caching.
What I have tried is going to IIS7 Management and adding HTTP Response Header for the images folder and setting various things for the cache control.i dont care how long it caches it on the client or on the proxy servers i just would like it to check when the file was modified and compare it with the one in the client or proxy cache and if they are different then fetch the new image which has been ftp up. i could solve this by changing the image name but the thing is the image name is generated when they are ftp'd to the site by an application and the name is a direct reference to the product so i cant change the name each time, as it would mean making a lot of otherpages accross the board.
so What i would like, is to set and expiry date of lets say 32 days or more on the images and then check to see if they have changed by date modified or some other way of checking(Etags maybe) I'm not sure, if they have changed on the server then redownload and recache them, I tried using post-check and pre-check together but that just permantly cached them, so when i change the image the only way it would display the new image is to just hit F5.
In Brief, how can i Cache images, on the client machine/ proxy cache and recache them when the modified date of the file has changed.

I want to get clients images in web app(upload) and store them in DB (mysql) then send these images to windows app via web service (so i new web service, not web site). But i have 2 problems:
I have 2 ways to store images in mysql, first i should have BLOB field in DB -that it takes more space-, second i should save just name of each image in DB(so have image in one folder) -in this way i don't know how get image from clients and store them in that folder-. which one? Or what other? How (code) can i transfer image via web service(Byte[] or? ).
