I added UserControl Webpart on the site and got this error:
error CS0117: 'ASP._60b6ad6d_6998_4413_8d26_f07e4e897ce8_1417418301' does not contain a definition for 'btnPressMe_Click'
It is very simple user control.
I am new in sharepoint development. I have 2 webparts attached on a page. The first webpart (MyTestingWebpart1) basically it does only inserting of data and the other webpart (MyTestingWebpart[2]) displays the records from the database. Now my problem is when I try to click on the save button, somehow I don't know how to refresh the webpart that displays the newly inserted record. Is this possible?
I have added a query at the page load event of MyTestingWebPart[2]. Both of the webparts attached are web user controls.

When I compile the application, Visual Studio creates the assembly file in the bin directory which I copy over later to the production server (another machine) with WSS 3. The compiled application dll file is copied into the bin folder inside the virtual directory of WSS and runs fine in there

There is currently some code to add a ReportViewer (SSRS) WebPart, but I need to replace it to display a PDF file (from disk). The PDF file is from a local/network path that is not served publicly. I need to get the PDF content streamed in a web part, setting the content-type along the way. If it helps any, my thoughts are to respond on a different URL (page in the same site), that simply takes some token (get params?) and streams a byte[] and sets the content-type as application/pdf - I could well be completely off the mark. You will need to be quite specific with steps and code/sample/links in the answer.

I have a blank page in the sharepoint, and I have a custom control uploaded to the site, on adding the webpart the the sharepoint page I get the following error:
"Attempted to use an object that has ceased to exist. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80030102 (STG_E_REVERTED))"
I get that error even if the sharepoint page is totally blank and so is the web part.
I know it's usually the other way around, but I have some extenuating requirements that must be met (read as "No one bothered to do the research and now I have to bail them out")
I have a standard user control (ascx) that is to be imported into a SharePoint 2007 website. Due to a design constraint, a sharepoint web part that is also needed has to be nested inside of this user control.
So in other words, the user control would have to look something like this:

We have a web part on which we display some data in a grid. We are exporting grid's underlying datatable to Excel and displaying Open - Save - Cancel dialouge box on click of a server side button.Following is the code we are executing on click of server side button.

I need to read a Property/variable from outside the webpart usercontrol to determine a course of action. This is not the same as using the Property Editor.
I have numerous usercontrol webparts all accessing the database.
When minimised, I don't want the webpart to hit the database.
So, I need to either : detect within the usercontrol webpart itself that its chromstate is minimised and therefore not access the database (and)or from the Webpartmanager loop through webparts, determine those that are minimised and set a variable / property within the webpart to inform it not to access the database on postback.
Something like...(pseudoCode)

I have two Picture Libraries. One has pictures and the other contains the thumbnails created programmatically by me. I am displaying the thumbnails into a custom webpart. I need to display the original pictures on mouseover on the thumbnails displayed in webpart and the originals displayed should dissappear on mouse out.

I have created one sample application for WebParts. It is working fine when I run it from Visual Studio or local environment.
But when, I have publish file in IIS virtual directory (in my PC or same PC) at that time it is stop showing Verb tool bar (minimize, close buttons of WebPart).
I have deployed a custom SharePoint Web service on Farm A. I am trying to access this Web service from a SharePoint timer job on Farm B. On Farm B, I am creating Class Library project, packaging it (wsp) and then deploying to GAC. The problem is I'm unable to access the Web Service using the following code. I've a ASP.Net page (Default.aspx) which will load UserControl (ucontrol.ascx) dynamically into an UpdatePanel. By using UpdatePanel, we believe we're able to prevent the entire page to be posted-back.
My problem is, within the UserControl, we have some form controls, such as inputs and buttons; after the UserControl is loaded, clicking on any button inside the UserControl will cause the UpdatePanel to be blanked. During the investigation, I found that, breakpoints within the Button1_Click() in the code-behind for the UserControl is never reached. Please reference to the code below, this references to [REFERENCE]1.

I have a page with an UpdatePanel with a UserControl in it. That UserControl contains a GridView with a nested UserControl that seems to disappear when the parent UserControl is rebound. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the child UserControl disappears. The code works beautifully on the first load, but any partial postback causes the "Pick" UserControl to disappear.

im creating site with usercontrols. I have repeater, inside it is another repeater with usercontrol. My problem is passing BindedValue to usercontrol.Bindings works fine and binds the value i need but it cannot pass the value to usercontrol. When i type it manually it works, when i bind it, it passes null (!).I've tried get,set, functions (ondatabound, onload, oninit), accessing control from code with no luck. Ive read and tried to do all the google solutions but with no luck. (even with creating usercontrol inheritance)

I know that this can be possible with properties in both UC's and by registering UC2 in UC1 or vice versa. But I want the solution to be loosely coupled. Any best possible way without touching the Actual Page (which hosts UC's)? So i need some best possible way between UCs transfering C.

I have a page named Customer.aspx that uses MainLayout.master. Customer.aspx also contains a UserControl named UC_Details.ascx.
How can I have UC_Menu.ascx call a function that is in UC_Details.ascx with this scenario?

I have a UserControl, which contains another UserControl with Button. I want to add an event to that button in first UserControl (parent). I tried to do:
