State Management :: Passing Multiple Parameters Value From A Window To Another?

I have a parameter screen which contains many pop up windows for the parameters .
I have a department hierarchy which consists of department , branch and section.
I have 3 pop up windows for each parameter.
When i select, a department, it filters the list of the branch and shows only its branch when i open the branch pop up window.
But the problem is, when i select multiple departments, the branch pop up window shows the below error. The page works if only a department is shown.
Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '3,4,5,6 to data type int. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
My code for the branch page is :

I have a page with a lot of pictures on it. I want the user to be able to click on the picture and either bring up a popup type of window passing it the Param name and value , or to have the picture be replaced with this object.

I have found a number of places describing how to bring up a popup window, but not on how to pass it the values.

I am trying to pass parameters to a popup window via query string(a hidden field id & a textbox id). However, since I am using master pages the id's are very long (ct100_someid). Is there a way to elegantly pass my ids ? Can I shorten my id's or not show them to the user at all?

I have a number of drop downs that the client can select a range of criteria. From this, they will press a button, the query will be generated and low and behold, a gridview will be produced in a new window (or at least give that impression) bound by an object datasource. I would also like the user to be able to amend the search numerous times so they can generate a number of new windows/gridviews.
Now then..what would be the best approach for achieving this result?
My initial thinking was to create a querystring generated by the client criteria selections (in the drop down lists), a new page would then take the querystring and populate the gridview here. My concern with this approach is that the query string could be a whopper...are there any disadvantages to creating a ridiculously long query string?
Alternatively, are there any other methods or ideas people have used to produce a similar desired effect?

I've developed a web site where quite a few users may perform the same operation almost at the same time.I retrieve the main parameter (let's call it ChartID) from the URL but in some cases users end up reading the ChartID of a different user who is looking at that page at the same time.This bug is happening regardless if the user is logged in into his own account.Users may be located in a completelly different geographical location and the bug raises still.To get rid of the issue I'm now passing the parameter into an hidden label on page load (NO Post Back) and from that moment on I read the parameter from the hidden label instead of the URL.But I still would like to know the reason of this bug as it may affect the application somewhere else.I've searched the net for an explanation and I could not find anything.I don't know if this is a server, IIS, ASP.NET or something else bug.

I have a number saved in session and am using it in a bunch of pages right now, and I was wondering if I could somehow access this session in my WebService.asmx file? It would be great since then that way I can fix my auto complete extender. I know I can use contextKey, but I am using that contextKey for something else. If session isn't possible in web service, then is it possible to use two contextkeys in auto complete extender, and how?

not response.redirect, it works using response.redirect. but somehow when I use it using window.open(), it always give me parser error.

I have a "one page application" (ASP.NET 3.5, VS 2008, IE7) that uses Default.aspx as it's page, and holds an iFrame within "floating panel" (asp:Panel with extenders).
As the desired behavior is to allow users to reopen the application by refreshing the page,
I added this to the Default.aspx.cs:

I have added a gridview in my aspx web page. I have added a hyperlink field, to navigate to another page from the gridview. I am getting the error as:
"There was an error rendering the control.
Index(zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list. "
This is the code i have used:

When i remove the hyperlink, the grid is getting displayed. I know, there is something wrong i have coded in the DataNavigateURLformatstring, but not sure what is wrong.

According to all I have read my DataNavagateUrlFields string should work but it isn't. The deal is that any one (AssocID) can have multiple AddrID's associated with it. Regardless of which I choose I only get back the first AddrID for that AssocId.

I want to redirect from one aspx page to another aspx page of different application.Both applications are hosted in different application servers. I want to pass a value from one application to another.I tried - 1. Response.redirect with Query string - But query string is not secure as it is visible to user in browser.2. Cookies - This is also not a secure way. Again if the cookies are disable in the browser it may not work.3. Server.transfer - In different web application we cant use server.transfer.Please provide any easy solution how to achieve this. I dont want to display the values to the user as it is confidential data.
