View 3 RepliesI'm not getting a trailing zero on currency values and I have no idea why not. This is my code:
[Code]....
Yet this is what is showing up on the screen:
$18.7
Very aggrevating...It should not be doing this as I understand it.
i have one Gridview in my .aspx page.i am showing dynamic data in this grid.how i will show the float or double number in 2 decimal places in gridview.
View 3 RepliesI'm creating an excel file using ASP.net and everything is going just fine except one column has to be formatted as a decimal to 2 places but when it pulls into excel, excel automatically formats it as a whole number instead of keeping the decimal places.
sw.Write(String.Format("{0:f}", CDbl(dr(14)).ToString("0.00"))) this produces "20.00"
but when I open it in excel it's displayed as 20...if I select the whole column and format it as a number it gets displayed as 20.00 like it's supposed to but I don't want to have to do this (I can't do that) the file is supposed to be automatically picked up and imported into another system that needs the column to be a decimal.
i have a repeater item that displays a double. occasionally the double seems to be coming out with 3 decimal places like this 1165.833. im trying to force it to two decimal places by wrapping it in a string.format method but it still comes out the same:
<%# String.Format("{0:f2}",DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "pricerange").ToString())%>
in my textbox i need to enter only three charcter like CEL in caps letter else i need to show error.
if(txtsid.text==3) means it throw error
how i can generate a gridview with a fixed number of rows that is entered from a textbox
my gridview has a column with dropdownlists the others contains textboxes?
I am trying to create a gridview with a fixed number of rows (5). If the gridivew contains no items then five blank rows will be shown. For each row that a user enters then a blank row will be removed so that there will be a constant number of rows displayed. How might I go about doing this?
View 5 RepliesIn my text area, I should be able to enter only 72 characters per line. If I use, cols property set to 72, it is allowing more or less number of characters depending on character width.
View 3 RepliesI have a table that contains about 8000 records and I need to be able to select any given sequence of 250 subsequent rows by a specific row index of teh table...
how I can go about that easily using a dataview without building a secondary table and just pushing the records I need into it?
I've searched for this several times but have never been able to find the answer with my search terms. Say you have a listview and a datapager set to 10 rows, but you only have 4 data items in the database at the time the query is run. Is there a way to force it to show a 10 row table (4 with data and 6 without)?
Everytime I search on this, I just find information on setting the number of rows for the datapager, which will not show empty rows if the data isn't there. Probably an easy solution, but the heck I can find it.
I have a RequiredFieldValidator with Display="Dynamic" on my ASP.NET WebForm. I have assigned it a class using the CssClass property. I want the error message to be displayed using display: block, so I have placed this on the css class in my style sheet.
Unfortunately, the validator places a display: inline on the element on the web page, effectivaly overriding my style sheet value.
Edit:
I just realised why this doesn't work. When setting Display="Dynamic" on a validator, it has the effect that it sets style="display: none" on the span tag when rendering. The .net javascript library then switches the inline style of the element between "none" and "inline". That is simply how the dynamic validator works. So for this to display as a block element, I will need to modify how the client side event validation works.
I'm bulding document-from-template engine. At certain points I need to match on Reg Exp groups and replace template text with content from a db.
I 'hardcoded' my RegExp initially, doing something like: Regex r = new Regex(@"{DocSectionToggle::(?<ColumnName>w+)::(?<ResponseValue>.+)}[[(?<SectionContent>.+)]]", RegexOptions.Multiline);
it does group capture, so the syntax isn't the prettiest.
Just to make things neater and because I want' to keep the patterns in web.config or elsewhere, I've 'evolved' algorithm to something like:
[code]...
But I'm getting an error: 'Input string was not in correct format'.
Is this a limitation of string.Format(...)?
If I have a string/integer that looks like 123, how can I convert that to look like 12.3?Basically what I need is something faster (if possible) than thisMath.Round(Double.Parse(input / 1000), 1).ToString
View 1 RepliesI have a master gridview that I am populating data to. I am am also counting records of open and closed and I want to display the percentage closed. I am using the following code. It always rounds up. In other words, if the actual calculation shows it to be 0.16 it will always display in the label as 0.2 I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. If I just take two numbers and divide them in the code it displays 0.16676767. Here is the code I am using. The first line is on up in the code but I plugged it here to show you that I am using a session variable to add to as I rip through the code. I have all three of the variables I am placing the session variables in defined as Dim xxxxx as single.

Can the standard ASP.NET Visual Studio validation controls display an icon with a tool tip message instead of text, the way the WinForms ErrorProvider controls work? If not, is the AjaxToolkit's ValidatorCallout control the best approach? Is this control flakey?
View 1 Repliesi facing a problem to change the date format at gridview display.
below is my coding:
[code]....
I'm concatenating a string in codebehind to use in a sql select statement.
in aspx
<asp:Label ID="LabelHidden" runat="server" Visible="False"></asp:Label>
SelectCommand="SELECT * FROM [Data] WHERE [ActivityName] IN (@ActivityName) AND ([ID] = @ID)"
<SelectParameters>
<asp:ControlParameter ControlID="DropDownList_Employees" Name="ID"
PropertyName="SelectedValue" Type="Int32" />
<asp:ControlParameter ControlID="LabelHidden" Name="ActivityName"
Type="String" />
</SelectParameters>
in codebehind
foreach (ListItem li in ListBox_Activities.Items)
{
if (li.Selected)
{
queryBuilder += li + "', ";
}
queryBuilder = queryBuilder.Substring(0, queryBuilder.Length - 1);
LabelHidden.Text = queryBuilder;
When i run the code it comes up blank. I did a query trace and it seems to be running as
exec sp_executesql N'SELECT * FROM [Data] WHERE [ActivityName] IN (@ActivityName) AND ([ID] = @ID)',N'@EmployeeID int,@ActivityName nvarchar(50)',@EmployeeID=4,@ActivityName=N'Production Technical Support'', Tools Development'','
with exta "'s
How can i format the queryBuilder string correctly in my code?
