I'm using the RssToolkit for .net. I'm using an Httphandler to return rss feeds. The feedID is passed in as a querystring parameter. If no parameter is passed in, I would like to have the the handler return a feed that is an aggreate of some of the feeds that the handler can handle. What I'm wondering is, can the handler recurse?

I have a custom user control DatePicker.cs. Inside of another piece of code I have a collection of controls where I am checking the type of the control and doing some logic based on the type. My problem is the following: typeof(DatePicker) Evalutes to:
{Name = "DatePicker" FullName = "cusitecore.cedarsc.UserControls.DatePicker"}
But when I run the debugger and look at the type of the control that is on my web form it is:
{Name = "cedarsc_usercontrols_datepicker_ascx" FullName = "ASP.cedarsc_usercontrols_datepicker_ascx"}
These two things aren't equal so the correct logic isn't getting evaluated. I've tried using Type.GetType("ASP.cedarsc_usercontrols_datepicker_ascx") but this returns null.

I have a serious problem with "Error on Page". The error message points to line number 939, char 13. In my code behind (C#) in line number 939 is only an obsolete method found which is no longer called. The aspx file has only 339 lines. What the heck is line number 939?The Webapplication allows a special user group to change some group memberships for members of another user group in Active Directory. The App handles 3internal DataViews derived from corresponding DataTables as DataSource for 3 GridViews and some other internal lists with objects (List<obj>).
It uses windows authentication to get current users credentials and his membership in the "Operators" group. In my case, my company employs microsoft exchange and uses NTLM authentication for all domain users. I am authenticating users via NTLA windows integrated authentication. My question is, is it possible to utilize this authentication data, and pass it to the system.web SMTP username/password authentication scheme to send an email to me (the web developer) when the error occurs? I am pretty sure my company requires a username/pwd to send emails via SMPT on the ms exchange server.

The wierd thing about this is the connection strings work from the local machine when I run from Visual Studio and I can write to the DB there, I just cannot write to the DB from the URL.

I have an existing project with a silverlight3 app. First I created SALESservice.svc.This is working fine. Now I added another TARGETservice.svc to my project and rebuilded my entire project but when I am trying to add the service reference in to the silverlight app I get the following error:

I'm having a wicked time trying to redirect the different error scenarios to a custom error page. Basically, I have put some code in Application_Error in global.asax, and done the necessary web.config settings to use Custom Errors.
In global.asax on Application_Error, I stored the Server.GetLastError in Session. The reason I have to store it in Session is because (as far as I know) you lose the exception when using "ResponseRedirect". And the reason I have to use ResponseRedirect is because I am using an UpdatePanel with AJAX calls, and any exception during the AJAX call shows up as a JavaScript error, and doesn't get handled using the custom error page (see this post).

I have written some vb code that inserts whatever has been written on my page into an Access database. Only problem is VWD throws up an error saying that the syntax of my SQL statement is wrong. I am 95% sure that this statement is correct because when I saw the statement in Text Visualizer and tried that statement in MYSQL the data went in perfectly.

I am trying to Upload data from Excel file. Transfer data from Excel file to XML file and passed it to Store procedure. And insert the record into database.I also set the timeout for command to zero. when i upload 1 to 500 rows its working fine and when I upload the 10000 rows than its takes time but upload all the users successfully at localhost. But when I upload the code to remote srever,than its only upload upto 300 or 400 rows.After uploading these users it will gives the error of Request Time Out . Even more if I tried to upload 50000 rows its give me the error of 'Maximum Length Exceeded'. Can anyone tell me what the maximum size of Excel sheet to upload the users. How I can get rid of the Request Time Out Issue. How I can Increase the server response time.
