In PDF.aspx, I create a pdf of a webpage. Because a new browser window opens here, the user is lost and the application will return to the login screen --> result: a pdf is created of the login screen.

I'm creating an LDAP class that contains a function that returns the managers username of the current user.
I know that I can use the "manager" attribute to return CN="name", OU="group", DC="company" etc.I specifically want the managers username, does anyone know if there is an attribute string that I can send to LDAP that specifically gets the managers username only? If not, is there an alternative method to do so?
When I run my app locally I get no errors. No error from Global.asax, no redirection to an error page. Everythings works fine.
When I deploy my app to a test server, my app run there with no errors. No error from Global.asax, no redirection to an error page. Everythings works fine on the test server.
But when I deploy my app to production server, the app runs fine but I keep getting errors (emailed to me) from Global.asax. On production server we have these security apps that run and keep hitting all URLs of the app on the server. Just to make sure they are working fine. When these security app hit URL of my app, my application runs fine but it gives out this global.asax error. The funny thing is that error is empty. The error are emailed to me and the email is empty. Nothing there.
There are several other apps running on the same server. My app has its own app pool and is configured correctly.
I am using a server control on a single web.forms page. I have to use this control on a web.forms page since its a server control, although this is actually a MVC project. So I created a web.forms folder and put my new page in it. I then copy the example code from the signature control. I get the following error:

View 4 RepliesI have an ASP.NET MVC app and I have a WebForm page I built in the MVC due to a tutorial on how to do something I needed to do, but it was all in WebForm style. Ive tried to figure out how to do the same thing in MVC format but cant figure it out. So I was needing to figure out how to use this page in my MVC app. But when I try to go to the page, it gives me the error "Page cannot be derived from ViewMasterPage unless Page derives from ViewPage." So I had to make a new standard MasterPage also.
The situation is this. I have a search bar located in the MVC ViewMasterPage thats on every page that is derived from it. Once a user submits info in the search bar, it calls the WebForm Search.aspx page and displays the results on the Search.aspx page. I want the URL to be like "http:///search//. The Search.aspx page is located in the root of the project. How would I get the results Im looking for?

And in my shield page i just add for example one textbox with a button and when I want to get value with request.form("idofcontrol") I get nothing.and when i do that in a simple webform page that not have any page master I get the value.

I have an aspx application with 2 aspx pages. Second aspx page will get opened on click of a button in first aspx page using JavaScript. The problem is, when the second aspx page is getting opened, its Page_load event is not firing. Only when I refresh the second page, page_load event of second aspx page is fired. what might be the problem and what is to be done to fire the page_load event.
View 1 RepliesI wrote a test page that does a bunch of busy work in a method called at page load. This process as I have it now takes around 12 seconds.
If I try to load another page while the first long running page is loading, this second page doing nothing except writing out a world, it doesn't load until the first long running page is finished.
Why is this the case? I would think IIS would be able to handle multiple concurrent connections, it seems crazy that one long running page would stop every other page in the application from loading. I must be missing something or not understand how IIS works.
I would think multiple independent requests would be spawned on different threads. Is this only the case if the requests are from different sessions entirely? Are all requests from a single session bound to a single thread?
