My site is set to en-GB in the web.config. I have a calendar extended textbox control on a page which lets the user select date, in GB format as string (DD/MM/YYYY). I need to convert this to a US datetime before inserting into db.

I want to import a spreadsheet into SQL. The import/export wizard forces Column A to be a double. In Excel, the column is formatted as text. When I try to convert from double to text/varchar/nvarchar, the import process fails. Why can't I convert a number to text in SQL?

However, I've noticed that recently, everything was off by an hour due to the time change we just went through.How do I make sure that times account for daylight savings time changes?

The Format property of the CalendarExtender doesn't work when the EnableScriptGlobalization and EnableScriptLocalization properties of the ToolScriptManager are True. For some unexplicable reason the seperators are changed from "/" to "-"
I can get around this problem on the client by formatting the bound textbox in the OnClientDateSelectionChanged client event but have no way to set the CalendarExtender SelectedDate property on the server because the wrong date seperator is displayed.
I'm trying to write some code that checks the number of days between two dates, when I set the date on my IIS7 server to anytime in the future I get the standard "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" screen. This happens if I comment out all my date checking code, with todays date it loads with any future date it doesn't. I've tried rerunning IISReset which makes no difference.

I have a drop down with 3 and 4 year lease options in it. and then a start date and I want to set the expirary date based on what is selected in the drop down. So I have it all workign except for setting the date on the expirary calendar extender.

I am trying to export my GridView info to a readable csv file. Unfortunately, attached is what is shown. Under the Date column, a few dates show up (8/9/2010) but when it switches to 8/10/2010 -8/31/2010 it only shows ######, BUT when I move the mouse over the #######'s it shows the date in the little box thing.

On click of hyperlink we are opening javascript calendar and assiging it to textbox.
The same functionality is working in IE, but its not working in Mozilla firefox and Google chrome.
This is one of the major problem i am facing in entire application.

But when it shows the graph its XAxis Date Format is not according to my requirement i.e. "MMM-yy" But its showing the format that is stored procedure giving to the DataSource binding of this chart.

I have the following on my pageload event so when the Page loads the current Date is put in the date textbox:

I can change the date fine but when I select a value from one of the other dropdownlist controls it puts the date back to today's date...The only place I am setting the Date to the current date is in the pageload event...
how can I get it to keep the date to what I change it to after I select a new value from one of the dropdown lists?
I am filtering dataview using my Date Column but the result is not proper because the Field value also stores time, so I want to convert this Date Field to only Date during Filter. How can I achieve this? Here is my code. And the actual value I am getting in the Dataset Field "CreationDate" is a DateTime field which is like

i would like to compare the current date with the date entered by user..however, i'm encountering errors so far..
