I have a checkbox on a templatefieled named chkbxlate. I want to write code to check a checkbox or all the checkboxes on that column if the system time is greater than 9:30am during roll call but I don't know how to go about it.

View 1 RepliesI have written a SP which maintains users log in and log out history,it works fine when any user logs in or clicks on log out, problem is that as per need its not to allowed to keep the screen idle for 1 minute or more then in the log out column Null value is passed.

Here when user manually clicks the log out button then 1(table above) is the output.
When user leaves the screen idle then after 1 minute the page goes to the Login.aspx page if the user tries to do something on the current page,here 2(table above) is the output can i store some hard core value instead of Null like Session expire or the exact session expires time.
How could i set compulsory property of a user control to be set when user adds user control to form.

I'm using ASP.NET with sql-server. I have an area where the user can enter text of a maximum amount. I encode this text as a good measure but the encoded length can be greater than this maximum amount when I try to insert it into the database.
Special characters are encoded on 3 characters. I can't show the user that he has exceeded the max amount of characters because from his perspective he hasn't. I also can't set the database field to the worst case scenario (being 3 times my max amount).

I do not want to support multiple software packages so I am thinking that I have some type of interface that allows a user to select what fields they want to input on a given screen. However, what is the easiest way to make this happen? I am thinking that I have some type of XML file that is read that a user can define.

I have got a function as below to check user whether input text is a legal words or not , but this function would trim or replace the bad words from input string.
Therefore i just want to match input string in this method (don't want to trim or replace). If it matched with any of these then should throw a message "Special characters not allowed"

I have Create user form through which i am creating thousands of users and generating unique user id's. If there are lot of concurrent users using the form then how should I display the new generated user id to user through stored procedure I have tried returning the value by comparing row count and checking with user name but its not working in fast way.I am displaying the user id on form itself.Any alternate solution for this?

i have code to update multiple rows in a gridview. What I want is that if the row value is = 1 in the database then the row is checked otherwise it's not. I've put some pseudo code in below to illustrate what I want to achieve.

i am trying to do is set my page up so that when a user clicks on a row in the gridview a hidden checkbox is unchecked... i am new to asp.net but never thought something as simple like this could be so difficult to work out... i've been on it for around 5 weeks now, i started this on my first day of the website, and have actually designed and written the entire site while still trying to work this out... i first did this on the selectedindexchanged event:

have situation here. On checking checked checkbox inside template field on grid view. This my codethis code suppose to be update into mysql when checkbox of each row being checked. Mean only update database which row has being checked, other wise the data inside database not being updated.What happen now once button being click, code above will be executed, but all the data being update not considering the checked checkbox only.

I have a gridview on my page. I have a checkbox in each row of this gridview. For each checkbox in the gridview, I'd like to update my table accordingly, but I don't want them to have to hit a submit button every time they check the checkbox. I want them to check all the boxes they need to and at the end, they should hit one submit button.
