VS 2008 Getting User's IP Address / Box # In .aspx File

This is the current architechture and this is the question I have: Current architechture: We have an intranet application. No one accesses from outside the firewall. It's pretty simple architechture. We have a webservice and WebUI. The Web UI calls the webmethods of the webservice. So far so good. It works fine. Both webservice and WebUI runs under the context of the same service account (non human user account) that we created. The security is a role based security. If a user is a specific AD group, he can access with web UI. On the webui and webservice we have "Integrated windows authentication".
Code:
<authorization>
<allow roles="MycompanyApr-DataWriters"/>
</authorization>
So all the users and the service account that runs this webservice are in this AD group Apr-DataWriters. When a user launches this webUI, I want to find out either his box number of IP address of this box and datetime stamp. How can i get that information.

I am running a web-site with simple .aspx files on a standalone workgroup Windows Server 2008 called 'Max'.I had assumed that the .aspx files were accessed by the 'Network Service' account.The application pool for the website is running with 'Network Service' as the process account.I was puzzled, since 'Network Service' had no permission on these files. So I added event level auditing to the files, and I was suprised to learn that the .aspx files were being accessed by an account called Max$ (ie the computer account).this correct ?Why is the Network Service account not being used ??

I have read about the file upload control in asp.net and tried it and works great. But I want to know if I can use it for another purpose. I have a video capture control that can be used for webcam apps or anything else. It has a method called HTTPUpload where it will upload an image file to the server using the HTTP upload protocol. My question is can i use the .net FileUpload control for this? And if so, how can I pass the image file straight to the .aspx page without having to submit a button? Would the file be as a query string variable?
Arguments:
WebServer = web server address
WebPage = name of upload web page
Fields = list of 'fieldname' and 'fieldvalue' values delimited with '|'
Files = list of 'fieldname' and 'file path' values delimited with '|'
Returns TRUE if successful, or FALSE otherwise.
Example
vcx.HTTPUpload "[URL] , "upload.asp",
"field1|value1|field2|value2" ,
"file1|c:foldermypic.jpg|file2|c:foldermyvideo.avi"

The inline code
<% for (int i = 0; i < ThumbnailList.Items.Count; i++)
{ Response.Write("thumbnailViews[" + i.ToString() + "] = $find('" +
ThumbnailList.Items[i].FindControl("ThumbnailView").ClientID + "');
"); } %>
produces a bunch of compile time errors in Visual Studio 2008 - although it works fine.
But this seems to be the exact way inline code should be added, at least according to this MS help file:
[URL]
The errors are:
expected expression (at "<%")
expected ';' (at "int i")
expected ')' (at ThumbnailList.Items.Count;
expected ';' (at " i++)")
I have done a
<%@ Page Language="C#" ...
at the top of the file.

Visual Studio (SP1) runs fine until I try and view .aspx source files with the lines
<style type="text/css">
</stlye>
anywhere in them, upon which it freezes (i.e is totally unresponsive) and I have to use the task manager to shut it down.
I have read a lot of questions about Visual Studio 2008 crashing on viewing some source files. However, I still can't fix this problem.
I have systematically deleted and re-included all other code and it comes down to these two lines, which is very confusing. Sometimes it happens as soon as the lines are added, sometimes it doesn't freeze until I build the solution with any of the problem pages open. I can add external style sheets, and it only started recently.
I had Resharper 4.5 installed and have since uninstalled it, and do not have anything else installed.
Also, it happens to other people with the same source code, and re-installing Visual Studio does not fix the problem. So I have several questions:
Is there any way I can find out what's happening? I don't understand how the code (the css tag itself) could crash Visual Studio, and am thinking that this is unlikely and it must be something else within my solution, would this be a safe assumption? Could this have anything to do with installing Office 2010?

In my asp.net application, user can send/upload aspx files & those files can be accessed by the users later(there need to implement code level security as it would be better to run the application with minimal permission). So now I need to store these files & where is the better place to store in it. Shall I create a folder giving low permission inside the current project? or shall I create separate virtual directory like "www.mydomain.com/files" & place in it. I want to prevent the restarting of application domain also.

on change of employee dropdown, I need to get the employee id and so some other operation. (I am struggling here)
Is there any way where I can fire usercontrol event from aspx.cs file?

Surfing the internet ive noticed that some webpages when you open them you have like www.website.com wihtout any /index.html or default.aspx
But when i surf on my aspx website i get the adress to see like www.mywebste.com/default.aspx and when i go to another page it will be let say /about.aspx
Is there a possibility to change and when i come to my webpage it will be only www.mywebset.com without any /default.aspx or anthing else.
Or for example if i go to another page it will not be /about.aspx but only about, or will still only be seen www.mywebsite.com

I have a previously working ASPX website which also supports AJAX. However, we just upgraded our SQL Server to a new version and now this website is no longer working. I believe the problem is that now we need to again restore original SQL accounts and settings prior to this upgrade. This website also uses AJAX. Which accounts need to be created to fix this problem? When I navigate to this URL, I get the message below:
The address is not valid.

I work in VS 2008. Whenver I add a server control(Label) and set it properties in aspx.vb and build the solution, I get the error "Label1 not declared". While analyzing this issue I noticed that the event handler statements for the Label1 where not added in the designer.asp.vb file. These statement would actually be added automatically when I drag and drop a control to my webpage.
I would also like to inform the scenario after which this problem came to me. I was working in VS 2008 , VS 2005 and VS 2003 in the same machine.Could this have caused the issue ?
Now each and everytime when I add a control, I am adding the "With Events" code in the designer page to make my build succesfull which makes me to spend more efforts.

I am trying to fetch the IP address using this:-
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string ClientIP;
ClientIP = HttpContext.Current.Request.UserHostAddress;
Label1.Text = ClientIP;
}
This code outputs 127.0.0.1.
And the code below displays nothing!
string ClientIP;
ClientIP = HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR"];
Label1.Text = ClientIP;
How do I fetch the IP address? The REAL IP address of a user?
[EDIT]
I don't want EXACT location BTW. I need to know the country and then redirect the user to a webpage accordingly.
