I am having problem with calculated columns in the following code
[Code]....
orderDT is the DataTable. When "Extra" column has nothing (I am NOT using Default), "Total" comes out to be blank? "Price" will have a value (always) "Extra" may not have any value
Is there a way to delete a SQL row automatically, without human intervention? I plan to use this concept on advertisements. A user or guest can post his/her advertisement in my site. That advertisement should only last for a specific amount of time, let's say 30-days. After 30-days, the application automatically deletes the said advertisement without me, or any other person, doing anything. I've been searching for a solution these past few days, but it seems I can't find the right words to use in Google.
i am having a problem in counting subtotal in a gridview in asp.net
the gridview contains details like
[code].....
i need to calculate the sum of the user entry for each item and display into the resultant lable.
when ever the user entry is made the value in the result lable should be updated,i am binding a javascript function to the userentry textbox in rowdatabound event in code behind.in the javascript i am able to roll over all the rows of table using jquery, and calculate the value. here is the catch, the labletodispresult should be for that item group only, i.e. i need to get the sum of userentry for A -1,A-2, A-3 rows and seperately for B-1,B-2,B-3 rows, the i am using a class for the userentry textbox, and using this
[code]...
this gives me all the textboxes sum value, but i need the values based on the Item group.
I have a nested gridview like the code quoted below. How to retrieve the counter of each child gridview elements and display it as a field of the parent gridview ?
i have one grid which have 5 columns 1 for subject,2,3,4 for marks which have textbox to insert obtained marks, and last column have one lable to display total of (2+3+4),now i want total value on textbox event, when user enter any value to any column of textbox i need to display total of all three columns in total column.
So I am a beginner with .NET, Visual Studio, C#, etc. But I am wondering something about the code behind a form and a difference I am seeing in 2008 versus 2005. So lets say I have a simple Windows Form app, C#, and I throw a couple controls on it. Then I add some MessageBox.Show event handlers for the default events....in 2005 there is that little section within the code that is hidden that basically contains the code that 'registers' the controls with the system....I think. That may be a bad definition?? Basically I think that automatic code generated here just basically associates the event to the event handling code....anyway.
I can see this is 2005 (once I click the like gray box), but it does not appear anywhere in 2008. So this has to exist somewhere, and I just wanted to ask to be familiar with what is going on since I am new to this. I still have to figure out how to turn on the code line numbering in 2008, but I can google it.
I have trawled through the entire web and found that most examples show how to add a total to the footer.
However, I am not after this and I want to add a total for the column 'Office sqm' for each group of addresses ONLY when the value of the 'Summed' is equal to Yes.
I thought this would be easy but cannot now find out of to do it. All I want to do is execute an sql query on a table and in addition to the table's columns I want to also select/output a field that is calculated within the query. The table has a column "Owner" and I want to compare this to the UserId to produce a bool column "mine". Effectively doing:Select *, (Owner=@UserId) as mine where.....however, this doesn't work so how can I calculate a column in the select statement?
