View 4 RepliesI has developed a crystal report, which display the records from a table and filters them based on a parameter( date range parameter). now I has integrated the report into a asp.net page using c#, but when I am running the asp page it is not promption for the date range values, it used to prompt for date range when I run the report in crystal report.
View 2 RepliesI have the following code. What's happening is, on postback, the required attribute for sequence will fire. If it passed, the range check is skipped completely. If it fails, it never gets to the range check either. Have I coded something wrong?

As they have given option to pass typeof() as first parameter and min-max value.Is there any way we can implement range validator attribute for date by using typeof(datetime) ?please let me know if anyone has implemented same ?

I have a ListView InsertItemTemplate where there is field (Date) using the AJAX Library CalendarExtender. I want to add some validation to this field, whereby they can't add a date that is later than today. So I have added a RangeValidator and tried to set its MaximumValue to DateTime.Now on Page Load. Unfortuantely it isn't working.

I am inserting some text in texbox and there is range validation set as minimum as 10 and maximun as 100. But when i run the program, though i insert the text atleast or more than 10 characters, it is showing the error message of this range validation. how to set range so that user has to input atleast 10 character minimum ?

I have Checkbox in Gridview control, when i select the record in grid view corresponding entire record will be populated into form fields,it working absolutely fine,I have search method on my webform, if i searched based on particular value in form fileds, records will be filtered in Girdvie control when i select the record, same reocrd suppose to populate in form fields but not loading, above error occuring.normally no issues error occuring when i search and select record. error occuring at redline in the code

When using a range validator, if the user exceeds the defined range, How do you code it so it disables a button so the user can't continue. (without using JavaScript)
View 3 Repliesi've currently got a registration form that works fully however i've run into a problem getting the validation text to appear. basically i want the form to present the following message "Congrats you are now registered and can login using the login page" only if all the fields in it are filled in. However with what i have coded below it always presents the message, i am using asp.net 2.0 with webmatrix.

It give message if i enter less than 30. but if i enter 100 or 200 it also give message. How can i allow that value?
I have a web application (done in ASP/C#) that has regex validation on a text box. Initially the regex works perfectly fine. But then I also provide a button click event (clear) that allows the user the clear text box and change their input for a new query. At this point (page post back) the regex takes control and maintains control of the text box so a new query can't be run. Can anyone tell me what to do so that the regex doesn't fire on page postback and allows new input for validation?

I populate the ListBox with ListItems and each ListItem's Value property holds the full path to the file. But, I removed all of that and just put txtLog.Text = "test" inside of the "is selected" block.
I using RangeValidator (0-10)gularExpressionValidator for text box ,Iam using regx for validate numeric characters
But if i enter charcters it will fire both RangeValidator and regx validator eventhoug i am enterd character,
i want to fire both validators seperatly

I have an old database that still contains depreciated Text fields. I need to pull from these fields and display the results. You would think this should be easy... First my select statement caused a problem:

where CustomerInstructions is a Text field.
The error I get: "The text data type cannot be selected as DISTINCT because it is not comparable." A quick search shows I can cast the text field as a varchar(max).

Now I get an error while trying to load the instructions into a text box: "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: index"
Not sure what the problem is here. I have text and a text box. What's with the "out of range" crap?
I have a form that occassionally submits more than once per user. I am assuming the problem is that the user gets impatient and clicks submit multiple times. I have a bunch of asp validation controls on the page. There is multiple validation groups, the submit button belongs to the "main" group. How do I validate the "main" group, then if the page is valid, disable the button and submit it? I tried adding this.disabled=true; but that just disables it and doesnt submit or anything.

I tried adding a separate onclientclick javascript method to do some extra validation but it now appears to only run this and not continue on to run through the Validation controls. The extra javascript method is returning true, so I'm not sure if the onclientclick is clobbering the scripts from the Validation controls. Can anyone explain what I've done wrong?

These (correctly) raise a validation error: Validation (CSS 2.0): 'overflow-y' is not a known CSS property name.For years I ignored this, but it kinda feels wrong. It's possible to switch off warning in C# and other languages for a particular line, block, file or project. Is something similar possible for CSS (or HTML) errors or warnings? Instead of switching it all off, I prefer a more granular solution.
