Metadata And Validation - Range Check Skipped Completely

I have the following code. What's happening is, on postback, the required attribute for sequence will fire. If it passed, the range check is skipped completely. If it fails, it never gets to the range check either. Have I coded something wrong?

I have a table "RANGES" with the following columns
LowRange as int HighRange as int with the data similar to below select * from Ranges LowRange HighRange 1 100 101 200 201 300 . . . 901 1000
And another table "infoDetails" with the following columns
Range as INT amount as money with the data similar to below select * from infoDetails Range Amount 23 34.00 235 44.00 345 34.00 678 100.00 555 100.00 530 100.00 510 100.00 I need one report with the following format without cursor. LowRange HighRange Count Amount 1 100 1 34.00 101 200 0 0.00 . . 501 600 3 300.00 601 700 1 100.00
We are writing a feature that allows an administrator to block/allow ranges of ip addresses.
Is this easy enough to do with c#?
I was thinking of looking at each number [here].[here].[here].[here] and then mathing it with the ranges and just seeing if each number was between the two?
If we let users input a couple of ip ranges, e.g., 172.16.11.5 - 100, how could I write a fucntion to check if a IP (172.16.11.50) falls in the ranges?
Is there any existing library in .NET to leverage?
In ASP.Net textbox, How I can restrict the user to enter maxlength. I should show message in label or message box, if user exceeding the maximum length. I am using C# as code behind.
and i am facing problem while inserting the record.
eg:
if the room is already booked from 1st march 2010 to 10th march 2010.and if anybody is booking the same room from 4th march to 9th march it should show error message stating that
this room is already booked from 1st march to 10th march.
1. The plus sign '+' is skipped (doesn't appear) when I submit the content.2. When I copy -for example- a code from Visual Studio and paste it in the editor, the spaces are skipped.I want the code to be displayed exactly as it is in Visual Studio.
I have asp.net form having 4 check boxes. not check box list. these 4 check boxes having the ValidationGroup property with same name say "chkValied". I have added Custom Validator there. now want to check at least on check box should be check out of these.

I have a ListView InsertItemTemplate where there is field (Date) using the AJAX Library CalendarExtender. I want to add some validation to this field, whereby they can't add a date that is later than today. So I have added a RangeValidator and tried to set its MaximumValue to DateTime.Now on Page Load. Unfortuantely it isn't working.

I would like to extend the HtmlHelper by using metadata (similar to DataAnnotaions metadata). Specifically I want to be able to add a 'Title' attribute to html controls that will then appear as a tooltip on the control. I would like to keep the tooltip text with my model, for example by adding 'Tiltle' metadata to the model as follows:
[DisplayName("User Id")] [Title("Enter your 10 digit user id")] property UserId { get; set; }
So the questions are:
1. How do I add metadata (such as 'Title') to my model?
2. How do I access this metadata in my HtmlHelper extension method?
I am inserting some text in texbox and there is range validation set as minimum as 10 and maximun as 100. But when i run the program, though i insert the text atleast or more than 10 characters, it is showing the error message of this range validation. how to set range so that user has to input atleast 10 character minimum ?
i am having two textboxes one is startdate and another one is enddate and i have assign ajax calendar extender control for each textbox.Now i need to show ajax validator popup if the startdate and enddate range should be grater than one month.

I have a Range Validator as follows. It is for restricting values between 1900 and 2070. However, it fires error when I enter a alphabet also. I want this to be fired only if the user enters integer values. How do I overcome it?

In my table in the DB, I have these data types for some of its columns..
Address1 nvarchar(200) Address2 nvarchar(200) City nvarchar(200) State nvarchar(200)
Now in my aspx page I need to display this data in text boxes. What should be the max length for the text boxes for Address1 text box, Address2 textbox, City's text box and state's according to what I have in my DB ?
How do I apply the max length validation check on these text boxes in my page ?
