I'm trying to execute this statement every minute with SQL Agent, I have it set up as a job:
[Code]....
It's trying to update a column which data type is set to decimal. Just so you know what I really need out of it, here is an example:
[Code]....
The answer of which should add on 0.5 to the original value. If I were to use the increase value of 60 which then becomes 60/60 it will work.I'm dividing by 60 because the increase value is per hour so I make it smaller to get per minute value. Why is it doing this?
i hav one data table in which some decimal values are up 6 decimal places.. im trying to bind that Data table to DataGridView while binding i want to round decimal values up to two decimal palces here is my code
dt.Columns.Add("Orderid", typeof(string)); dt.Columns.Add("tagnumber", typeof(string)); dt.Columns.Add("Minimum Value", typeof(string)); dt.Columns.Add("Maximum Value", typeof(string)); int count = ds.Tables[0].Rows.Count; for (int i = 0; i < count; i++)
I was read your post: "Export GridView to Excel in ASP.Net with Formatting using C#" and is very useful. That code works perfect. But I need create a new format for a specific column in my sheet before to export it. For example:My DataTable have a column with decimal numbers and I'm trying reduce the tenths for each number.I want this: 2,874444 ----> 2,87 for a specific range. In this case I need it for all numbers in the column 13 or well said for the Column called N in Excel. Only reduce two tenths.
I'm developing a web application which get number with decimals. When I write 0.08 the rangevalidator understand 80 and it doesn't valid it. It does well if I write 0,08.The most extrange is In the develpoing computer and in the client computer I have the point as decimal separator in regional settings.Where can I change the decimal separator por rangevalidator in the cliente computer?
I am using a compare validator, which validates that the entered number is a valid double and also validates it against a given value (greater than zero). I am validating money amounts. Because of the location where the app is used, the locale sets the comma as the decimal separator. The problem is that when a user enters the value using the numeric keyboard, the number gets written with the dot as decimal separator, and is rejected by the validation. I'd like to have this validation done before triggering a postback (like a customvalidator would) and accepting both separators.
i have a repeater item that displays a double. occasionally the double seems to be coming out with 3 decimal places like this 1165.833. im trying to force it to two decimal places by wrapping it in a string.format method but it still comes out the same:
i have one Gridview in my .aspx page.i am showing dynamic data in this grid.how i will show the float or double number in 2 decimal places in gridview.
i have some labels on a page. some id like to show 1 decimal place, and others to show the nearest whole number.how do i control the decimal places my labels show?
I'm creating an excel file using ASP.net and everything is going just fine except one column has to be formatted as a decimal to 2 places but when it pulls into excel, excel automatically formats it as a whole number instead of keeping the decimal places.
sw.Write(String.Format("{0:f}", CDbl(dr(14)).ToString("0.00"))) this produces "20.00"
but when I open it in excel it's displayed as 20...if I select the whole column and format it as a number it gets displayed as 20.00 like it's supposed to but I don't want to have to do this (I can't do that) the file is supposed to be automatically picked up and imported into another system that needs the column to be a decimal.
I have a master gridview that I am populating data to. I am am also counting records of open and closed and I want to display the percentage closed. I am using the following code. It always rounds up. In other words, if the actual calculation shows it to be 0.16 it will always display in the label as 0.2 I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. If I just take two numbers and divide them in the code it displays 0.16676767. Here is the code I am using. The first line is on up in the code but I plugged it here to show you that I am using a session variable to add to as I rip through the code. I have all three of the variables I am placing the session variables in defined as Dim xxxxx as single.
Before I continue I'm going to let everybody know that I am not trying to follow a traditional .Net Membership Provider. I'm attemping to write my own Membership Provider which does not extend the default .Net Membership Provider b/c I feel that in areas it can become extremely cumbersome. Please keep this in mind before responding. Also keep in mind that I am trying to learn from this experience, not find an easy solution for some client's application.I am writing a custom membership provider that has password formatting functionality similar to .Net's default membership provider. I'm looking for soe good/easy examples of ways to encrypt/decrypt or hash password values. I previously tried going the RSA route, but got stuck when I had to Import an RSAParameter and was unsure of how to generate a RSAParameter.
I would like to have both Hashing and Encryption available, but only need Encryption. I'm also looking for a very strong encryption. I'm storing the password format in an external .xml file (similar to how the web.config stores the password format for .Net's Membership Provider) which will become manageable from the administrative side of my webapplication. If anybody knows of any existing Encryption libraries that may provide assistance, please feel free to post links. I only ask that they be open source solutions so I can see how they went about doing this.
The biggest difference between double and decimal is that double is a floating point variable type whereas decimal is a fixed point variable .What it means?? Please Explain the abovePoint with Example.According to me both are used to store the folating numbers, then whats the difference between two?
I am using MaskedEditExtender on my textbox.Set the masktype to number. Now the user can enter decimals also at any place to my textbox. Is it possible for my MaskedEditExtender to still accept that or I have to use custom javascript/ regex for this.
