Now I googled the error and found replies as below and changed the request stream lines in the above to the commented out response streams, this no longer throws the error but now no longer copies the file to the ftp site?
I'm getting this message when going to a web app that accesses my service.
"The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8)..."
The thing is, it happens once in a while even when no changes have been made to the service or the web app. And I can make it go away most of the time by going directly to the .svc?wsdl page in my browser and then coming back to the web app.
In asp i tryed to send mail with images. so i used AlternateViews and LinkedResources from System.net.mail class. before sending the mail i would like to add email.Fields.Add [URL] here System.net.mail class doesn't contain Fields. System.web.mail only have Fields.
After I imported a VS 2008 web project to VS 2010, I can't view aspx pages that have master pages in design mode. The page design mode displays "error creating control - contentplacehoder1 object reference not set to an instance of an object." The project builds and runs fine though. I have only one master page that all other aspx pages reference and I don't have any nested master pages.
I am trying to send email using gmail smtp. I used to bind the grid view to mail body using GridViewToHtml(GridView1) this method. I defined the method in same source file as ...
I want to get rid of that text, and display only the contents of my messageBody parameter and have the vCalendar file just attached to the mail message. How can i do this? Is this an outlook issue or a coding issue?
Edit: I'm only interested in displaying the message in Microsoft Outlook. I've looked into the source of the message (in Outlook right click > View Source) and the text i want to get rid of is within the <body></body> html tags of the message)
I have more or less zero .asp knowledge but i'm hoping this will be quick and easy. Bots have been spamming our web form. I have a simple .php form that submits with an .asp script. The .asp checks for valid email address etc. but i need to check andilter the actual body content.
I'm trying to create a validation layer that will contain methods to validate all my objects (in my Business Objects layer) .. but when I try to reference both the validation and business objects to each other I get a circular dependency error .. so I've decided to create a new layer (BLL) to validate the objects for me and I'll be able to reference both the validation and the object layers.
so I want to build some kind of class/interface -I don't know what fits more- to be like a generic type or a parent type that my method could accept it as a parameter and check for it's Name/ID property. Instead of defining a new method overload for each object type I have Simplification
I am creating a nightly process using a stored procedure to check for expiring records and emailing myself and the folks that need to see the information. The trouble I am having is trying to send the data in table "like" view in the message body. Here is the Proc you can see the point at which i try to use a table vairble then use it as a parameter for calling the email proc but it doesn't seem to work.
I am new to ASP.NET and have made a register page, 'get' which on submitting redirects to another page 'pick1' displaying the data in Gridview. In each row of the Gridview there are 'View' buttons which on clicking opens a pop-up page having 2 buttons 'send mail' and 'cancel'. On clicking 'send Mail' button, i want selected row of data to be sent by email instead of the entire gridview. Right now only the entire gridview data is coming to my mail. Also i want to attach a link to the email so that it redirects to the 'pick1' page again on clicking in email. How can I do it?
I developed a web service in VS2010 on my local machine, wrote a consumer of it also locally, and that all works.
I copied the dll and the asmx file to our server, and I am getting an error when I try to invoke it from a browser (also still on the server machine) to make sure it correctly exposes its web methods, but it is not, it is saying "Could not create type 'Service'". That error comes from this line:
Line 1: <%@ WebService Language="C#" CodeBehind="~/App_Code/WarrantyDuplicate.cs" Class="Service" %> There other web services in the same folder on the server that all work fine so I don't believe it's an IIS setup thing.
This is my first web service in C# and when I created it in VS I did think it odd that the code behind file went into App_Code (as you can see from the line in the asmx file) and is just named dot-cs rather than asmx-dot-cs. But since it worked fine locally, I wasn't sure that mattered.
