VS 2010 FTP Error - Cannot Send Content Body With This Verb-type

Aug 2, 2011

I have some code which I had working fine as below but now for some reason it throws the error "Cannot send a content-body with this verb-type".

Code:
try {
String destinationPath = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["HostedPath"].ToString();
String sourcePath = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["InternalPath"].ToString();
String destinationFolder = destinationPath + "/" + vendor;
String sourceFolder = sourcePath;

[Code] ....

Now I googled the error and found replies as below and changed the request stream lines in the above to the commented out response streams, this no longer throws the error but now no longer copies the file to the ftp site?

WCF / ASMX :: Content Type Text / Html Of The Response Message Does Not Match The Content Type Of The Binding

May 7, 2010

I'm getting this message when going to a web app that accesses my service.

"The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8)..."

The thing is, it happens once in a while even when no changes have been made to the service or the web app. And I can make it go away most of the time by going directly to the .svc?wsdl page in my browser and then coming back to the web app.

SQL Server :: Send Storedprocedure Results As Email Body

Mar 2, 2011

I have 3 procedures.

1. SP_General - Gives the output with 3 columns like: ID NAME DOB with multiple rows

2. SP_HTML - Gives the HTML formatted output like: <table><tr><td>ID</td><td>NAME</td><td>DOB</td></tr></table>

3. SP_Email - Sends email (written by using extended stored procedures). Input parameters: Body, etc

When I DO:

1. EXEC SP_Email @Body = 'Hello this is testing'. I recieve the email saying: Hello this is testing

2. EXEC @Results = SP_General

EXEC SP_Email @Body = @Results. I recieve the email saying: 0

3. SELECT @Results = EXEC SP_HTML

EXEC SP_Email @Body = @Results. I recieve the email saying: 0

4. SELECT @Results = '<table><tr><td>ID</td><td>NAME</td><td>DOB</td></tr></table>' (If hardcoded like this)

EXEC SP_Email @Body = @Results. I recieve the email with correct output in a nice formatted table: ID NAME DOB

Its working in 1 and 4 cases but not 2 and 3. As I cannot hardcode like that, can anyone tell me where I'm doing mistake in 2 or 3 cases?

C# - How To Prevent The Attachment Content From Displaying In The Body Of The Message

Oct 6, 2010

I'm working on an asp.net c# application that sends an email with one attachment.The attachment is a vCalendar file.
Here's the code:

StringBuilder sbCalendar = new StringBuilder();
DateTime dtStart = eventDate;
DateTime dtEnd = eventDate;[code].....

I want to get rid of that text, and display only the contents of my messageBody parameter and have the vCalendar file just attached to the mail message.How can i do this? Is this an outlook issue or a coding issue?

Edit: I'm only interested in displaying the message in Microsoft Outlook. I've looked into the source of the message (in Outlook right click > View Source) and the text i want to get rid of is within the <body></body> html tags of the message)

C# - How To Create A Generic/parent Type That You Could Send To Methods Without Having To Define An Overload For Each Type

Mar 5, 2011

I'm trying to create a validation layer that will contain methods to validate all my objects (in my Business Objects layer) .. but when I try to reference both the validation and business objects to each other I get a circular dependency error .. so I've decided to create a new layer (BLL) to validate the objects for me and I'll be able to reference both the validation and the object layers.

so I want to build some kind of class/interface -I don't know what fits more- to be like a generic type or a parent type that my method could accept it as a parameter and check for it's Name/ID property. Instead of defining a new method overload for each object type I have

Data Controls :: Send Particular GridView Row As Email Body On Button Click

Feb 19, 2014

I am new to ASP.NET and have made a register page, 'get' which on submitting redirects to another page 'pick1' displaying the data in Gridview. In each row of the Gridview there are 'View' buttons which on clicking opens a pop-up page having 2 buttons 'send mail' and 'cancel'. On clicking 'send Mail' button, i want selected row of data to be sent by email instead of the entire gridview. Right now only the entire gridview data is coming to my mail. Also i want to attach a link to the email so that it redirects to the 'pick1' page again on clicking in email. How can I do it?

Below is my code for 'pick1' page:

protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (!IsPostBack)
{
this.BindData();

[Code] ....

And the image of my 'pick1' and 'popup' page:

VS 2010 - Web Service Runs Locally But When Deployed Has Error Could Not Create Type Service

May 24, 2012

I developed a web service in VS2010 on my local machine, wrote a consumer of it also locally, and that all works.

I copied the dll and the asmx file to our server, and I am getting an error when I try to invoke it from a browser (also still on the server machine) to make sure it correctly exposes its web methods, but it is not, it is saying "Could not create type 'Service'". That error comes from this line:

Line 1: <%@ WebService Language="C#" CodeBehind="~/App_Code/WarrantyDuplicate.cs" Class="Service" %>
There other web services in the same folder on the server that all work fine so I don't believe it's an IIS setup thing.

This is my first web service in C# and when I created it in VS I did think it odd that the code behind file went into App_Code (as you can see from the line in the asmx file) and is just named dot-cs rather than asmx-dot-cs. But since it worked fine locally, I wasn't sure that mattered.
