I would like to know how i can set the onload="initialize()" of the body if its on a certain page,
how to stop body onload= event from firing when user clicks server side button .
this is my below code in client side
[code]....
when i clicks server side button it raises body onload function again?
I want to raise this body onload function only when page load not in server side button click.
All I want to do is access the <body> element from the code-behind of a content page and add a class name to it.
I have a top-level master page with the <body> element in it. Then I have a nested master page which is the master page for the content page. From the code behind of the content page I want to add a class name to the body element. That's all.
I have this in the top-level master:
<body id="bodyNode" runat="server">
I added this to the code-behind for the content page:
Master.bodyNode.Attributes.add("class", "home-page");
And I get a message that:
System.Web.UI.MasterPage' does not contain a definition for 'bodyNode
If I add this to the aspx content page:
<% @ MasterType VirtualPath="~/MasterPage.master"%>
The message then changes to:
bodyNode is inaccessible due to its protection level
I've wasted like 2 hours on what feels like something that should be really simple to do
i want to access master page body in content page (code behind)
<body id="pagebody" runat="server"> (master page body)
I am using Master page and Content page combination.But how can i access <body> tag and it's event (onload, onunload) of Master page in .aspx page that is not a content page.

I'm working on an asp.net c# application that sends an email with one attachment.The attachment is a vCalendar file.
Here's the code:
StringBuilder sbCalendar = new StringBuilder();
DateTime dtStart = eventDate;
DateTime dtEnd = eventDate;[code].....
I want to get rid of that text, and display only the contents of my messageBody parameter and have the vCalendar file just attached to the mail message.How can i do this? Is this an outlook issue or a coding issue?
Edit: I'm only interested in displaying the message in Microsoft Outlook. I've looked into the source of the message (in Outlook right click > View Source) and the text i want to get rid of is within the <body></body> html tags of the message)
I have more or less zero .asp knowledge but i'm hoping this will be quick and easy. Bots have been spamming our web form. I have a simple .php form that submits with an .asp script. The .asp checks for valid email address etc. but i need to check andilter the actual body content.
Body = Request("Body")
f Body = "" Then
i want to search content whatever in body tag.

Code:
try {
String destinationPath = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["HostedPath"].ToString();
String sourcePath = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["InternalPath"].ToString();
String destinationFolder = destinationPath + "/" + vendor;
String sourceFolder = sourcePath;
[Code] ....
Now I googled the error and found replies as below and changed the request stream lines in the above to the commented out response streams, this no longer throws the error but now no longer copies the file to the ftp site?

I'm looking to do a short term hack on a site. The site is a ASP.NET site with a master page. The body tag is in the master page. I'd like to specify which ID should be in the body tag from within various content pages. What I don't know is if you can have this type of access to the body tag when your JS is within the body tag. For various reasons, I'd like to try to accomplish this in JS, not .NET.
Rephrasing for clarity: I would like to use JavaScript to specify a body ID from within the body tag of a site. For example:
<body id="MyID">
JS to change MyID to another name
</body>

View 1 RepliesI am working on a website with a half dozen or so pages that all use a master page template. As such the BODY tag is located in the master page markup. View 8 RepliesI tried to start my first ASP.NET MVC program and wanted to modify some parts of the project.
When i tried to change the background color of the page body, i went to the Site.css file and changed the color to #ffffff. When I rebuilt the program the color remained the same, and I found out the only way to change it is to delete it and load it back to the project.
I'm trying to write a way of setting the css class on the body tag in a master page from the content form page through a page directive variable. Everything seems like it should work here, however when I use my BodyCssClass variable, the page content isn't generated, just the master page content. Also, if instead of using the page directive variable, I just put <% BodyCssClass = "mybodyclass"; %> in default.aspx, that works.
