I got an "Package load failure" message as below:
Package "Microsoft.visualStudio.ShellConfigPackage..." has failed to load properly.
I uninstall and re-install vs2008 but no luck.
How to fix it?
When clicking on design view button - Received error "Microsoft.VisualStudio.Xaml" has failed to load properly(GUID = {E58C2A8B-BCC4-4559-AD59-D62EB6D58A22}). Possible environment corruption.
View 2 Replies I downloaded and installed VS 2010 Ultimate as a trial and I received "sucessful" message at the end of the installation.
But when I opened VS 2010 Ultimate I received this warning "The 'Visual Studio HTML Editor Package' package did not load correctly.' error message".
The next thing I know is that all the Toolbox icons are grayed out (I tried to create a .NET web application). There is no design/split pane.

I just migrated myDocuments folder to a new laptop (windows 7, 64 bit). The visual studio project WAS working on my desktop computer (windows XP pro).
Runtime error is:

It references the config file, so I am looking to see if I need to add something in there or what?

But when I try to run it on my development, It gives some errors of AJAX. undefined string literals. Microft ajax client-sisde framework failed to load. sys is undefined.. I've check my web.config file. But I cant find any problems into it.

Ever since I'm trying to fix that by kinda "reallowing" the package, or reinstalling it. I even deinstalled and installed VS completely, without success. I discovered a solution for when someone would have clicked to "ignore" the message, but not for when the packages were disallowed. Disallowing these packages results in a VS not recognizing Markup / CSS language.

Ive just been asked if its possible to use something other than a java library as our network engineers dont want to put the this on our server. Is there anything similar to java.util.zip that I can use in a vs2005 package ?

And I still get this error.I thought it was something in my website or web.config, so I opened up VS2008, selected to create a new ASP.NET Website and let it go..Here is the default.aspx page and web.config created by VS2008. Without modifying anything other than chaning the website properties to .NET 3.5 instead of .Net 2.0, I still get the error on this website when I hit F5. I have other websites with the ajax update panel and script manager on this server that work fine and have tried the web.config from them on a new project. But any new projects still do not work.I have verified that the settings for the working project as well as this new project in IIS are the same. I got VS2010 and SQL Server 2008 R2 64bit installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2, I need to execute a SSIS package from ASP.NET. From the research most people uses DTS, but it seems DTS does not support for 64bit, does anyone have a way make it working without using DTS?

Yesterday I was working on a development laptop from home on a web app. When I finished I checked everything in to TFS as normal. When I came in to the office today I got the latest version from source explorer in VS2008 then opened the solution... and the website is not there. There is a website project, but instead of the project name it has the location, and a folder whose name looks like a GUID. The other DLL projects loaded as expected. None of the web site files are there.
Were this a windows app I'd open the project files in a text editor to look for paths that had got lost, but I can't see how to do this for a web project.
Unfortunately the development laptop is still at home, so I'm hoping there's a way to fix this without needing it...
