I have this following problem in Visual studio 2005, VB and sql server 2005.
when i am trying to read the data from the database getting this error ("I have this following problem in Visual studio 2005, VB dot net application")

On the WebFrmSales.aspx, regarding the textbox controls, after the user have updated the SQL SERVER table with it. I tried to write the coding to clear all the textbox control but it not working.

I have built visual basic windows forms application with Visual Studio 2010. I want to be able to create a report with a yes/no parameter that show either a detail list or a summary only.I built such a report with a windows form and reportviewer.I used View Report Data in the report design mde to create a "ShowAll" parameter but I am now unable to provide this parameter at runtime because the reportviewer does not prompt for a parameter. I found no visual basic code to set "ShowAll" parameter from a report form checkbox placed on the report form to the reportviewer.

I have a vs 2008 project that I converted to vs 2010. I added a label to my aspx page but I couldn't get it be recognized in the c sharp until I realized that it wasn't added to the designer.cs file. I added it to that file like this:

and it worked fine. Why would I have to add something to the designer.cs file though? Shouldn't this have been created automatically when I built the project?

In both VS 2008 and VS 2010 when we open websites using FILE > OPEN WEBSITE we get a prompt asking us if we want to convert the website to .Net 3.5 or .Net 4.0.
I know once you answer it wont ask again for that site, but it gets annoying when we have alot of websites. We cannot convert the sites because the servers they run on are too old.
Is there a way to disable this prompt permanently?

As that title says my aspx page shows a compile error on the @Page directive that says "ASP.NET runtime error: Cannot load file or Assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParser' or one of it's dependencies". The project compiles with our error and it runs with no problem. The only real problem that this causes it that the intellisense for anything other than simple HTML is broken so I can't type asp:Controlname and have intellisense show me a the list of items or properties in a control. I get a green squiggly line under all the asp tags saying "Unrecognized tag prefix or device filter 'asp'". This project doesn't directly use SQL SMO but it does reference a project that does. However, I removed that reference and the problem still doesn't go away. I have installed on my development machine the full SQL client and for both SQL 2005 and 2008 (including the SDK) from the Developer editions of both versions. This was not a problem on VS2005 and the project compiles without error in VS2010 too.

I have a main page with several menu choices, one of which launches an ajax enabled window. The following pattern occurs:If I:
1) Launch site
2) Select menu choice listed on master page that is not ajax enabled
3) Select menu choice that launches ajax enabled popup.
4) close pages
All is OK.If I repeat the steps, but in step 2 I select an ajax enabled page and them launch popup, I get the following error:Message: Sys.ArgumentTypeException: Object of type 'Sys.UI._Timer' cannot be converted to type 'Sys.UI._Timer'.I have spent days on this and have been unable to solve it. If I remove the ajax ToolkitScriptManager and update panels from any of the pages and launch the popup, it works. We are using visual studio 2005 and SSMSE for this project. I had already created some pages which is capable of inserting and updating the values on the sql server. After inserting and updating it will redirect to another page to view the result. When I add a homepage, something just mess up. When I insert a new items for the table, it prompts a message, DBnulls cannot be converted to type integer. When I try to check at the sql tables, the data was inserted but I was not able to view the result on the other page.

I have an asp.net web site. The reason I'm using web site instead of web application is that my project uses Sitefinity CMS system which uses the web site model.
I have several web user controls (ascx and code behind). I need a reference in the code behind of one control to another. I'm using the following code:

SilverlightShowHeader is the name of the class (the second control) which I need to reference. I haven't set any namespaces for both controls.
When I try to build the web site it shows the following error:

I started an app in VS2008. I did it as a web site. I installed VS 2010 (yay) today. I wanted to start over as a web project. I made a Master Page. I made content pages. One of my content pages has a form on it. Super simple text boxes and submit.
I added a folder called App_Code and placed my class files there by doing Add New Item and pasting the code into the new class. I have person and persons. The persons collection class references person. In the same folder, the persons class finds the person class. Up one level in a page's code behind, I am gettingthe error
The type or namespace name 'person' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
For giggle, I move person.cs up a folder. Still cannot find the person. Persons collection class still CAN find person. My code behind cannot find it.
A little reading tells me I have to set that folder as an app folder in IIS. I am running Windows 7 ersonal... I cannot find IIS. If not there, I ask myself what they heck is my app running under?
for being such a noob. Anyone know what is going on here?
