Visual Studio :: Unable To Find Aspnet_regsql.exe?
Jun 27, 2010
Downloaded Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010. I cannot find aspnet_regsql.exe anywhere on my pc, searching to download it. Google searched, search in msdn, microsoft, still cannot find this file to download. where I can download this file from?
Is there somewhere I can just download it? If not how can I get ahold of this tool?
Everything I've read says it's supposed to be in the [drive:]\%windir%Microsoft.NETFrameworkversion folder. So on my computer I went to: C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft.NET and there is no Framework folder there. I've search my computer and it just isnt' there.
I'm on Win 7, VS 2008 and SQL Express 2008.
I did find one forum post where a guy was having the exact same problem in Vista, and he said this post: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2008/05/27/8555723.aspx answered his question. Unfortunately this doesn't help me. (For solution 1 I downloaded and installed .NET Framework 3.5 redistributable package but that didn't do anything at all and as for solution 2, I'm not on Vista and my Win 7 is all up to date.)
i am using VS 2008, whiile working on the walkthroughs of restful services(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd203052.aspx), i did not find any template for the ADO.net services. Could you please direct me to the link where i can download/install the required template or package.
This is sudhir i am trying to work on business intelligence and i installed the visualstudio 2008 and sqlserver 2005 .But i am not bale to find the business intelligence template in the visualstudio 2008.
I am developing a web application in which I am suddenly facing an issue. I have a webpage which contains many controls, one of the control is JQuery color picker. Now, I am upgrading my system with telerik controls. As part of this process, I replaced textbox(txtcolor) with radcolorpicker with a different id(colorPicker). Suddenly, my code behind file is not throwing any errors like 'unable to find txtColor'. It is running successfully without build errors. But, when I open the page, system is throwing runtime exception(txtColor not found) which is correct.
I tried to change other controls with asp.net controls, still the problem persists. So, I dont think it is anything to do with telerik.
After attaching debugger when i run my application it's give me error "Could not find stored procedure 'sp_sdidebug'".I am using 1.14 framework in backend sql server 2005
I just went to the Get Started page and downloaded the package, I was following the exercises untill i got to one where I have to open SQLServer, which i donīt have installed, in the example the SQL management Studio is inside the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 folder, but I donīt have it in this folder i try to download it again but the Dowload Manager says there are no files to download.
In Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express, Edit->Quick Find mean item, the "Quick Find" item, everytime I have to select "Find In Files" again, how can I set "Find In Files" as default?
I have my project in VS2005, its is working fine last few years, But now durning development i face problem regarding breakpoints, here Im unable to get stoppage at breakpoints, I have change setting of security in Internet options add localhost as trusted site, but still its remain the same.
I also try Attach to process.... option from the debug, here webDev.WebServer process of running site is disable. Now Im totally unable to debug my project.
I work for a financial company that has many branches all over the world. Their network security is no 1 on their network priority list. Even the workstation I use is locked down pretty tight, so I don't have the ability to change or install anything. The firewalls are also pretty much very well controlled and I can't really do much, outside of the network, other than browse the web.
My problem is related to all of this...I wanted to create a web app that queries the Google Maps api to get info about the location clicked on a map, by using their reverse geocoding api.If I type the following into my browser, I get the results I require:
When I use that url within my app, I get an "Unable to connect to remote server" error. I can only assume that this is related to our restrictions on the firewall, as if I publish the page to my web site (outside the company network), and run it, it works perfectly.
I decided that I would build a small web service with the required code in it to return the data I need. I have written the web service and published it to my site. When I test it by browsing to the asmx file location on my site, I get the usual info presented about the web service.
My problem is that when I try adding the web service to my mapping app, I get the following error, and the "Add Reference" button is disabled:
There was an error downloading 'http://www.carrollsoft.za.bz/mailclient/service.asmx'. Unable to connect to the remote server.A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed...I thought that web services were supposed to be able to get around firewalls, because they use port 80? Our proxy server isn't on port 80, so I added the following to the web config on my mapping app, but I still get the same error:
I have a project with hundreds of usercontrols but many of them are old and no longer used. Is there are quick way to find out which ones can be deleted?
I am using the ASP Web Application template from Visual Studio for my website. I created an images folder in the directory directly, and not in visual studio. I cannot get visual studio to show this directory. How do you add directories in visual studio or get it to recognize it. I know most of you are thinking of responding with "Why don't you just create the image directory through visual studio".
I installed visual studio team eddtion and i can't find web application projects in it . Is it the wrong version for having web application projects or .. ? I installed it full features and i don't know what could be wrong..
i want to find the country name from the world map:Description:1. I want to show a world map.2. I have lot of branch offices all over the world2. On the world map where ever the user is clicking then display the clicked location branch office address.
I am developping an MVC3 RC2 application and just after hitting F5 on my asp web application, I am getting this error message program '[7780] w3wp.exe: Managed (v4.0.30319)' has exited with code -2 (0xfffffffe).So I am totally unable to debug my application
I have used Visual Web Developer (versions up to 2010) with no problems for several years. Starting last week I am no longer able to run or debug any ASP.Net application locally. I am running Windows XP, IIS 5.1, IE8, Visual Web Developer 2005, targetting .Net 2.0. I am not able to Start Debugging or Start Without Debugging for any project. When I attempt to Start Debugging, IE browses to [URL] instead of to the project I am attempting to run. When I Start Without Debugging, IE opens to about:blank and then when I close that window another IE window opens to [URL]
Maybe irrelevant, but I had the same problem with IE7 and VWD 2010 (versus IE8, VWD 2005). IIS is set to .Net version 2.0. I have the same problem whether I add a virtual directory to my project in IIS or not.
