I'm now changing to a list control so that multiple items can be selected. So far I have some code that places the items selected into a string that looks like this:
'item1','item2','item4'
For the above example I would need all the the records returned when the field action_ref contains either item1 or item2 or item3.
I have a listbox which populated from using a datatable. I have a Add button in my page. On clicking the add button I want to insert a blank row in the listbox. This can be done easily by

after this is done I want to select this item as in setfocus on this item.How do I do this.
I have an ASP.NET page which takes a number of parameters in the query string:
search.aspx?q=123&source=WebSearch
This would display the first page of search results. Now within the rendering of that page, I want to display a set of links that allow the user to jump to different pages within the search results. I can do this simply by append &page=1 or &page=2 etc.
Where it gets complicated is that I want to preserve the input query string from the original page for every parameter except the one that I'm trying to change. There may be other parameters in the url used by other components and the value I'm trying to replace may or may not already be defined:
search.aspx?q=123&source=WebSearch&page=1&Theme=Blue
In this case to generate a link to the next page of results, I want to change page=1 to page=2 while leaving the rest of the query string unchanged.
Is there a builtin way to do this, or do I need to do all of the string parsing/recombining manually?

I have an order page done in asp.net c#, and which a user adds ingredients to a set of list boxes, once the user and finished adding items, they get combined to make a sandwich then added to another list box that shows the sandwiches and their ingredients. I also have a button to allow the user to remove the ighlighted sandwich from the order, this all works fine until the page loads up with a query string that skips the adding of ingredients and just shows the sandwiches on a order, the listbox of sandwiches populates fine but I then get an error when the remove button is clicked which is

I have two list boxes, one has a list of available users (about 1500 items) and the other is blank. There is a button to add the seleted items from the first list box to the second one. Both of these listboxes are within an update panel and for some reason it takes over 20 seconds for the items to show up in the second listbox.
Is this normal? Is there an alternate, faster way of doing this?

In order to make the website work with many languages, now realize that I will need to have the code for each page reside in separate code-behind files that can be combined with the markup in various languages. I assume this means that I will need a solution with a common project of code-behind files that is merged with a project of markup files for each language in order to create websites for host servers in the various countries. After I separate the code into code-behind files from the markup for each web page, I will need to know how to organize the solution for debugging and building each website and where to place each file.

I have two tables, Users, and Affiliates. They both have a very typical schema. The FK that joins them is the UserId field, which is in the Affiliates table. I want to create a LINQ query that pulls the Username from the Users table using the AffiliateId value. The AffiliateId is a primary key of the Affiliates table.
I have tried to accomplish this using many variations of the following code:

In the above query, I expect to get a single row result set. However, I instead receive the entire table of results.
How can I make this work? I have yet to see an example or article out there to do what I am trying to do.

Using StringSplit SQL function the string passed from Listbox is separated where the delimeter is comma ( , ).ListBox is in search form where user enters search criteria using other controls and the ListBox. All works good by simply using below SQL statement in Stored procedure that carries search.
