I have added textbox and checkbox in nested(child) gridview....
I have two checkboxes on my form.
- How can I uncheck a checkbox using client side code when the other checkbox is checked?
- Is there a way to check server side on form submission that at least one check box is checked?
Here is my situation: I have a overview of subscriptions that look simple:
Active (bool), ID (int), StartDate (datetime) and MaxUsers (int).
I've put this in a Gridview and it renders nicely.
Now everything is simply in ItemTemplates and are formatted.
Now a new feature: In the Gridview active should be a checkbox and when clicked on it, it should (de)activate the subscription. Or simply said, Active status is updated. Now me being a simpleton thinks:

But! the event doesnt get fired. Now I've searched with google and also through this forum and every time I get the answer: autopostback on true or use commandname. Now for this little feature I think the commandname use in combi with rowbound is overkill for such a little thing.
Now I hope I'm just missing something because this would be really nasty and stupid to make it so complicated. I like the autopostback and oncheckchanged combination because it logical, but why doesnt it work?
I in page load i change the checkstate of checkbox false to true or true to false, in turn which i expect to fire the check_change state but seems not firing the event

I am dynamically binding a typed list to a GridView control.
The Grid View Control is in an asp.net page that is wrapped in an asp:UpdatePanel (Ajax).
The first column contains a checkbox control.
Only one checkbox may be checked in this column.
If the user checks a checkbox, all other checkbox must be unchecked.
I am trying to achieve this using client-side script without success.
In the handler for the GridView's RowDatabound event, have attempted to add an attribute to the CheckBox contained within the cell.

autopost back is true, it's posting back on being checked, but i'm not sure how to capture the fact that it's checked before I recreate/add it to the parent control again.
i can search all controls and find it prior to re adding it to the parent, but it never shows checked...

But here even if i select a checkbox onclick event gets fired. i dont want the checkbox to fire this event. It should just act for selection of rows. What shall I do?
I can't figure out why, but before my form is even displayed, the CheckChanged event fires. I don't even have a chance to check anything. Has anyone seen anything like this?

I have a gridview with two checkbox columns (Freeze & Display) with 10 rows, when i check the Freeze checkbox in 5th row, then all the rows from 1st to 5th row will get checked, and then "Display" checkbox will get automatically checked and get disabled for the first 5 rows. Then when i uncheck the 3rd row Freeze checkbox, then the row below from 3rd to 5th row should get unchecked. Is this functionality can be implemented.

Is there a way to check/uncheck the checkbox in a tree node by just clicking on the treenode text. I tried something like this - I can check the right checkbox when I click on the node text but I am unable to uncheck it. Is there a way to do that.

I have used an Update Panel, and place two RadioButtons in Update Panel.
Radiobutton1 ID="radio1" and RadioButton2 ID="radio2"
Then I have set AsynPostBack for Both radioButton's.
Now, on Page Loads radio1 will triggered and fetch all data from Database, then when I click on radio2 it will triger and fetch all data, but if I again click radio1 It doesn't get trigger.
Same process I have done by setting PostBack on both Radiobutton's but show's same result.
