Web Forms :: Counting Number Of Purchases Made By A User?
Aug 9, 2010
sorry for the question I'm currently developing a website, a online purchase site.. Is there a way to record the number of purchases made by a customer?I'm using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate c#.. Thanks again..
I have a gridview where there is a column of checkboxes for the user to check on for the products he/she wants. After checking, they will have to click on a button. for every checkbox that is checked, the result will be stored in an arraylist. after the button is clicked, the label will show the count of the number of objects in the arraylist, which is the number of items that were checked. However, it appears that objects are not being added to the arraylist. What's the problem? Below is some portion of the code for more understanding.
I am using ASP.Net + .Net 3.5 + VSTS 2008 + IIS 7.0 + C# to develop a web application. I want to count how many users are online. This is my current implementation,when Session_Start is called, I will increase # of users online by 1;when Session_End is called, I will descrease # of users online by 1.Two quesitons,A Is that implementaiton correct?B. Another question is, I think this method can not track # of users of real time, since when user closes the browser, Session_End will not be called immediately (Session_End will be deferred to be called). Correct?
We have a ASP .NET application which will be deployed in a web farm. We would like to find the total number of sessions that have been established. If we create a counter in global.asax.cs, it will be able to count only within aspnet_wp process. In a web farm, multiple nodes will have IIS on multiple machines. If we use SQL server-based session management, can we get the total number of active session by querying the Session DB? If we later decide to use session state server to store the sessions, can we get the number of active sessions?
I guess what im really saying is if i put a link to an mp3 file on a page, and i wanted that file to be able to be downloaded by the user is there a way to count the number of times that link has been pressed by a page user?
I am dealing with a problem that i have to make decision based on the number of items in a cascading dropdownlist. unfortunately this ajax toolkit control does not expose a Items collection.how do i count the number of items in this control ?
i am wishing to count total number of visits on any particular page with also the ability to work when IIS reset is done, i think by using database we can solve it.
how to count total number of visits on any particular page?
I have used user timeline to display all the tweets made by a specific user, but what I am trying to achieve is to display all the tweets on my website that the user has made or received. Is there any way to accomplish it.
I would like a function/ script to sum the total inputs as an integer or if that's the correct term for it. So it would calculate something like thisJob
PerReview1 = 3 summed as 1JobPerReview2 = 0 summed as noneJobPerReview3 = 5 summed as 1JobPerReview4 = 9 summed as 1
I would also like a total box labeled "NOF (number of factors)to calculate the selections such as;
NOF = 3
This is starting to be mind bugling function
getItems(){var items = new Array();var itemCount = document.getElementsByClassName("items"); var total = 0;var id= '';for(var i = 0; i < itemCount.length; i++){id = "p"+(i+1);total = total + parseInt(document.getElementById(id).value); } document.getElementById('tot').value = total;return total; } getItems(); function getItems() { var items = new Array();
I have the following simple logic on my buttionclick. Along with this, I need to implement my checkboxlist validation and need to find if more than one boxes are checked.
I attemtpted diffferent things by goggling, nothing worked. I would appriciate your help.
protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { foreach (ListItem item in CheckBoxList1.Items) { if (item.Selected) { //item.Text and item.Value will give you other properties... if (item.Text == "CSG") { Response.Redirect("page2.aspx"); } if (item.Text == "GGSN") { Response.Redirect("page3.aspx"); } } } }
In my application i want to share one .txt for read and write among no. of users. in Button click i m writing data in that file and in tick event of Timer i m reading that file, In tick event i m reading that file based on file based cachin means if file have been changed then only i m reading that file but when i have put m application i IIS then i m not able to get updated file.
I've got a user control which contains a number of other user controls. I need programmatic access to some of the properties of one of the inner controls from the page which contains the outer control.
So, Page contains Outer Control contains Inner Control, and Page needs access to Inner Control's properties.
I could of course create properties in Outer Control which return the corresponding properties in Inner Control, but this would be tedious. What I would like to do is add a property to Outer Control which returns Inner Control itself, so that Page can access its properties directly:
(In codebehind for Outer Control):
public UserControls_InnerControl InnerControl { get { return this.ctlInnerControl; } }
But when I build the website I get:
The type 'UserControls_InnerControl' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'App_Web_fc5rstgb, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
What the hell? I work programmatically with instances of user controls all the time (for example, adding them dynamically to other controls) and I've never seen this before. Is there anything I can do?
Edit: Interestingly, it's not the property in OuterControl which exposes InnerControl which is causing the exception. It's the code in Page which consumes this property that errors.
I have a bounded dropdownlist. there may be many items in dropdownlist, i dont know how manty they will be depending on some conditions.suppose there are N items are bounded in this dropdownlist let say
A B C D E . . . . . N
and I am also doing that if i select A and click add button then it'll be added in a gridview, then i selectB and click add button the B will be added to the gridview.. and so on.I want make it restricted like if i again select A and click add button then it should not be added to the grid view and show msgs thatA is already in the gridview. and if I delete A from gridview that and select A again and click add button the A should be add to the gridview.just let me know the logic with explanation.
In my gridview, I want to count the number of times each value (based of course on a field in my gridview) occurs. For example, if I have a field called Dept, in my result there is the following:
Dept A Dept A Dept A Dept B Dept B Dept C
What I am trying to do is to show that for each Dept A, the count is 3, and for Dept B, the count is 2 and for Dept C the count is 1. When I have my count, I want to save them into my hidden field, which I am going to use else where in my code.
I know I need to do this in my rowdatabound event, and I have had ago, but the results I am getting back are not correct.
I am have created the link in the gridview datarow and have redirected the querystring to a new page, however how do I make the count of the new page based on the querystring? Essentially, I would like to count and display in a textbox the number of times a user has clicked on the selected row.
I have several repeaters on the same page. They are not nested. Because of design and database issues I had to keep them independent. I need to total the amount in a particular column for all repeaters. Is there a common approach to this or do I have to hack something?
I tried to find out about subject but with no success. The point is that in the beginning I've made many user controls. My site is too slow. I have not idea yet if it is because of user controls.
I would like to count the number of page views. I am able to use the global.asax file and a label to obtain this. However, this gives me the total count of the page. That is great, however I like to count the number of users accessing the page when the user clicks on a particular gridview row value from the previous page.
I have a gridview in the gridview a value that links to a new page. This new page contains the row values. I would like to count the number of users who have accessed this new page based on the gridview row value. As such the page count will be different based on each row.
I am using the asp.net and framework 2.0 with Ajax enable web.i have a text box and when user will enter "a" or number in this will search the name started from "a" character or number if he or she enter the number basically we can say live-search.
