On a check box check changed I want to test some conditions and based on that I want to display a confirmation message. Based on the user action, OK or Cancel I want to proceed or stop the process. How can I do that. I tried this,

Additionally i need to prompt a Confirm dialog box on button click with some custom message as "Are you sure?" . If user click on cancel nothing would happen but if clicks on OK then should first check all validations, if it's passed all then should display progress bar, If not passed then validators should raise message for corresponding fields.
On this page i have used AJAX TOOLKIT also.

I am displaying the y/n pop up while using a dropdown menu but pretty much all the solutions i have seen so far use button's onClick event.

I am able to see the pop up box with the yes/no options but after i click a 'yes' or 'no', i don't see 'You clicked Yes' or 'You clicked No'.
This is the code i have so far which has been taken from Muddassar's article that uses a button, not a drop down.
I can see for button the "Confirm()" is being called by OnClientClick event, but i haven't been able to make it to work in a dropdown.

On the development server I have it working fine, on the live server it checks to see if the file exists and fails (correctly) if it doesn't, but does not load the Dialog Box to save/open/cancel if it does exist. Any ideas ? There are no events logged, the code is as follows and by the way I have tried various combos of WriteFile/TransmitFile as per other forum posts - many combos seem to work on development machine(!!) but fail on live...

<a href='http://domain/webservice.asmx/command'>Command</a>
and when users hit that button it works but they're just shown an xml page. The function will either work or not so I was wondering if it'd be possible to just have a pop up box appear to tell them if it worked or not after they clicked it rather than redirecting them to an xml page.
I'd prefer to not have to use jQuery or another javascript library.
If that's not possible, is there any way to dress up the XML page? Currently it says 'This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.' at the top.
Also, the domain that the webservice is on is different to the domain that the website that's call the webservice is on. Not sure if that matters.

I have one page which contains 3 panels and 3 buttons. Each panel connects one button. When one button clicks, the relative panel appears and other panels are divisible. For each panel, I design a textbox, a merge button and a gridview. When user input information into the textbox, the gridview shows the detail data from the database and two checkboxes. The next step, user uses checkboxes to choose two different rows of data and click the merge button. I need to show a confirmation message based on the selection user made i.e. Are you you want to merge A to B.
write the code to show the confirmation message which is works perfectly in Page_Load() method. But the problem is the page contains 3 panels. Do I need to write code for each panel to show the confirmation message and put 3 sets of the code in Page_Load?

I am Converting one Windows application to Web Application . In between any of the PostBack events I need lot of confirmation boxes and message boxes how it works in VB.net Windows Application. There are so many msg and Confirmation boxes are there but I can not replace them with javascript promptboxes, because they will execute after the server side code is completed and they cannot stop the server side code execution in between when the confirm, and continue to execute the code after pressing yes button.

Stepping through the code using debug/breakpoints shows that the code is running the cycle but the end result of the form is just blank fields.
