Nov 29, 2010Am stuck up with a task to display tweets from a particular user in website's home page.The website uses a web service which inturn uses Twitter APi to fetch tweets.The thing is Twitter Api returns tweets in a page containing tweets, posted over a week.
results per page is sent as a parameter. But for one request call the web service can return only one page which contains tweets for a period of one week.
But i want to fetch tweets posted over last three months.

I have been asked to setup RSS Fed capability on the web site I am designing. I guess that we want to notify folks when articles or content changes on the site. I have posted in beginners since I am new to using RSS feeds.
1. How can I allow visitors to my site to "sign up" for RSS feeds?
2. How can I generate a "feed" programmatically so that it is sent to those who signed up for RSS feeds?

Dec 19, 2010I would like to display images from an xml file containing the url of traffic cameras in Tennessee. The xml file is located at: http://ww2.tdot.state.tn.us/tsw/GeoRSS/TDOTCameraGeorss.xmlI can get the images to display in a datagrid, however, I would like to display them all on the same page (not one per row/cell). Here is what I am trying to get it to look like (just a series of img objects):http://www.vanderbilt.edu/vector/traffic/nashvillecams.htmIs there a way to create an image for each row received in the data table? Eventually, I want this to filter based on city...and each city has a different number of cameras, so hardcoding the images in the page isn't an option. I am hoping there is an efficient way to create the images on the fly and bind the url from the xml to each image.Here is some code that works when 3 images are hard-coded:

Sep 29, 2010How does Google custom search results posts data to partner site technically? We have requirement to place our form on our partner sites and display results too.
1) Google custom search box is simple javascript and posts form to google.com. But ours will have to fetch html from our servers cause it's not a simple text box, would need some ajax.
2) How do we then display the results on partner website?
Concept is same like Google custom search. I am just wondering how do we do it in ASP.NET?

I've added this account to the permissions in the links listed in the below link, but i don't have success when trying to push remotely. Oct 30, 2010When I return a ContentResult that is ContentType="text/xml" I get an error in the browser - Internet Explorer cannot display this feed.What would be in the XML that is triggering IE to think it is a feed, and how do I tell IE to not think such things?When I set Content to contain only the first, 2nd and last line of the XML stream, it renders correctly as XML.Here is my code:

Configuration :: Website Within A Website Won't Display On Host's Server?
Feb 19, 2011I'm trying to run a website (site2) that I've placed inside a folder (dir-site2) of another website (site1). The default file of site2 displays fine in every browser on my local computer, as in when I type http://localhost:45912/www.site1.com/dir-site2/default.aspx. But when I upload everything to my host's server and type this
http://www.site1.com/dir-site2/default.aspx I get a server "can't access" error message. I can't display any file that is inside the subdirectory, dir-site2.

Sep 23, 2010I'm using various tutorials to create an RSS Feed in asp.net. Most of these examples are in C, but have converted to vb.net without errors, except that the data is not showing when i run the page in which the feed is on, i am just given a blank white page:
My database table is called
News_Items and contains:
ID - Int
Title - nvarchar(50)
News - ntext
PostDate - datetime
This table holes 6 records currently. My code is as follows (These files are shown in their entirity):

Jun 22, 2010I am trying to get an RSS feed on my website from a MySQL database (using VB.Net). I've been using [URL] as a starting pioint.
So far I have:
rss.aspx......
[Code]....
rss.aspx.vb.....
[Code]....
My problem is that it displays a completely blank page! No error, no text, nothing. I've tried just using the code to create a static XML file (without connecting to the database) and it still doesn't work.
Is there something that I am doing wrong or should i do it in a completely different way?
