Web Forms :: Display / Post Data On Partner Websites Like Google Custom Search?

How does Google custom search results posts data to partner site technically? We have requirement to place our form on our partner sites and display results too.
1) Google custom search box is simple javascript and posts form to google.com. But ours will have to fetch html from our servers cause it's not a simple text box, would need some ajax.
2) How do we then display the results on partner website?
Concept is same like Google custom search. I am just wondering how do we do it in ASP.NET?

i want to add a search facility to my website. I have many lengthy html files that should be searched. The question is should i insert the text of the html files in a table of my database and search the database or should i search the html files one by one reading them from the disk. Should the search be database based or should i open each file, read it and search it this way using for example regular expressions. What is the usual and best approach?

I have been asked to build an ASP.Net website that has a custom search, when the page is loaded it displays a gridview with a list of data, then when a button is pressed it takes the value from the text box and runs a stored procedure using the value, the gridview then databinds successfully displaying the new data. But the select button does not take the rows data it takes the data from the row corresponding to the data when the page is loaded, not from the search button.

I have a textbox and what I would like to implement is basically a situation similar to what you have in google when you type in a word. In otherwords,
in the textbox when you type in J, it should generate a list of names that starts with O in alphabetical order, then next when you type in o, so that now you have Jo, it should generate a list of names instead that now starts with Jo in alphabetical order, then again when you type in h, it should generate a list of names that starts with Joh and so on.
1) The web application I'm building is a person enters information and the categories are selected by using checkboxes. The input page I have checkboxlist and it enters correctly has a one line to the database. For example, when they check one of the following Red, Blue, Orange and brown, they appear as one line in the database. When they do a search on the individual I need the checkboxes to return that they were selected when it returns information from the database so they update the information or deselect a color or something. Do I need a autopostback on the checkboxlist?
2) Is it possible to have a search page base on checkboxes. For example, the user checks red, and blue. Clicks on the search button. On a gridview every person who checked red and blue when they first entered information will appear in the gridview. Do I need a checkbox result table with a bit field?
I'm not sure which way I should go with this. Just asking for a direction in how I can do this.
I have two tables. 1st contain topic and its id. 2nd contain topic name,its category and category list.

Also, i have tried displaying only Category 1, 2 .. which are Link button. When I click these button it shows category list. So here I am facing aproblem that everytime i click these buttons it refreshes my page which is very annoying.

I have two tables: Book and author and they have one to many relation.One book may have more than one authors. Book table has Title column and Author table has AuthorName Column.
I have search page contains two textboxes: Title Textbox and AuthorName textbox to search the record.

I wanted to a window to pop up when the user clicks on an image. In the pop window, i want to display a text box to search and a button to submit the search. Also on the same pop up, i want to use a radiobutton list to give the option of choosing to search by first name or last name.on searching, i want to display a list of employee names matching the search and give a radio button next to each of them to select the record. On selection, the user will click an OK button below the records. I'm creating a custom ASP.Net GridView and I want to be able to alter the __EVENTARGUMENT value but I can't figure out how to capture the returned value on the server side.
I'm creating the ability to have a collapsible representation, so the first level is the standard GridView and I will insert additional rows via JavaScript if they expand the first level row.
My problem is how to create a link on the selecond level rows that posts back with custom data.
