I have a screen that has a telerik rad grid on it, and I allow the users to export the grid to an excel spreedsheet from a button click. When you press the Export to Excel button you get the File Download popup. Do you want to open or save this file? with the Open, Save, Cancel buttons. If the user hits open or Save I want to run caode, but if they press cancel I don't want to do any updates.

Now the problem is, when I click on submit on this page, I am unable to get the selected radio button. i.e., Suppose if I select 1st sub radio button and click on submit. I am checking in the code for sub radio button selection, I am getting no radio buttons are selected. The above condition is for first time only. Now go to another page and traverse to the page again, I am successful, i.e., I am getting the selections properly.

Each link has a javascript to identify the radio button group and if click on link button, JS clears up the selection from radio button. My issue is, that i only need this to display when my datalist is displayed and has records.. every time else, it needs to be hidden ( Visible = false ) on page_load i have it set to
btnAddVideo.Visible = false;
btnAddVidCart.Visible = false;
Should i only be check then within my dropdown event? By default the page is displaying my datalist, so it should be hidden.. then you have a dropdown to make a selection, if you change it, then it should show ONLY if there are records to be displayed.

How do you save a radio button selection to a DB (within the .aspx page)? I have 5 sets of "yes/no" radio buttons (1 for yes/ 1 for no). Do I just add each radio button as a field into the DB and if its not selected, leave it NULL (or whatever the default value is)... this does seem very efficient.

When the selection of the radio buttons change I would like to show/hide the panel in the next table cell. I have it hiding and showing fine but each time it causes the page to refresh to the top. Is their a way to stop that refresh? I would like to hide and show the panel dynamically.

I am using ASP.NET 2.0 with C#(No AJAX) in my project. In a particular web page, when the a button is clicked, some server intensive processing occurs before the same page is displayed again with the results. While code execution happens on the server in response to Button_Click event, a blank white page is shown to user on his browser in between post backs.
How do i show a message in this case, that the processing is still going on and ask the user to wait.
I have used javascript to show a message on page unload. But this message is also erased when the page is posted back to the server and the user sees a blank white page on his browser. How do i avoid this white page? Is there a way to show a message in the blank white page ?

I have an "articles" page that holds a radiobutton list and a textarea. when the user selects a radio button, the text area is populated. now the users wants to be able to point to an article via a url link. (everything is dynamic and being pulled from a db source)
by using a 3 party tool i was able to grab the exact http request (below) that will link to the users' selection. the problem is the url is extremely long. is there another way to link to the radio button selection? that way i can just modify the query string to fit a specific format.
