How to call button event on browser close event? is it possible?
i have a button placed on my master page and when user try to close the browser window, i want to invoke this button event placed on my master page...

When a user directly closes the browser, we should give him an alert message and stop him by directly closing the window based on some conditions. This we have handled through body onunload event. The problem is we are getting the alert message but after showing the alert message the window gets closed.
Is there any way to stop closing the window on click of browser close event?
And also when the page is refreshed, the last performed action is getting fired again.

StartUpload() => To start the file upload,
StopUpload() => To stop the file upload if running,
CheckFileStatus() => to check the status of the file upload.
The page has aspx Submit button with onclientclick event and ocClick event.

I have a very common problem with asp.net . I have designed a webpage that performs some action on its load event but whenever a user clicks on back button those actions are not performed as Page_Load event is not called.I have searched a lot of forums but wasn't able to get a exact answer. All I was able to know that it was happening due to cache memory maintained by browsers. I don't want to delete that cache. I want browser to work in normal way.

Functionality works fine when entering a value in the textbox, tabbing out of the textbox and clicking on the save button. But issue comes up when entering a value in the textbox and directly clicking on the save button without tabbing out of the text box. In the second scenario, only textchanged event fires and save click event dosen't fire. What I was expecting was after exection of textchanged event, save click event should also fire. But this is not happening.

View 1 RepliesI have one Button (Refresh Button), One ComboBox (containing DEV and UAT as its items) and a GridView on my asp page.
I am filling up my Grid with values from database on the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event and Buttons's 'Click' event.
First time when page is loaded, there is no information in the grid, but when i choose DEV/UAT from the ComboBox 'TextChanged' event is fired, the grid is filled with the relevant data. That is what i want.
When i click the Refresh Button to refresh the data again, first comboBox's 'TextChanged' event and then 'btn_Click' event is fired.
I want then when a button id pressed only 'Click' event to be fired and not the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event.
"how to disable browser close button" ,i am handling close button functionality with another button ?
