I am trying to create a HTML style Q/A survey with a radiobtnlist 1-5 as answer. My problem is I can create a webform and use datalist or gridview but it does not have the formated look I want.Is there an easy way (for a novice ASP'er) to create a HTML form using text boxes Comment field and radiobtnlist, gather input from a memberuser and then pass to a SQL table??I have been all over the web, bought & read many books but they all talk gridview and datalist.
i have some survey in my site with 5 radiobuttonlist answers after user vote the answer send to sql table. i want to display the votes in very simple way (horizontal 5 lines by percents) can any one direct me to solution or article? please i need the most simple solution (no colors, no pie no complex graphs) just 5 lines (line for each answer) that long or short by percents......
I wondered how the more experienced .netters out there would go about creating something whereby users could create online surveys? I can't get my head around it at the moment as I have my survey object but need to store different object types of questions within it. Also does anyone think that creating some custom controls could be the way to go? (survey question controls)
I would love to create a search field on my master page that returns a page full of results.
It seems simple to me. I need it to search each of my tabels. aka(Customers, Loan Information, Real Estate, Vehicles) I want a repeater or datalist of sometype that hyperlinks to a details view page for each of the tables(easy to do).
I don't know the best way to tackle this. It is a local intranet application so I was thinking about possibly just passing the words or numbers in the textbox to a query string then running a sql command for each of the tables and returning data in a datalist for each table?
Would that work or is there a simple way to do this? It would be nice for it to highlight the match? What should my sql commands look like?
Using the Razor engine how do I create Partial Views. Do I create a normal View and calling the PartialView() in the controller will only output the body content and when calling View() in the controller will output the full page with layout. If not, do I need to create specific Partial Views and then use RenderPartial in the View.
I have been assigned the task to create a rules engine with another programmer for a company. They want it totally dynamic (parameterized sql type dynamic, no inline or any wishy washy coding practices). So I have ended up with no idea what to really aim at since this is the first time for this type of project. I am hoping someone has some ideas if they have experience this before. I am thinking of going in this direction.
I am planning to build an ASP.NET survey platform, that would also provide a scripting interface. I was wondering if there is an existing framework or open source platform to give a jump start.
i want to implement a sort of feedback form/survey form in asp.net which is linked to a database. i want to create a asp.net application which will take questions from a database then display them on the form. once the user has finished the survey the results will be stored into the database.
I want to develope an online survey with multiple pages. Also needs to keep track of all questions, answers and inputs. What is the best way of doing this?Survey contain multiple choices, comments entry etc...
I have a share point survey. When we responding to the survey, as we know, it will open NewForm.aspx. this page contains a ListFormWebpart in which questions from survey list will be displayed. Now, i need to add few labels before the questions and these label values should be prepopulated from query string. What i am trying to achieve from this is, i wll created a link with some values in query string and send to specific users. different users might have different values in query string. Whenever they click on the link, it should open the survey with prepopulated label values along with questions in list.
I am not sure, how to do it. I have tried to add some html control to web part(using share point designer) and through JavaScript i have tried to set query string values. Then i tried to put asp controls and trued. it didn't work. I am trying since last 2 days. No progress. I am using SharePoint 2003, WSS2.0
I have VSExpress 2012 and am creating a WebForm survey app.
I have two pages - the start page (StimEntry.aspx) and the survey page (SurveyPage.aspx)
I have a "Begin Survey" button on the StimEntry page, but am not sure how to switch the user to the survey page when they click that button. Desktop app tutorials use PAGE.show, but that doesn't work here, and I'm assuming that's because I am working in a web form, but am not sure about that.
I'm in the process of re-writing an existing survey application that is currently using nested repeater controls to display questions and answers. The application was not designed with future enhancements in mind and its a pain any time a new question has to be added to the application. The repeaters currently contain questions, answers, and controls(texbox, radiobuttonlist, etc.)
Is the repeater the correct control to use for this type of application? What is the best way to design this type of application and table structure? Are there any new controls or features in VS2010? How to design this application the correct way and make it more flexible?
I want to build a survey system where you can build a form with questions and some answers to these questions and then members who will log in will be able to take the test.
Then i want to present the different results from the test in some diagram or something like that.
in my project i would like to save pdf files in database, how to save pdf files in database ? along with that i would like to create create a search page to search for pdf files with PDF file names , how to accoplish these things
I've add MSChart to a webpage and I'm also using a Survey page I got from 4GuysFromRolla (http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/061604-1.aspx). Both work on my development machine but when I move them to my hosting site there are issues.
With MSChart page the chart is not displayed although it's included the Page Source code: src="/ClubInformationTracking/ChartImg.axd?i=chart_3d90c53b0f844807a2491a1d79a636a1_0.png&g=75fecf0f14cf4121b623691d383263aa" alt="" style="height:300px;width:700px;border-width:0px;" />
And when I try to open the Survey page I get this:Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'sstchur.web.survey' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Assembly Load Trace: The following information can be helpful to determine why the assembly 'sstchur.web.survey' could not be loaded.
WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftFusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftFusion!EnableLog].
The Hosting site is using Version 4.0 and the dll needed for the survey is in the BIN directory.
When I moved my files to the hosting site I had to change every instance when I referred to a file from: "~/FileName" To "FileName"
I've tried all of the "fixes" I could find for the MSChart that involved changes to the web.config file but because of the error messages associated with the Survey page I'm guessing this is the issue.
I had gone thru many discussions re: search engine & didn't get the answer to what i intend to design. I intend to put the search textbox & button to the masterpage so that whatever page the user is within the website, he/she can do the search.
I've been following the example (SearchDotNet) in the developerfusion but I just can't figure how I'll make it to redirect to the searchsite from the page the user triggers the search. Do I put the codes in the masterpage?
how to embed a search engine into all asp.net page? i want to add a search engine which allow user to input key words then display some title which has the keywords.
I am developing a website in asp.net using c#.net, here in my website there is registration option, so if any user who wanted to register with my site needs to fill the registration form and clicks on submit button. After that he needs to login right. After login i need to give them an option to send invitation to their friends contact mails, these mail addresses may be from their gmail or yahoomail whatever mail engine they want, i need to ask them to enter his mail address(from where they want to import all contacts) and password, as soon as he enters the info, a list of mail addresses each one preceding a check box should get displayed in my asp.net page where they logged-in so that he can select desired mail addresses from the list and send an invitation to those selected mails. Above all check boxes i need a check box when he clicks on it all the mails in the populated list must be selected and should un-check all if he un-checks that topmost checkbox.
For a clear understanding here i am giving a site [URL], register with it if you have time, i gave it to just make it more clear for what functionality i have been looking for.
i have a page with some simple search engine, this is how it looks, here is a TextBox with a Button and a Gridview with a SqlDatasource Control the Sql Code of the SqlDatasource Control is like this.
[Code]....
Well the sql is not the actual sql code but thats technically how it looks like. What i hope to make is when the user types a string in the Textbox, the user can Comma sepate the information so that the search engine will try to look for each information at the same time.
