Web Forms :: How To Not Let User To Open Page Directly
Dec 24, 2010
I have a page with RadioButtonList and DropDownList. User Selects Item from DropDownList and RadioButtonItem and clicks a button, it opens a corresponding new page with some data related to Items selected.
[URL]
It works fine. What I want is not to let user open this page directly, only by selecting items and clicking button on main page.
I am doin a project in asp.net 3.5 and sql server 2005. In my project it need a condition where i click a button and a .pdf page is directly open where the .pdf document are stored in server.
I can do the things but it show a opening box seeking open/save option.
I just want to open directly the .pdf page on clicking the button.

So I am using a simple GridView control to display a table containing Sender_ID, Subject(hyperlink), date . When the user clicks on the subject hyperlink, another page with the Body should open. This page should also contain a Back button for navigation.
I want to open a native SharePoint 2010 page from my application (for example the Edit Properties page of a document) without the need to enter username/password, but instead to authenticate silently (prior or during the page request). is that possible? In other words, i have a windows forms application, i enter a sharepoint document path and i click on a button, this will open up a windows form with a browser control that will navigate to the native "editform.aspx" sharepoint 2010 page for this document.
I've got a Dictionary<string, string> object I'm creating:-
[Code]....
and I wanted to bind this to a dropdownlist. I know this is possible in code-behind, but is it possible to do this directly on the asp: control, something like
I have an asp.net page that contains an Iframe embedded with some data and a ImageButton. On ImageButton click event (server side) I have Response.Redirct:
Response.Redirect("results.aspx");
This always open the results.aspx in iframe. I want that results.aspx should always open in the parent window. I tried the following till now but none worked:
Response.Redirect("<script language='javascript'>self.parent.location='results.aspx';</script>"); Response.Redirect("javascript:parent.change_parent_url('results.aspx');"); ..and also tried the options from [URL]
The master page has a content place holder (ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent")
I have a default page (default.aspx) with a VB code behind which pulls some data.
What I'd like to be able to do is write my data to that place holder for example:
<b>theData</b>
This is a simplified example of what I'll be doing but the part I can't figure out is how to write the content directly to the place holder on the master page from the code behind of the default the page.
A friend of mine gave me this task so I can learn advance programming a little bit easier. I am currently doing convertion of an html page to pdf using itext sharp and email the pdf as an attachement. My idea is to save the pdf first to the server machine in the folder name ToBeEmailedPDF folder before using it as an email attachment. The thing that bothers me is that this dialog as what you can see in the picture shows up using the code that I have below.
When the user clicks on "OPEN" button, It should open up that(.txt) file which is on the file server in ReadWrite Mode (like in notepad) without any Access Issues.
Or simply has to be openend as temporary READONLY .Txt File. So that the user can close after viewing it.
How can i directly access a .cshtml file in ASP.NET MVC using razor view engine?
For example i have this url: localhost/Home/About. This will load the about site inside the "master" page.
I want to load the about page without also loading the master page. So i was thinking that i could use this url: localhost/Home/About.cshtml. But it's not working.
How can i load a view page without loading the master page?
I am using VSTS 2008 + C# + .Net 3.5 + Silverlight 3.0 + ASP.Net to develop a Silverlight application (a video media player) in browser and the function is simple, just use MediaElement to play a remote video file. The remote server is Windows Server 2008 + IIS 7.0 + IIS Media Bit Rate Throttling Control.Since the request media URL can be discovered (e.g. from traffic sniffer), and I want to know how to prevent from download directly from the Url? i.e. I want end user to use my Silverlight media player application in browser to play the file, prevent them from download to local directly. Any easy and quick solution or reference code/documents?
I have a form that works just fine, problem is that if user leave form open for more than 20 30 min and then click a button on that form the browsers status line shows "Error in page", user then must refresh the page in order for the page function.
My UI layer calls my business layer which populates a DTO. I need to display properties from the DTO on my ASPX page. Should I create public variables on the code behind page for each of the DTO properties and reference like <%=PublicPropertyName%> OR is it ok to set the DTO instance to public and reference the properties directly like <%=dtoInstance.propertyName%>
Additionally, would it be better if I just created Literal and Label controls for every item on the ASPX page and just populate them from the code behind only?
<authentication mode="Forms"> <forms loginUrl="Login" defaultUrl="DailyLog" timeout="2880" cookieless="UseCookies" /> </authentication> when i browse my application through local host , it shows Login screen , also validating the credentials , but without entering any credentials if i change my Url at login page from :
http://localhost:49702/Login
to
http://localhost:49702/DailyLog
it goes to DailyLog without confirming the login ...
in Login Screen on Submit button Click event i have done this :
In parent page there is an imagebutton. What I want to when user click this image button, another page will open with width=200 and height=100 with no toolbar.
