I have an unknown number of image buttons inserted into a Placeholder at runtime during a webpage's Init stage. I would like to use a single event handler routine in C# language to determine which control was clicked and process any one of them differently. How do you create an event handler to process whichever image button that is clicked?
View 2 RepliesI want to dynamically build a table where each of the first three cells may or may not contain an image. If a cell contains an image, it may or may not contain a radio button. The last cell contains a button or link button. I want all the buttons to be handled by the same click event. The number of rows, which cells will have an image, and which cells will have a radio button is not known at design time. Finally, the images are displayed using the better image control.
I'm trying to get this to work usinging a repeater, but at the moment I can't get the radio button checked propety to change from the default value. I'm using an arraylist as a datasource. I thought of using a gridview, but I don't know how to add a radio button and a better image control to a cell.
the form has 15 items to choose with radio buttons, any number can be selected. I would like to process them as a 'group' so I can do something like loop thru them, checking if each one has been selected to build a list and also be saving them to a table row, etc but it seems all the designations as a list or group make it mutually exclusive. just looking for better coding than checking them with an if statement or similar so the question is if there is some way to designate the radio buttons as a group but no force the group to be mutually exclusive

In a single time one radio button only can be checked the rest two would be unchecked

i have created a user control with these three things. On my aspx page on click of a button i need to add this user control. I am trying to learn C# web programming. I am trying stuck and am unable to proceed for 2 days.I have a simple table with three columns (ISBN, Book Name and Delete).The column has a delete button. When the delete button is clicked, the book is removed from the session. The books are stored as objects within the session.The trouble I am having is when a user clicks on the "Delete" button, how do I pass the ISBN value to the onclick method. I've a Username and Password TextBoxes, and more than one ImageButton in the page, so while I type the password, press enter, it presses another ImageButton than the Login ImageButton in my page.
How can I choose which ImageButton function to fire when pressing Enter while in the Password TextBox?
Im using 3 image buttons on a web page, and the buttons, (its either one or two) , will not load when i run it. and i have to close the browser and run it again. theres a 50-50 chance that the buttons will actually appear. Any idea what's causing this to happen? The pictures are in png format. and i saw from this website that I should change "Causes Validation" to false? What does it mean? I have 2 columns (name and address) in a gridview which are defined as linked buttons. Now when i click on a record in the first row (name) i am able to pass that value (selected name) to another page with rowcommand. Now i am trying to click on the second row (address) on a record but am not able to pass that value to the second page. Don't actually know how to define this in the code below. The first row (name) has to redirect to one page (this what i have already accomplished) and the second row (address) has to redirect to another page

Web server running an ASP.NET site that's connected to a sql server instance for all the web related DB needs (products, pricing, users, etc.)...
The companies accounting, inventory control(FIFO, etc.) and whatnot are mainly done on another system which uses a different SQL server...much more complex, for obvious reasons.
What I Need
What I need is to retrieve the current quantity on hand for every product that's on the web by connecting to the internal accounting sql server, even though the website uses a different sql server for it's own requirements.
The reason I can't have the information that is required to calculate the quantity on hand for every product on the web to be on the same sql server is because there are way too many tables that are needed to calculated that information...what's on purchase order, what's on sales order, and the physical inventory.
What is the best way to accomplish this without altering either database?

I have a page with two sections on it - One is a new member registration section the other is the member login section. I am having an issue with AJAX validation running on the registration form when someone tries to login for example.
Is there a way to assign validation to certain areas of a page so if someone clicks the "CREATE MY FREE ACCOUNT" button if validates the appropriate fields only... instead of trying to validate when someone is attempting to login?
Both areas use validation btw.... the login section has required field validators.

I have a search textbox and two image buttons on a page I created with ASP.NET.
When I look at the page with either IE8, Google Chrome or Opera, the textbox does not align with the two image buttons. The buttons appear higher than the textbox and I can't tell why.

NOTE: I realize there are a few strange things here such as no quotes around the ids. But there ARE quotes around them in my source. The above snippet is from saving the content from IE and it made a number of changes to the markup.
