How programmatically create, update and delete site-map nodes?
I use ASP.NET (VB.NET), Visual Studio 2010.
I try create own simple CMS for little site.
I need in admin area create, delete and update site-map nodes (and aspx pages with static text)
I just want to be able to create a site that will allow users to insert/update/delete information from the site and the information will be recorded on the SQL DB.
Went through couple of Videos and Tutorials, it can't be that complicated?

I'm trying to create an <asp:Menu> bound to an <asp:SiteMapDataSource>. I have everything implemented but I'm receiving an error stating: "Multiple nodes with the same URL '/Members/LandingPage.aspx' were found. XmlSiteMapProvider requires that sitemap nodes have unique URLs.". Can anyone point me in the right direction to solving this error? The menu structure that I'm trying to create and the Web.sitemap that I'm using are shown below.

View 2 RepliesI have a code that load hierarchy( nodes) into trew view.. by selecting different date, the hierarchy result from SP will show in the treeview..
the problem is even though I select a different date.. the result( node) of previous date is still showing in addition to the new hierarchy result...
it;s like the new result node is appended to existing node.. instead of refreshing the node and showing only the new result. How can I clear out the treeview nodes before adding new nodes from different date?

I manage a library website, and there are a number of different database products that can be searched. I'm trying to build a black box application to sit behind the home page. Here's an example of what might get submitted to said application.

See, the idea is that I might be doing various search boxes throughout the site, and I want to keep the actual HTML forms as simple as possible and simply let an ASP.Net application do the rest of the work. For example, figuring out whether or not the search engine using a GET or a POST method, parsing the keywords to determine the best way to render them, and sending the appropriate hidden values.
Probably, most of these databases use GET, so I can simply use a Response.Redirect after creating the query string, but I think some of them might use a POST, and I'm just not certain how I would take the form variables from one page (the home page, say), then essentially turn them into a virtual form on this middle man/black box application, and then programmatically submit that virtual form to another site, such that the user never sees or knows about that intermediate page.

I've a listview in which i'm binding data from objectdata source. I have a requirement where i've to allow edit/delete for only certail listviewitem which meets specific requirement. I am currently working on a signup sheet for new students. For each new student, we want add their schedule; therefore, I have a drop down list that displays the teachers which update another drop down list that displays the selection of the class the teacher teaches. The problem is that a student may have one or more classes, depending if they are in lower school or in upper school. The question is, how do add another row to the table and make sure it does not disappear when I select a teacher. Using jQuery, I successfully add the row with two new drop down list, but as soon as I select any of the teacher, the update panel refreshes and the new row disappears...

I need to execute a stored procedure which is a simple delete (record) query. Programmaticaly, I want to pass in a parameter "ID1".
Assume I will pass in the ID1 parameter on a delete link click event froma GridView control. What would the code be to execute the existing stored procedure?
