In my Code Behind in test method I am trying to set the checked to true, but in the ApplicantFormBound event when i debug it is never true...any reasons why? Basically I want to set the Validator to true when checked.

Bear in mind that I can't use any clientside code such as javascript postback that is wired into the <asp:CheckBox /> control.

What I need the form to do, for purposes of ease of use and data integrity, I have a list of service providers that, when a visitor has subscribed to service from say, Sprint, in order for us to proceed with our business practice, we would need their Sprint PIN account. So when they check 'Sprint', a label that says Enter Sprint PIN: and a text box should appear.
Of that label and text box control, on the properties pane, i set the visible property to false, then erased that, and put it in the page load section of the C# code and erased it, since neither scenario worked. This is the current code I have, and either they appear, or are invisible, and when the check box is clicked, nothing happens...

Mar 15, 2010I have a treeview in my .aspx: <asp:TreeView ID="tvDocCatAndType" runat="server" /> Not much else going on in the page -- two <asp:LinkButtons> and one <asp:Label>; the page is a child of a master page, so these controls are within a <asp:Content> control. I populate the treeview in code -- just 3 node levels, including the root node. All nodes have checkboxes, and I initialize all node.Checked to true. I have some Javascript to do the usual check/uncheck up and down the tree as parent and child node checkboxes are toggled.
No matter how many checkboxes I clear in the UI, on postback every single node has node.Checked = true regardless of the state of the checkbox in the UI. This is not the first time I've used a treeview, but I've never had this problem before. I created this page by light adaptation of an earlier project that works fine.

The problem is:When i uncheck a row and then press the save button , all the rows are getting saved.
I checked with debugger that actually i see the checkboxes unchecked , but the debugger shows them checked.

Dec 9, 2010I have a table with 100 cells in it (10x10)
In each cell there is a checkbox. On page load, each checkbox is checked depending on records 0-99 from a database. This works fine.
However, I want to be able to update those 100 records in the database by checking or unchecking the checkboxes.
The update process works ok as I have debugged it, but the problem seems to be that if I check a checkbox, that value (true or false) doesn't get passed to the event handler.
This is the button click event handler that I'm running right now to see if the value is being recognised:

If I tick checkbox zero and click the button, it still comes up as false. What I want to happen is that the DB is updated and when the page loads, the checkboxes are repopulated with the new values from the database.

Aug 18, 2010I have a DropDownList for suppliers; suppliers can be active, or inactive. I have a checkbox to toggle between all suppliers, or just active suppliers.
My front code is:

BindDDL() also gets called in page load. The checkbox is unchecked by default, so when I first navigate to the page, only the active suppliers will be selected. When I click the checkbox, the page post posts back, but doesn't change the data in the DropDownList (still only active suppliers).
I've run through the debugger and it's hitting the right if statement, just not updating, and I don't know why. I've tried a Show all/active dropdownlist and event handlers, and neither do what I want them to do. How do I fix this?
