View 5 RepliesI have a fileUplaoder control on my form, The file has been uploaded when the user click the button. I wanted to associate a Custom Validator (Or some other validator), that will check
1. File Type (To exclude .exe etc)
2. File size (To restrict user not to upload a file >5MB)
If the above 02 conditions are violated it will stop the user to submit the form and will show the appropriate error messages on the validation summary. (Like the file is larger then the allower size etc etc)
I wanted to use validation summary for this purpose as I am already displaying all validation messages for all controls on the validation summary

View 1 RepliesI am building an application that allows a user to upload multiple images, resizes them, and saves them. What I need (ok, what I'd like) is the following...
I would like some sort of way to prompt a user to crop the photos after they have been saved. I have code that creates a 175px square rectangle and saves that image. I need the user to select the image section they want saved and to do so I envision a window that automatically prompts them to do so once the upload(s) have completed. I think my preference would be to have a page or control (datalist, repeater, ectc..) that refreshes every time an image is saved and allows the user to crop the newly saved images. I'm opened to advice, opinions, free drinks and a clue.

View 3 RepliesI am building an MVC application with C# as my language which is hosted on Widows 7 IIS. A call to Add a new member to the database works, but when attempting to save the change I get the following error:
Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOLmyApplication'
The SQL table was added just by adding it within VS.
I just set up user profiles using asp.net 3.5 using wvd. For each user I would like to store data that they will be updating every day. For example, every time they go for a run they will update time and distance. I intend to allow them to also look up their history of distance and time from any past date. My question is, what does the database schema usually look like for such a set up? Currently asp.net set up a db for me when I made user profiles. Do I just add an extra table for every user? Should there be one big table with all users data? How do I relate a user I'd to their specific data? Etc.

View 1 RepliesMerging huge CSS files is huge pain,
I tried some of the tools but they end up merging line by line rather than on the basis or CSS rules.
Now i thought i should right one good program to do following,
1. read CSS file convert in XML
2. sort it on the basis of CSS rule
Now write one more program to consume 3 XML files find different classes and merge the files nicely based on CSS rules.
How ever that turned out to be good amount of work and i hope there must be someone who must have faced this problem before me and solved it clean way.
I would to know the tool for this however i would also love to know how to design/code for this kind of tool? Am i thinking on right track ?
