Web Forms :: Inline Edition With Waterfall DropDownlist?

I am new to inline editing. I need to be able to create a row in which one ddl waterfalls off of another.
I have the first ddl populated with its proper data. How do I fire off the event for the first ddl to populate the vaules that pertain the items in the first dropdown list.I tried the following but got a Requires withEvents variable:

Both visual studio 2008 express edition and visual studio professional setup's are install in my system, i like to uninstall visual studio 2008 express edition, and use professional edition. is there any problem arises in visual studio professional edition, if i uninstall visual studio 2008 exp edition
I have a aspx page where I am pulling data back through stored procedures and displaying them in a label field, but can not get the data to display in the dropdownlist.
The ddlEditGridLocation the field I am having trouble with. It is dependant on the value of a the ddlDataCenter field.

I am about to get my sites hosted with a local host company. They are offering me their lowest cost MSSQL server, which is the web edition. So my question is what is the difference between that and 2008 express edition? Can express edition be used for a full fledge in production website? And does Web implies that I will be interacting with it via the web correct. Lastly, if the web version is not chosen what is the typical protocol for uploading and maintaining a site when you have a dedicated server. Do you normally have to go to the data center or is there like a web portal that can be used. I will be asking the guys at the company these questions as well, but I want to make sure I get another opinion on the issue.
Is in-line editing possible on a webpart??I would like to enable a user to directly edit text within a webpart, without a postback and without launching its editor.Can someone show me how this would be done? How would I save the content using a callback?
ASP.NET Buttons are not firing OnClink() events if it is placed in content page. There is no problem for master page buttons. This problem I am facing only in windows xp home edition.
I'm not sure about the PostBackUrl property of the btnSubmit button. When I run the page, I got this error:

I've just replaced Telerik controls in a small web project with DevExpress controls, but now, despite my adding an inline display div as container, these controls are no longer rendered inline. What could have caused this, and what can I do to get these errant controls back inline?
I tried to assign the value of button text through the following syntax where MyValue is the public variable with the value "Checkout" in the code behind.

But it turned out that it displayed <%=MyValue%> instead of "Checkout". Yes of course I can still assign button text value in the code behind but just don't know if there is any other solutions to it.

I have a datalist which acts like a table and displays certain values. I'm trying to display a boolean value as yes or no as opposed to true or false. This is what my current line looks like, is there any way to use an inline If statement to get this to work?

I have been at this for two weeks now without any success but I know I have to get a solution to move forward with my design. Is there any way to bind data from a SQLDataSource to a Hiddenfield or Textbox WITHOUT binding via the data controls like gridview, formview, datalist, etc. I do not want to use any of those controls. I need to do inline binding. Please provide the working code example. The hiddenfield or textbox would be named eid. The SQLDataSource name is GetDataEid. I have a gridview that contains about 35 rows. a user has to scroll down the page to view the rows. when a user click edit. the row goes to edit mode, however, the page goes up to row 1, I need to keep the row visible to the user upon clicking the edit mode. how can I apply such a thing.
I'm trying to add inline insert capability to a gridview, but I'm having a problem getting it to work. I'm getting the error below even though when I look at it in debug the value newuser.text shows to be the value I entered in the textbox on the gridview.
I am displaying a money values in a gridview. Is possible to use inline code to set the decimal places to two? Would like to do it inline instead of in the C# code behind if possible. Database table column [Rate] is datatype money.
Using a gridview with paging, sorting, inline editing, and selection enabled. I noticed the following:1. after selecting a row, then sorting, the selection sticks to the position in the grid, rather than the actual data. I would have expected it to either stick with the data, or clear the selection so nothing is selected. I would just assume clear the selection rather than have it actually change, like it is now. When a row is selected, I'm showing detail information about that specific row below the grid, so when a user does this, then sorts, the selected row changes and the new selected row's detail info shows below the grid. How should I go about stopping this? Hook into the gridview's Sorting event and set the selected row back to -1 (for nothing selected)? I assume that would work but I was compelled to post anyway to see if there is something else I should be doing...
2. I have not tested yet, but I assume the same thing would happen when paging occurs?3. another issue I'm having is when a user enters into edit mode for a row. This also does not clear a previous selection, so if a user had first selected a row, which shows the detail info for that row below the grid, then they hit the edit button for a different row, now on screen at the same time is a selected row (visible by selectedRowStyle), it's detail info below, and a completely different row in edit mode... this is a very confusing scenario for a user. I either need to ensure that any selection is cleared once in edit mode, OR sync these up so that the row in 'edit' mode also becomes the selected row... what do you guys/gals normally do for this situation? I'm thinking syncing up so that the row in edit mode is also selected sounds preferable... how would I do that?
