Web Forms :: Lock Gridview Header In IE8 Browser Normal View?
Mar 29, 2011
I am using IE8 browser. I would like to Lock column header of gridview in IE 8 Normal View. I can lock in In compatibility View . I could not Lock In Normal view of IE8 Browser. I have developed Asp.net Application(c#) usingNote: Gridview column Header is dynamically loaded as per Client Requirement.
It happened to add an extra Gridveiw Header in row_databound event , It did worked fine on !Postback but disappered on Page.Postback . Quick google search guided me to move the event to Row_Created event and every thing is okay .
Can any expert post some pointers , differnces between grid row_created vs row_databount with some sample table data created dynamically behaviour of both the events in !Postback and page.Postback .
I am creating an HTML document which we are then pushing out to MS Word using a "application/msword" content type. This works so far except that the files open in Word with Web View. Once Normal View is selected all works fine. Is there any way to force Word to open with Normal View instead of Web View?
Scenario: I have a Gridview where I want to handle the Sorting in a custom control that I've added to the header. I've added this control to my GridView's Header via OnRowCreate event handling. I want the Sort Expressions to persist session to session (via Webparts Personalization)
Here is what I have for adding the custom header control to the GridView Header
[Code]....
This works out well for adding the control, but I can't get anything to persist because these controls are creating initially via postback (per the event) and re-created on all subsequent postbacks. I can't add an If(!IsPostback) because the controls are initially created on the gridview's postback (well at least thats how it's acting when I put it in there) If I were to add this control via the ASP page, not via the Codebehind, I would be able to persist the control. If I try to treat it as though everything is setup correctly, and assign my custom control's controls to [Personalizable], I get a runtime error telling me that I can only have webpartzones in or before Page_init (I'm guessing this is due to when/where the gridview hits the OnRowCreate event). If there is some fundimental logic I'm missing, or best practices that I'm moving away from,
I like to clear the IE Pagesetup--> header and footer using Asp.net 1.1 , I have tried in 2.0 Dotnet it works fine it is not working in 1.1 and its urgent too this is the code i tried ...........
I have a datagrid and vertical-horizontal scrollbars in it. now when datagrid will have more records , scoll bars will be provided. now when i scroll vertically , my header line of the datagrid is also scrolling so i wanna freeze it. i have used javascript to freeze it , its working in IE properly but there is problem with other browser.
i used this :[URL] but its not working in other browser.
i have a gridview bound to sql datasource with template fields binding the columns. I have set the Header Style to a css class. I have 3 columns not bound to data as Add, Edit and Delete. When I set the text color to white for the header only the non bound columns go white. The bound columns are BLUE like hyperlink. Any one know a way round this. (If I set the style in the gridview the all columns are white. Want to set in external css file).
How to show Header Template Alone in the Grid view when data source return NULL values or 0 value. and i want to also display the Header Template alone when the page loaded
Grid view header should not grow big on top when less elements are present,if i have more elemnets/rows header appearing as small if i have less rows 2 to 3 rows header growing bigger, i want header should be of fixed size whether it does have less or more records.
and gets a 301 redirect response to location http://site.com/?q=ABC (note case of querystring)
Is it possible for the browser to ignore the difference in case and re-request http://site.com/?q=abc, thus causing an infinite redirect loop? That's the scenario that appears to be happening according to the IIS logs. It seems to be isolated to Internet Explorer with some variation of the Ask toolbar installed (based on user-agent values). I even installed the Ask toolbar, but have not been able to recreate this scenario in any way.
I can't post the source code, but for those that want something, here's the general logic:
Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { var q = Request.QueryString["q"];[code]...
As you can see, if this page is requested with ?q=abc it will be redirected once, but then it'll render as usual because the redirect goes to ?q=ABC.Is there any scenario where the browser (specifically IE with the Ask toolbar) could ignore the case of the redirect location, causing an endless loop?
i configured the datasource and and link it with the detailsview but when i run i cnt see the details view...this happen mostly when i changed default mode to edit of read-only..
