I have a master page with a model that is used my any page. It is within the FORM tag and shows up just fine as expected. When I click button on the modal UC the values from the TextBoxes are not updated with values that I typed into them before button click.

I have a user control that I am explicitely calling from an aspx page. In page_load of hte aspx page I have the following, myControl = (DynamicTable)Page.LoadControl("../inc/DynamicTable.ascx"); Then in my code where I want it to execute the control, I have this pnlESDDEnrolled.Controls.Add(myControl); where pnlESDDEnrolled is the panel I am loading it into for display. So, I execute the aspx page, it links off to the user control, populates the control, returns back to the aspx page and the page dispalys with the user control in the middle of it. All is well.
The problem comes in when updates are made on the user control. Keep in mind, that other data is updated on the page as well, and the update button resides on the page, not the control. Anyway, when the update button is pushed, the button_click event is fired on the page, but the updates that I made on the user control are lost. Since the page loaded the user control and then the usercontrol executed the page unload method, the page has no knowledge of the user control anymore. Thus, when the update button on the page is pushed, I guess I am not really sure what happens with the updated data on the user control. All's I know, it is lost.
I've got a web site that has a master page and that master page (mpMaster that has a user control ucControl1) which has a sub user control (ucControl2), this user control has a property which accepts a value. Now, I have a page that uses the master page
and on this page I have another user control (ucPageControl), I need to find a way of setting the value in ucControl2 from ucPageControl. Is this possible at all?
i would like to ask about how can i open user control page when i click a button on parent page, also, can i call parent's method from user control page and then refresh parent page?

It is a search box with a text box and a dropdown for search type (last name, account number, etc) and a search button. When the user clicks the search button, I open a new page that displays the results. How do I pass the values from the USER CONTROL search fields to the new page? I would post code, but I have nothing to post yet since I don't know where to start. I have tried exposing the public property of the user control, but I don't know how to retrieve those values on the results page.

I have a Masterpage and a UserControl inside the MasterPage itself.
I have a public method named PerformDragAndDrop inside the MasterPage and I want to call this method from the userControls's code behind.
Does anyone know how I would go about calling a method found in the master page code behind from a user control's code? The user control is on the master page. The method I want to call is public.
I can easily call a method found in the pages code behind using:
Page.GetType().InvokeMember("TheMethodsName", System.Reflection.BindingFlags.InvokeMethod, null, this.Page, null);
or I can call a method found on the master page from my aspx page code behind using:
((MasterPage_MasterPage)Page.Master).TheMethodsName();
But I am stuck because I can't find the MasterPage in my user control code behind.

View 1 RepliesI have a label on my master page (called mainMenu) that shows the number of items in a cart. The label wasn't getting updated when the cart was cleared until after an additional postback or redirect so I created a method on the master page called UpdateNumberOfItemsInCart to update the label text.
Using the MasterType directive on the Cart page allowing me to strongly type the master page, I can access the update method from the Cart page. There is a user control also named Cart that actually contains the 'clear cart' button so I setup an event on the user control also called UpdateNumberOfItemsInCart. I wire up the Cart control's event on the Cart page which then makes a call to Master.UpdateNumberOfItemsInCart();
So far so good except when I wrap the Cart control with an update panel the update to the cart count label doesn't happen.

The page has a master page that contains a Tab user control. The user control has several tabs and every tab has a different Status.
