Web Forms :: Multi Column Page Layout With Databinding?

I need a multi-column page layout. All colums are side by side and same width. This is very easy with CSS. But real problem is, i need to fill these columns with cells. Every cell is a record from a dataset. So i need to fill a column from top cell to bottom cell thus need to fill the page from left column to right column. As you see below every cell may have different height, because every record may cover different area in a cell (string length). Datalist is eliminated beacuse it has table layout, every row in this table has same height.
A repeater can manage for one column but what about the other columns. Should i use 3 or 4 repeaters side by side and share the data somehow between them. But this time there is another problem after first page is finished, sequential pages must have the same multicolumn layout filled by cells as i mentioned above. I think i need multi columns nested repater with paging support.

I have a 3 column layout using table-less design.

I am using a web application, and I can't change the layout. By can't change, I mean the div's with left/content/right cannot be removed.
On some pages, both the left and right columns are completely empty. And I want the #content div to expand more than the 600px.
is this possible, without altering the HTML?

What we need is a two column layout (left column approx. 200px with the right column 100% for the rest of the width). We need a header on top and a footer on bottom. Both the header and footer can be fixed heights if that's what's needed. The footer needs to "stick" to the bottom of the browser. The two columns both need to fill in 100% height down to the footer when the content is short, and push the footer down when the content is long. Finally, we need this to be a CSS-only solution (no JavaScript).

I am trying to rewrite an Access Database in to a asp.net front end and i have hit an issue that i can not find a good way round.
in the access version of the software there is a screen the displays all cusotmers and invoice information about these customers, there are currently 15 columns on the screen and we currently have around 25K customers and this will only go up. This is done using a multi column listbox i need to replicate this screen in asp.net but i spent all day on this on as yet not found a good way of do this.
the user will need the ability to select multiple customers at a time and because of the amount of data a scroll bar is a must, this is why the listbox is an ideal tool, apart from the fact the standard one in asp.net does not allow multi columns. grid lines would also be useful. I have look at a few third party multi column multi column list boxes but the only one that i have found that seems to work OBOUT's takes far to long to render 25K rows.

Our current application is working fine but when you try to misbehave like we found out that When login with same user in multiple tab with different organization(there is a organization dropdown in the master page which sets the cookie whenever it is changed.) in tab one it is org 1 and tab 2 it is org2 , cookie has the later org 2 in it but when we go back in tab1(which had org1) and save the record org 2 will be saved with the record So can some one share some sort of a checklist with us which address these types of problem.

I have a gridview which I have databinded via the quick config facility, but I need to databind one column to a completely different sql table data field - how do I do this?
If I go into Gridview tasks and select the column and edit the data binding parameter but what is the format for a table outside the source definition for the the rest of the gridview?

I want to create a web page with a table on top and a scrollable panel. Similar layout to yahoo mail inbox page (list of inbox messages on top and the panel displaying details). Further more, the table displays general information list and the panel displays a list of detail records. when a user clicks a table row, the panel is going to jump to the specific detail row, similar to html anchors. Do you know how to implement this?

I've a page main.aspx. This page has a button 'Settings'. When it is clicked, I load another aspx page settigns.aspx in a popup. Now in the settings.aspx i allow the users to add controls dynamically. For example the user can create 5 textboxes. When he saves it there, I need to get that controls to main.aspx.
So i need to move all the controls from one page to another page. I'm not able to think of a solution with user controls.

I am new to ASP.NET development and I am running into an issue using master/content pages. I have a master file that basically defines all of the layout for my site. The only thing that the content pages are supposed to display is some very basic text/images/html, made available by one ContentPlaceHolder control in the master file.
My problem is in the display. When I view the content page, none of the layout that should be inherited from the master page is displayed -- I end up with just a 'blank' page. What seems odd, is that if I look at the Design View in VS 2005, the content page appears to show the layout that is defined in the master. Here is a sample of the source for the master and one of the content pages...

While converting a desktop application to a web app, I've run across my ignorance when attempting to implement a multi-column data entry form using CSS. I'm resolved to avoid using tables for this type of thing, and while I found a good reference to laying out a data entry form, I can find nothing that applies to multiple-column layouts like this one:

Using a ListBox, where multiple items can be selected. Using StringSplit SQL function the string passed from Listbox is separated where the delimeter is comma ( , ).ListBox is in search form where user enters search criteria using other controls and the ListBox. All works good by simply using below SQL statement in Stored procedure that carries search.

Question:- Now one of List Item is None , when None is selected or None is selected with other ListItems from ListBox it is required to retrieve all records where COLUMN IS NULL.Example: When the Male, Female and None is selected from ListBox, SQL statement in Stored procedure will be

Like to know how this can be handled? It is required to retrive NULL values when None is selected in ListBox as well as in combination of other ListItems(Male and Female) i.e., Male, Female, Null when user selects multiple items from ListBox.

Creating a simple CMs syetm and wish to provide the user with the ability to view the masterpage within a page. Basically want to render the masterpage and allow uses to drag a box within the contentholder areas. Similar to SiteFinity if anyone has seen that. I have had a look at other CMS systems and SiteFinity appears to be the only one doing this?

im workin on a project using web parts..i have two pages:the first one contains two webpartzones and a set of webparts. in the second one, i should have the same webparts in the first but organised in a specific form. now this page is considered as a template page which the user can choose to apply on his first
page.when the user chose this page. the first one should organise its webparts in the second webpartzone in a way that looks the same as the order of the webparts in the second page.

I can do all operations like closing, minimizing, dragging webpart from one zone to another.But I find out one strange issue that when I modified home page of one user and logged out. then in same browser if I login for another user, same modification that I have performed for earlier user appears for the second user.

I am trying to create a multi column listbox by combining fields in Linq select statement, as Let Name = Last + First. The problem is how to pad the Last column with spaces as you would in SQL using REPLICATE so when I bind the listbox to the data, it looks like two columns.
