I am having a peculiar problem with the button when i click it i am getting script generated in source and i have some other button in my page even i have written code but now if i click them i am getting the script i dont know why

I am developing an ecommerce site that is utilizing PayPal's sandbox environment. I have a login control in the header section of a master page. Everything works as expected until I am redirected back to my site from PayPal. The login control doesn't work as expected. When I click on logout it doesn't change to login or it does change but the user still appears to authenticated.
View 2 RepliesI basically have a web app where the user enters some form info in Page1. This info is submitted and a SQL database is updated. The user is directed to Page2.
Page 2 contains a summary of info submitted in Page1, a PRINT button, and two UpdatePanels. Each UpdatePanel contains a ListView where the user can add, edit and remove items. Once the user is happy with the page, they click PRINT. This takes them to a printer-friendly page with NO on-page navigation.
Once printed using the browser print button, the user clicks the browser back button. In this case it is always IE8 running the pages. When you return to Page2, the content of the ListViews in the UpdatePanels looks like the first step when Page2 was entered from Page1. All work done on Page2 from that intial point is not there. Click the browser refresh button and the entire page will load.
Why does this happen? When the user clicks the browser back button in the printer friendly page, I need the screen to show Page2 with all the info from just before the PRINT button was pressed.
I can provide code, but initially thought it would confuse/clutter the post.
If I have a calendar extender paired with a textbox, then things work as expected. I can set a date eg 03/10/2011. I can then type in the textbox to update that date to something like 03/12/2011 and the calendar updates as well.

However, the moment I add a button to pop the calendar up, the calendar doesn't change when you manually type a new date.

In the second example, you can set the date the first time. Any updates from then on have to be through the calendar though. I can type in the textbox, but it will not update the calendar. Am I missing something or does this calendar extender have a major bug? If anyone knows a clean elegant fix, I would be very appreciative. I am not all that excited about manually hooking up a change event to that textbox and then updating the calendar extender, but if I have to I will.
In the MSDN is writen about TreeNode that:
"By default, a node is in selection mode."

Here is the problem and possibly a bug in the control:
When I set the TreeNode object PopulateOnDemand value to true and call the Collapse() function on that node.Then the TreeNodeExpanded event is raised in addition to the SelectedNodeChanged event.This is in complate contradiction to what is writen in the MSDN.According to the MSDN this sould happen only if TreeNodeSelectAction Property is set to TreeNodeSelectAction.SelectExpand value.

I've got a user control that is displayed via a PopupControlExtender. The user control is a GridView that dynamically adds columns to the control to display the results of a SELECT statement. The PopupControlExtender correctly displays the control and the control displays the neccessary columns. However, when the control is first displayed, the column widths are ignored, despite that they are explicity set. If the control is displayed and then hidden, the column widths are acknowledged the next time the control is displayed.

I'm having a bit of an issue in my ASP.Net application moving focus from a textbox in one user control to a text box in the next user control on the page after postback. I've searched high and low over the last several days to find a solution but, for whatever reason, have been unable to do so.
I have a page that has user controls loaded dynamically to allow a user to enter data.The number and type of user controls loaded to the page is determined at run time based on a database query.It is possible than many controls of the same type can be loaded. Each user control has its own update panel. Within the update panel of each control is a regular asp panel. Inside of the regular panel there are at least 2 server controls (any other controls that may exist in the user control are not affected by this issue) - a text box and a button.The defaultbutton property of the regular panel is set to the ID of the button within the user control. The desired behavior is to allow the user to enter data into the textbox on one user control hit enter to save the data on that user control the application will set focus to the textbox of the next user control on the page after the data from the "current" user control has been saved. Other considerations;
The application uses master pages. We make extensive use of ajax and the ajaxtoolkit in the application. I am using Visual Studio 2010 and .Net 4 The issue - when first entering the page, one can enter data into the first textbox and press the enter key. Data from "current" user control is correctly saved and focus is correctly moved to the next user control on the page.
Data can be entered into the textbox of "new" user control and when the enter key is pressed, the data is correctly save. The focus appears to move correctly to the next user control on the page.Data cannot be entered into the textbox of the control. Pressing the enter key will not save the data (because none was entered) but the focus will move to the textbox of the next user control on the page.

I've been having several doubts with how fileupload control works internally. I've been trying to implement some kind of progress bar with iframes and such but I have noticed that when a local file is selected in the fileupload control and a postbackoccurs the file content is sent to the server wheter you choose save it or not.I have tested this with some examples and postback time seems to be the same in both cases, and the only difference is the time the servers needs to write the file on disk through the "FileUpload.SaveAs()" method.
View 4 RepliesI am facing an issue. I have a web application in ASP.NET and C#. On a page I have a drop down list, which works fine in IE. However in firefox if I click on the dropdown, it get expanded, now if i type some charcter, relevant value get selected, now if i click out side the dropdown anywhere on my page, dropdown collpased, new value is shown as selected but no post back occurs. I even put a client side function to call on change of value, but that also didn't get called. However if i again click on my page post back occurs and selectedindexchanged event of that dropdown is called.
View 8 RepliesI have a gridview control where clicking on a specific row saves an ID number to session("ReportID") and then brings up a popup window. The popup window checks session("ReportID") on load and then displays the correct report information. This setup seems to work fine in Firefox and Safari, but for some reason IE is not refreshing the popup window. I'm trying to figure out a way to force IE to refresh/reload the popup window like it does in firefox/safari. If the popup is not refreshed then it won't update the information on page_load. I thought that window.open should automaticly reload the page in the called popup window as this is what FF and safari seems to do, but maybe not. I think that the javascript .reload() may force IE to refresh the popup, but I don't know what the correct syntax would be.

I am using a gridview to display (open or save) files that have been uploaded into a SQL 2005 server. I have a templatefield within the gridview that contains a linkbutton that does a postback to GetUploadedFile.aspx that then fires the response.binarywrite() code. The code seems to work fine and opens/saves the files correctly. But once this has completed and I try and click on another button on the page, instead of doing the appropriate action it re-fires the getuploadedfile.aspx binarywrite code and opens up the "Open/Save/Cancel" dialog again.

I may just thinking wrong about this but I have a problem that is causing me to want to pull my hair out:
I have two DropDownLists. Call them ddl1 and ddl2. I am binding ddl1 to a DataTable on page_load using if not IsPostBack and allowing view state to keep it populated.
I am then binding ddl2 to another DataTable based on the selected item in ddl1 on the SelectedIndexChanged event on ddl1. My problem is that when I set ddl2's AppendDataBoundItems="true", it just appends the items in the DataTable each time I select a new ddl1 item, so that if I change the selected item in ddl1 3 times, I end up with items in ddl2 from the 2 previous selections as well as the current ddl1 selection.
This doesn't happen when I set ddl2's AppendDataBoundItems="false". Obviously, this is not desiariable behaviour.
In VS 2008 using VB I am using the standard calendar. In my program the user will be changing the date, especially between months, before entering new data. The problem I have is that when you change just the month, the calendar does not give you a new date until you select a specific day of the month. Thus if I go from October 14th back to September, there is no new date as a result of that event. Ideally it should default or give you the oportunity to allow it to defualt to the 1st day of the month. Is there anyway around this. I don't want my users to have to change the month then select a date. I would like the code: m = MyCal.SelectedDate.Month to assign the month to m when the month is changed.
View 4 RepliesI have strange behavior when changing from ItemTemplate to EditItemTemplate. both the ItemTemplate and EditItemTemplate contain the same textbox with multiline. Except the ItemTemplate got the ReadOnly parameter. When the row is getting in EditMode and I enter the textbox everything is disabled. I click on another column that contains a label instead of a multiline textbox and get back in the textbox I can do everything. When I enter in the same row another MultiLine textbox I cannot do anything until I click on a label and get back in that TextBox. When the textboxes are in normal mode I don't seem to be having this issues. What is changed between the MultiLine and SingleLine textbox? What kind of PostBack or something could cause this strange behavior?
View 2 RepliesI have a multiview page. Page 1 basically gives you the option of selecting if you want to enter percentages or amounts. Page 2 you can select a productgroup page 3 creates dynamically a table with textboxes in the first row and radiobuttons in the next rows. In the textboxes you enter a percentage or an amount depending on the choice on page 1. Because these textboxes and radiobuttons depend on the data present in a database, I have to create them dynamically, so far so good.
The textboxes also have the textchanged event and autopostback, because there needs to be a check if an entered value is valid. Now when I enter a value in a textbox, click on a button that directs me to page 2 (view 2) and select another productgroup, the same value I entered also pops up in the textbox in the same position.
And I don't get it, the table is cleared every time I enter page (view) 3 and the function that creates the table and fills it with data is also correct (with the correct values), but when its displayed the value from the previous productgroup is in the textbox. Is this behavior someone recognizes ? maybe I forgot something simple?
I have a page with 14 dropdown lists. In the first page load (ie. not isPostback) I set the selectedIndex of the dropdownlists individually but I find that they are all set to the value I use for the last dropdownlist set. Here is the code

<so on for all the dropdown lists until the last one>
comboFirstJudge14.SelectedIndex = 4
The result is that all dropdown lists have SelectedIndex = 4. If I run the same code on a postback it works just fine (the first lists have SelectedIndex = 0 and the last one = 4).
I have a site that was sucesfully upgraded to Framework 3.5 on Vista with VS2008. Now however after installing VS2010 and upgraded to Win 7 wierd things are happenning and was wonderring if any of you have experienced this and how you've dealt with it.First thing I notice in my main page that the four user controls are not in alignment. They should appear side by side in a single row, however now they spread acros two rows with one on top and three on the bottom. Also my graphics and navigation is not where they supposed to be. Just for comparison, if run the existing solution on Win 2003 with VS2008, it works like it supposed to. All the formatting is handled in .css and that didn't change either.

I am trying to implement a online shopping Cart which enables editing and deletion of products. I created a datatable programatically and bind it to a Griview control. (datatable is stored in a session variable ). When clicking the edit button of the Gridview nothing happened. How can I impement editing behaviour to the gridview?

I have an issue that seems to only happen on my production server. I show or hide table rows whenever the buttons are clicked. However, when I do a postback on the checkbox, all of the rows become visible and the textbox stays empty. It works correctly on my test server and local workstation, just not in production.

I was working with treeview and bumped into this problem where i need to add child nodes to a treeview control,these child nodes are a combination of textbox and button control so that

I have a User Control with a multiple number of link buttons.
What I want to achieve is to change the Background colour of one of the link button control in the page load event of one of the pages. I am finding it difficult to access the link button in user control .
I have a test site that is using the sqlprovidermembership. It is now working as expected. one of our clients has a site that was written in PHP. They created a link to our test site and when you click on one of there menu items it places the login page in a frame on there site for instance (http://www.client.com/staff.php). Now when the user enters their username and password the validation does not work. It simply continues to bring up the login page. it does not even say that they login was unsuccessful.

how then to change the Behavior's id? I know it is impossible to change the id of a Sys.UI.Control component, but the web control I created has a Behavior client side API.
