"To put a node into selection mode, set the node's NavigateUrl property to an empty string."
"When a node is in selection mode, use the SelectAction property to specify which event or events are raised when a node is selected."
"Setting TreeNodeSelectAction value TreeNodeSelectAction.Select Raises the SelectedNodeChanged event when a node is selected."
Here is the problem and possibly a bug in the control:
When I set the TreeNode object PopulateOnDemand value to true and call the Collapse() function on that node. Then the TreeNodeExpanded event is raised in addition to the SelectedNodeChanged event. This is in complate contradiction to what is writen in the MSDN.According to the MSDN this sould happen only if TreeNodeSelectAction Property is set to TreeNodeSelectAction.SelectExpand value.
I am developing an ecommerce site that is utilizing PayPal's sandbox environment. I have a login control in the header section of a master page. Everything works as expected until I am redirected back to my site from PayPal. The login control doesn't work as expected. When I click on logout it doesn't change to login or it does change but the user still appears to authenticated.
I have a multiview page. Page 1 basically gives you the option of selecting if you want to enter percentages or amounts. Page 2 you can select a productgroup page 3 creates dynamically a table with textboxes in the first row and radiobuttons in the next rows. In the textboxes you enter a percentage or an amount depending on the choice on page 1. Because these textboxes and radiobuttons depend on the data present in a database, I have to create them dynamically, so far so good.
The textboxes also have the textchanged event and autopostback, because there needs to be a check if an entered value is valid. Now when I enter a value in a textbox, click on a button that directs me to page 2 (view 2) and select another productgroup, the same value I entered also pops up in the textbox in the same position.
And I don't get it, the table is cleared every time I enter page (view) 3 and the function that creates the table and fills it with data is also correct (with the correct values), but when its displayed the value from the previous productgroup is in the textbox. Is this behavior someone recognizes ? maybe I forgot something simple?
Getting an unexpected event firing dropdownlist's selectedIndex event. When I try to redirect from another page by a linkButton. I just changing dropdownlist selectedIndex. Its okay. But after that When I attempt to redirect to another page,DropDownList's selectedIndex event firing (before linkButton Onclick event). But I am not changing any thing in dropdownlist.Somehow its event firing.
also any page viewstates is default (not off). But loading webcontrols into masterpage Page_Load like this :
[Code]....
if this dropdownlist selectedIndexchanged event firing. Because of I am loading webcontrols each masterpage's PageLoadEvent.
What do you prefer this may the reason of this unexpected event firing ? if so. Do you have a better technic to load controls Just for one time and not each pageLoad.maaybe a caching technic I am missing or shoult I use substution.
I couldnt find the main reason why a dropdownlist selectedIndexchanged event firing without I changed anything on that dropdownlist.
what reasons may cause this problem ? if you say viewstate its turned on defaultly. any other reason you know why ?
In VS 2008 using VB I am using the standard calendar. In my program the user will be changing the date, especially between months, before entering new data. The problem I have is that when you change just the month, the calendar does not give you a new date until you select a specific day of the month. Thus if I go from October 14th back to September, there is no new date as a result of that event. Ideally it should default or give you the oportunity to allow it to defualt to the 1st day of the month. Is there anyway around this. I don't want my users to have to change the month then select a date. I would like the code: m = MyCal.SelectedDate.Month to assign the month to m when the month is changed.
I have an issue that seems to only happen on my production server. I show or hide table rows whenever the buttons are clicked. However, when I do a postback on the checkbox, all of the rows become visible and the textbox stays empty. It works correctly on my test server and local workstation, just not in production.
Here is the markup...

Here is the code behind...

Here are the unexpected results whenever I check the chkShow2 checkbox... I am guessing this is a configuration issue on the server.
We are creating a new user control using a boiler plate template for our application. We noticed that anytime a textbox on the new user control has a focus and the enter key is pressed, the form executes a postback. This happens even if the AutoPostback on the text box is set to true. No other user controls in our app behave this way. What could be some of the places for me too look?
I am having a peculiar problem with the button when i click it i am getting script generated in source and i have some other button in my page even i have written code but now if i click them i am getting the script i dont know why
I've got a user control that is displayed via a PopupControlExtender. The user control is a GridView that dynamically adds columns to the control to display the results of a SELECT statement. The PopupControlExtender correctly displays the control and the control displays the neccessary columns. However, when the control is first displayed, the column widths are ignored, despite that they are explicity set. If the control is displayed and then hidden, the column widths are acknowledged the next time the control is displayed.
I'm having a bit of an issue in my ASP.Net application moving focus from a textbox in one user control to a text box in the next user control on the page after postback. I've searched high and low over the last several days to find a solution but, for whatever reason, have been unable to do so.
I have a page that has user controls loaded dynamically to allow a user to enter data.The number and type of user controls loaded to the page is determined at run time based on a database query.It is possible than many controls of the same type can be loaded. Each user control has its own update panel. Within the update panel of each control is a regular asp panel. Inside of the regular panel there are at least 2 server controls (any other controls that may exist in the user control are not affected by this issue) - a text box and a button.The defaultbutton property of the regular panel is set to the ID of the button within the user control. The desired behavior is to allow the user to enter data into the textbox on one user control hit enter to save the data on that user control the application will set focus to the textbox of the next user control on the page after the data from the "current" user control has been saved. Other considerations;
The application uses master pages. We make extensive use of ajax and the ajaxtoolkit in the application. I am using Visual Studio 2010 and .Net 4 The issue - when first entering the page, one can enter data into the first textbox and press the enter key. Data from "current" user control is correctly saved and focus is correctly moved to the next user control on the page.
Data can be entered into the textbox of "new" user control and when the enter key is pressed, the data is correctly save. The focus appears to move correctly to the next user control on the page.Data cannot be entered into the textbox of the control. Pressing the enter key will not save the data (because none was entered) but the focus will move to the textbox of the next user control on the page.
Data can be entered into the textbox of the user control. When the enter key is pressed, the data is correctly saved and the focus appears to move correctly to the textbox of the next control on the pageBasically, steps 3 and 4 are repeated until the end of the user controls on the page, alternating between being able to enter data and not. Other items of note When one is able to enter data into the textbox of a user control, one can correctly tab through the textboxes of each user control until the end of the page When one is not able to enter data into the textbox of a user control, pressing the tab key will take the focus to the address bar of the browser.
I created a much simplified example of the scenario described above and was able to consistently reproduce the "bad" focus behavior. All of the ajax toolkit controls and code where stripped out of the sample to rule the toolkit out as a cause. The behavior still occurs without the toolkit.
I am including the code for default.aspx and WebUserControl1.ascx.
I have TreeView on a Sharepoint aspx page. The tree is populated dynamically using a Sharepoint list containing a folder-stucture. I would like to handle Select-actions but I am not able to.. the SelectedNodeChanged event only seems to occur when I select the outer-most nodes. Minimal example code for the UserControl where the TreeView is located is found below.
I am trying o implement a non-databound treeview and capture its click event when a user clicks one of its nodes. Everything I tried does not fire SelectedNodeChanged event...why?here I even tried the example sited on msdn and it does not fire...http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar/system.web.ui.webcontrols.treeview.selectednodechanged.aspxthis what I have tried to copy and implement right from the sampkle:
Sub Select_Change(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Message.Text = "You selected: " & LinksTreeView.SelectedNode.Text End Su [code]...
I have a TreeView on a page which I will populate the nodes on demand and a checkbox, and they are in the same updatepanel. I can dynamically add new nodes to this treeview. But when I click the checkbox which will cause a postback, the TreeNodePopulate is called before the Page_load and it will regenerate the nodes that was added before. I was very confused how could this be happened. Is this related with PopulateOnDemand and Expanded priorities?
I don't want to use Sessions to handle each click event inside treeview selected node changed.Secondly, if you suggest me to use treenode.SelectedValue then I would say my values are dyanmically generated.Everytime a node a clicked, the selected node value is sent in the next request xml to get response and xml schema is different for each click. How do I handle this each click event other than using session variables. I thought of using Request.Item (and integrating with URL redirect property) but I don't want to use that.
I understand I need to load my dynmaic control on every postback and preferrably in Page_Init(). But my dyanmic controls are loaded from a dropdownlist selectedindexchanged event handler. Now after any postback, my dynamic controls are gone. How would I force it to load on every postback ?
Once I click on 'Engines included' a treeview having all the engine node should show. I am geting the engine collection dynamically from database.
1.What should i use to create enginesIncluded control? 2.How do i show a user control having a treeview on click of 'engine included' control? 3. I also need to show the selected engines on the top row as buttons .
