Mar 30, 2010On my page I have a calendar. The idea being that the user clicks the date, which runs a query to update a gridview to list things happening on that day. Everything there works fine.However, I want it to run on the Page_Load to automatically display today's events at start up. It refuses and will only update the gridView if I actually click on the calendar.in my Page_Load I have the following code :

Jun 29, 2010I'm making a call to a web service which returns some data I want to disply in a gridview.The data returned contains two columns "UseDate" & "Quantity" I need to sort the grid by UseDate on pageLoad...I can only make a call once every 120 seconds to return the data.
How can I get the GridView to sort?I have tried couple things but either it does nothing or I get an error... that the Grid fired an unhandled event.

May 27, 2010i'm creating and adding checkbox in my code behind to a parent control.
autopost back is true, it's posting back on being checked, but i'm not sure how to capture the fact that it's checked before I recreate/add it to the parent control again.
i can search all controls and find it prior to re adding it to the parent, but it never shows checked...
i have a checkchanged event on it that never fires, thing it's a flow/view state issue, but not sure how to reslove...

Oct 21, 2015I have a masterPage on that i am using AjaxModalPopup for login purpose.My requirement is when i login via Master page then it should show the Logged-in User details on the current Content Page that is using same master page.
Here i am using following code to get it back to the same content page after succesful login but it does not show the user details on the same content page rather when i go to next page then it appears.

Mar 18, 2011I can't figure out why, but before my form is even displayed, the CheckChanged event fires. I don't even have a chance to check anything. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Oct 12, 2012I have used an Update Panel, and place two RadioButtons in Update Panel.
Radiobutton1 ID="radio1" and RadioButton2 ID="radio2"
Then I have set AsynPostBack for Both radioButton's.
Now, on Page Loads radio1 will triggered and fetch all data from Database, then when I click on radio2 it will triger and fetch all data, but if I again click radio1 It doesn't get trigger.
Same process I have done by setting PostBack on both Radiobutton's but show's same result.

Jan 22, 2010I have actually resolved my problem but I want to understand why. The scenario I have is an input for logging in on my Default.aspx page. When the user logs in the page refreshes and the login box changes to display a logout box using:
loginBox.visible = false
logoutBox.visible = true
My question is about the positioning of this code. I had my code validate the users input when the btnLogin is clicked. I then had those two lines above under PageLoad but this did not work. The user would log in but would have to refresh the page to update the boxes. Instead I had to place those two lines of code in the btnLogin Clicked area, at the same time as the user is validated.
It was always my understanding that when something on the page is clicked/activated the entire page is reloaded, but this appears not to be the case otherwise the PageLoad area should have worked.

Now I want to include the nifty feature that when one has replied to a message and the forum thread page is being displayed, the page is autmatically scrolled down to the message one wrote (the same thing goes for linking to a message, one wants the page to be scrolled down to the right place from the start).
I guess this could be done using anchors an html, but is there a function i vb.net that would do this for me?

The problem is the event handler is ignored. Label8 and RefreshButton do not becoem visible when clicking Linkbutton1, but the new window opens fine. How can I make all things happen?

Sep 24, 2010Why is it that the aspx.net system fires all the TextChanged event (for a slider) to a value of 0, when you did not originally set any values?
What I notice happening is, if you do not declare a Slider1.Text = "0" value initially, then when the page_load fires, the control protected void Slider1_TextChanged is fired automatically.
