Web Forms :: Calendar, Updating A Gridview, And Triggering On PageLoad?

On my page I have a calendar. The idea being that the user clicks the date, which runs a query to update a gridview to list things happening on that day. Everything there works fine.However, I want it to run on the Page_Load to automatically display today's events at start up. It refuses and will only update the gridView if I actually click on the calendar.in my Page_Load I have the following code :

Is my code in the wrong place? Are there events I don't know about. Fairly new to this asp.net business. Any light please shine it here.
I m working on application that works similar to our email i.e when user enter his emailid and password his inbox should be display and those unread should be in bold and i have a treeview for inbox, sent, deleted .when inbox is selected the inbox detail should be displayed using gridview by default like in email the inbox data shoul be display on pageload so i have written databind code for grid view in page load event

I'm making a call to a web service which returns some data I want to disply in a gridview.The data returned contains two columns "UseDate" & "Quantity" I need to sort the grid by UseDate on pageLoad...I can only make a call once every 120 seconds to return the data.
How can I get the GridView to sort?I have tried couple things but either it does nothing or I get an error... that the Grid fired an unhandled event.
I have a database linked to a calendar. I had a peice of code that retrieved dates from a database and populated the calendar. I wanted to tidy up my code using stored procedures (they seem neater & i assume there's a benefit somewhere). so i came up with this, however it's not working. The calendar displays, but it's not being populated with the database entries. The SqlCommand & SqlParameter I have working elsewhere in my code; as with the SqlDataAdapter (which also worked before i tried to conver to a storedprocedure!) but combining these three (SqlCommand, SqlParameter & SqlDataAdapter) seem to be causing me problems.It's probably something stupid but if someone could take a look and point me in the right direction,
I have a masterPage on that i am using AjaxModalPopup for login purpose.My requirement is when i login via Master page then it should show the Logged-in User details on the current Content Page that is using same master page.
Here i am using following code to get it back to the same content page after succesful login but it does not show the user details on the same content page rather when i go to next page then it appears.
How to display record in gridview using pageload event in vb.net ? i wanna use two SqlDatasource1 and sqldatasource 2 to display record in single gridview1
SqlDatasource1 will display all records from tabel where as SqlDatasource will be used to display particuar record search in table 1 but how to do this ?
I've got two websites. One is a copy of the other, I even went ahead and remade a copy of the original a second time hoping it would alleviate the issue I'm having but it didn't.
On both pages I have a calendar so the route is

The issue is on the original site /Calendar works. It shows the Calendar page with the current month. On the copy site /Calendar gives a 404 but /Calendar/Index shows the Calendar page with the current month.
I have a parent gridview which has a child gridview in the itemsTemplate. Both are binded to different SqlDataSources. I can successfully update and delete rows in the child gridview. After updating in the child gridview, some related data in the parent gridview are not updated automatically. So i have placed ParentGridview.Databind() in the rowupdated event of child gridview. But it doesnt look working.
I have a page that has a updatepanel around a gridview control that is within my modalpopup. So you land on the page, there is a link that when clicked will open the model popup. I have a web form F1. It has a button in grid B1. On clicking this B1 one dialog box opens thorugh javascript.
Now problem is on closing this dialog, Page_load event of F1 is not fiering. I have no output cache declared in dialog. I have to trigger the Page_Load event.

I don't have an idea what the hell happens just imeddiately that so simple stuff don't want to work.I use some javascript jquery too, and I tried to remove all JavaScript, still the same.. Deleted button and events, reapplied them on page, still not triggering Click event.. Wth?
I've been working on a web form that has lost it's ability to respond to most event handlers, though code that I write in Page_Load still fires. No button click or text changed events will fire. This has been working for months, and suddenly stopped. I did a windiff comparison to an older version of the webform, and don't see anything suspicious.
When a user selects an item from dropdownlist ,, certain dates (from DB) gets selected on Calendar automatically with the color pink >> This is working FINE The problem happens after that, when i want to select any other date >> the dates which were selected automatically before (that came from DB) get deselected !! I want them to stay selected, so i know which are the dates that already saved in DB ! So, the calendar is removing the programmed selected dates upon selecting a new date on the calendar object.

I am using LINQ to SQL and on my DetailsView it updates fine but with my gridview it is not. Both I used template fields so I am not sure what the issue is?

I have been doing a lot of reading and searching and I cannot figure out why this is not working for me.
I was able to get the code below to give me the value I want from my SQL table however it has to display it in a gridview so I assume that something in the code acutally makes the result a data source rather than a string value.
