How to clear radiobuttonlist selected value if textbox value is present/selected and viceversa(i.e should clear textbox value if radiobuttonlist has selected value) before clicking the button?
I placed a RadioButtonList inside a Formview control. And from DataBound event handler oformview ,RadioButtonList is binded to the datasource .Now my problem is after selecting a value from radiobuttonlist and I click any button, the radiobuttonList get unchecked and lose the selected value .How can I avoid this.
I added some food items in CHeckBoxList. I want to add selected food item(s) in a ListBox. The Text Property is name of the food and it's value is there Price (Food Price) As soon as I add any food item in a ListBox the total should be displayed.
Whichever code I wrote using it, if i select 1 item then it adds in a ListBox. But If I select another food item then Previous food item also added because it is selected. I will select some food items then it will be adding in the ListBox, I will check the total, if the total is greater than my budget then i can remove some food items.
I am writing a form which has a set of options (radio buttons), and under each option, there is another set of options. For example:
- Session 1 - New Book A - Used Book A - Session 2 - New Book B - Used Book B
I've tried using HTML <input type="radio", and <asp:RadioButton, but even though I assign the "name" attribute correctly, the buttons are not mutually exclusive -- i.e., you can click both within each group. I see in "View Source" that the name and ID are altered, and therefore become ungrouped by the ASP.NET processing. I've tried using <asp:RadioButtonList, and this works functionally, but the items are not grouped properly. They appear like this:
- Session 1 - Session 2 - New Book A - Used Book A - New Book B - Used Book B
After editing the list of hardcoded items in a RadioButtonList on a ASP.NET page via the Design view, I find that the HTML source for the RadioButtonList still does not update to the latest list of items i.e items are still the ones before the changes.
Is there a way to synchronize what appears in the Design view and the actual HTML source? Or do I have to delete the RadioButtonList and recreate it?
i read article "using javascript with asp.net radiobuttonlist control" and i found it useful.
[var RB1 = document.getElementById("<%=RadioButtonList1.ClientID%>"); var radio = RB1.getElementsByTagName("input"); if am setting radio[1].checked = 1; the item is checked. ]
if you see the UI, the radiobuttonlist display in a first line and the button displays bottom of that Radiobuttonlist, i want to display the button right side of the radiobuttonlist, how to do this?
i just want the RadioButtonList without the radio button on it, i will code the rbl so that selected items have a different background color and make it look more professional, the radio buttons themselves i want to be able to get rid of in terms of appearance...
On my Search page, I have a search textbox, four drop-down lists and a "Search" button. If I use only the drop-down lists and click the "Search" button, results are immediately returned. However, if I enter text into the textbox and click the "Search" button, nothing happens until I click the "Search" button a SECOND time. The processes that occur for the latter scenario are as follows:Text entered into textbox, and Search button clicked:On FIRST click attempt:
1. Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load for Search.aspx is called
2. Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load for Main.Master.vb is called
3. Process stops! No results
On SECOND click attempt:
3. Protected Sub SearchSubmit(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles btSearch.Click for Search.aspx is called
4. Search continues and completes.
So, why will the 3rd step not kick in until clicking Search for a second time
[Code]....
If I reach this last Sub, everything else beyond this works fine.
I want to present a list of delivery options to end users which will be in 3 columns - service description, radio button (to select) and then the price of the service. Also I want to auto postback when the user selects a service from the appropriate radio button - e.g. :
[code]....
I have set this up using a repeater control and stand alone radio button, plus literals to display the text elements all within a tabular structure which looks OK. I have actually overcome the issue where by default you can select all radio buttons using the prescribed javascript fixes I found when searching. This way offers me control over the formatting which is important.
However it does not seem that intuitive to pickup the selected value of the radio button this way, especially with the auto postback - I am having issues trying to access the selected radio button to interpret what the user wants.
It would seem much more appropriate for a RadioButtonList but I can't work out how to override the default formatting, and also how to insert extra table columns for the price etc to keep it all nicely formatted.
So either I need to crack the interpretation of the current setup or to find out is there a way to hijack the default setup of the RadioButtonList?
In my website on Home page, at the Top I am showing 5 pictures which are displayed fade-in, fade-out mode, one after another. Now, the requirement is to randomize these pictures.
I have a radiobuttonlist inside a datalist itemtemplate and i need to bind the radiobuttonlist dynamically from database I have tried to bind it inside itemdatabound event of datalist but it the result is always duplicated according to the fields in teh database.
for more information:
the database has two columns one for questions and the other is for choices , for the first question with id lets say 1 there are 4 choices, when the radiobutton is binded the result appears to be 4 times duplicated ?
