Jan 29, 2010i have a fileupload control which i use to upload file to the server. after the upload is successful i enable a hyperlink with the name of the uploaded file.
i want the user to be able to view this file in the browser after the file has been uploaded.
i did try assigning the navigateurl for the hyperlink = HttpContext.Current.Request.MapPath(".") + "\folder1\" + fileName;
which dint work. all uploaded files are being stored in a folder inside my solution directory on the server.

Feb 9, 2011I have few images on my aspx website and was trying to do a simple link to another page from the image. Noticed that the image control does not let me specify the url, and when i was playing wtih <a href... in source code i run into some issues.
Then i noticed HyperLink control and i used that one. In a property window i see "ImageURL", and "NavigateURL", so i guess that eliminated the need for a "Image" control.
The only problem that i run into with the "hyperlink" control is that once the link is created, the image has a "nasty" red border which i need to remove but i am not sure how to. I set border style to None and it did not work. Then i tried to set border width to 0 and still i have a red border around my image.
How do i remove that annoying red border and is there a better way to do image link with aspx?

Dec 19, 2010In a hosted IIS7 environment, I am looking for the simplest way to use extension-less file names. Simply I have the following pages:
index.html (or .aspx) --> domain.com
gallery.html --> domain.com/gallery
videos.html --> domain.com/videos
etc...
I only have a handful of pages, I have no dynamic code, nothing special. All the examples I have found or methods I use in other sites I've developed revolve around dynamic content, pages, etc. I am simply looking for the simplest solution, ideally not requiring any sort of url rewrite module installed. Preferably, I could keep the .html extension instead of converting the site to a ASP.NET project, but that is an option.
