Web Forms :: Taking A Particular Page (.aspx, .html, .htm) Offline Instead Of The Whole Application
Apr 5, 2010
While having a file App_Offline.htm takes the entire application offline from the web server, is it possible to just take a particular or certain particular pages offline?
E.g. Default2.aspx, Default3.html, Default4.htm, etc.
Such that when a user navigates to the page, a message would tell the user that the page is offline / redirect the user to an alternative page?
is there an easy way (preferably without having to import libraries) to take a screenshot of an ASP.NET web page (better yet an aspx control) in c# and saving it as an image?
I am retrieving records from database nearly 380 records and binding them to a repeater control. My page is taking long time to load. how to improve the performance and here is the code of my repeater.
me how create offline and on line application.like..
I need create an app.net application. This should works with or with out internet.
Here main requirement is some user will connects to internet and get data to local system.then whey will work on offline. Finally need update server all users updates to server.
so here..
1. user will connect to internet every morning at that time we need to synchorize local database from server database.
2.next user will do some operataions like adding some records or updating some records from his local database using application.
3.Finally end of the day we need to synchronize his local database with server.
I want to develop a utility where user will insert new Records and also the same application should work if user is not connected with internet. When user wants to submit records only that time he required to connect internet.
We have created one sample application using excel where we use Dropdown, Textbox, Label.User will download excel file from website and filled up details. When user wants to submit all details only that time internet is required. Application will insert value from excel file to server using WebServices when user click on submit button.
Above is working file but it's increasing our work because we are creating website and also Excel project (Almost double work). I want something where we can utilize the code for online and offline application.
We made some changes to the default.aspx page our website, but those are not taking effect. If changes are made to pages in sub-folders it just works fine. Only that the default.aspx page is acting weird even though they are just changes to the markup.
I know there is somthing for asp.net 2.0(App_Offline)... that one can create to make apps not accessible during maintanance or someother stuff... Is there something of that nature for Asp.net 3.5 ... And i am using Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010...
I want to be abel to allow a user to input a users loginID into an html page, then when clicking a login submit button, load an aspx page (vb) and feed the text that was inputed into the login Input Text field into the aspx pagees login textbox.
The HTML label control is on master page. And I want to access its value on other aspx.cs page. As there are many other control on the master page so i use the recursive function to access the value but NullReferenceException occurs... The code on aspx.cs page is as:
i have an html page and i want to open it in an .aspx.
I need to made some changes in html before i show that in browser , and i need to make them in memory, so i open and load and make changes to my html Page and , now i need to pass that html string to iframe, but i am not able to do dat from code behind, iframe.innerHtml do not work.
I tried to set innerhtml for a div instead of iframe, that works , but here when browser renders html page, it applies my Html page style sheat on my aspx ( where CSS are defined for body ). Means the CSS for body that is in head of my htmlPage , sets on my aspx page.
I have a web application which contains details about job vacancies and applicant postings. Now this same application has to be made available to a central operator who will either connect to the web application or for some unavoidable situation if the connectivity to the web application cannot be made connect to an offline version of the application and make any updates, modifications to the content of the web application. The operator can also apply for job postings on behlaf of other users.
My question is, how do I develop this offline capability in situations where the connection to the web application cannot be made?
Im developing a website in asp.net where i want to connect the Payment gateway(rbs worldpay) as instructed im connecting to the payment gateway...the problem is, there im using some html button to connect the gate way as per the instructions the input button should be in form tag .in masterpage inherited aspx page we dont have any form tag the button is working properly when i placed that html code in content placeholder 1 but the button is displayed above the page......if i place that code in content place holder 2 the button is not working...........
I have an application build using asp.net in sharepoint platform, however the paging and sorting features in gridview failed to function properly in Offline Explorer (Metaproduct) environment, an offline browsing software.
Right now i am creating .html page dynamically and including in iframe of aspx page. it works fine ,but when i deploy it.on using https://I am getting errors in IE8 .. It works fine with IE7 and Firefox,so instead of giving the html file as source to iframe.., i want to try showing the html directly on aspx page.. rather than giving as a file..
I am making some application in asp.net 1.1 in that I am displaying data in datagrid from database. In data grid first column is of check box and radio button and in the last column we have text box now thing is that when i click on check box crosponding textbox we fill some figure and at the end we press calculate button to get total. After getting total we have to press continue button to go next step
But suppose if some body remove that check the we should press calculate button or chnage some figure in the text box then we should press calculate button again to recalculate. for that i kept autopost back on check box oncheckedchanged event and text box ontextchanged event and hide continue button so user will click calcutae button abd then continue button will re-apper
Problem it that it taking too much refresh and taking long time. So was lloking for some ajax method to use in my application.
I have a HTML IMG tag on my master page and there are aspx pages in the same folder which access this master page and it works fine.but if i have aspx pages in sub folder(inside root) which access the master page, the IMG doesnt work, the master page is in root folder.
I have 1 aspx page.In that i am using Developer Express controls also. If i do some changes in that page and trying to save, only the HTML input tags are repeating 2 times.
I have made some changes to the markup in the default.aspx. It renders perfectly on my development server but doesn't render on the production. We are using ASP.Net 2.0.
I republished it serveral times but still not taking effect.
Editing a web site project with master page in VS2010Ultimate with SP1 and Win7Ultimate 64 bit. Former everything was working fine - all toolbox windows were available when editing master page or aspx page. Now with the master page all toolbox relevant tab were enabled and show - when switching to a aspx page only the HTML tab is shown and enabled. When checking all "Show all" all expected tabs are disabled.
Even the <asp:> namespace is a unrecognized namespace in the aspx file.
When compiling or debugging/running everything is ok.
How can I solve this problem? I'm using Win7 Ultimate 64 Bit, VS2010 Ultimate and IExplorer 9 and the latest updates from Microsoft.
