Jan 20, 2010I creating a page where our clients can view advertising images and then able to download the images in different file formats. So I need the images and the different download types all saved into the same row in the database so that when I go to display them on the page when they select a picture the right download links will be there. So here where my problem comes in, I don't know how to code it so that I can insert mulitiple file paths into the database at once. The images are saved in a table called images. The downloads are saved in a table called Image Downloads.
Here is the code for the page I have it coded to submit the images to the database but not sure how to add the rest. I have got three different sql datasources for each table not sure if that's the way to go.

Jan 18, 2010I have written a script to create txt documents on my server and i have a listbox on my aspx page that lists these txt documents 1 by 1. What i want to do is click a button to let the user save the selected file to there own computer... sounds simple but im having a mare.

The problem is that the user first sees a 'Open/ Save / Cancel' dialog box. Instead of dialog box, It should be automatically save on server.

Feb 4, 2011My page (which basically contains a pair of Repeaters) renders and is displayed to the user.I'd like to have a "Download" button on the page which, when clicked, will propmt the user to save the page locally as an html file without losing any of the CSS formatting.
My CSS files are linked to via a Master Page.Currently, I have the button linked to some javascript that open will the Save As dialog, but all of the CSS formatting is lost, and it saves the page .I'm assuming that the button will need to open a new page which will re-create the data for the Repeaters and then save using StreamWriter, but I'm not exactly sure if that's right or how best to do it.

May 25, 2010I m uploading a file and reading it. The problem is I dont want to save that file in a folder which is in my solution explorer. I want to save it in a different Drive. I m saving the file in a different drive using web.cofig <add key="UploadFileLocation" value="C:\VOL0\Upload\"/> and I m saving using code FileUpload1.PostedFile.SaveAs(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["UploadFileLocation"] + SaveLocation); all goes fine, but I m reading the file and it is throwing an exception when I m trying to read file.

So if a user uploads 3 i end up with 6 and if i refresh it loops again

Aug 11, 2011I have written a website and let the user upload their photo. It also resizes the picture to 400 x 400 and crops automatically to the center part of the picture. All of this works good but each file is about 355K each for JPG and PNG file formats. I just tried GIF and it is 49K but the picture is grainy when saved this way. Is there any way I can get the picture to a smaller file size with keeping it at 400 x 400? I really thought PNG would be the way to go and was surprised by it being the same as jpg. I don't want to lower the quality either for JPG files.

after i have filled all the text boxes and changed the drop down controls to their associated values (for each text box), i want to save everything that i have filled. i have a SAVE button OUTSIDE the listview, and i want to (probably) iterate through all the rows of the listview and save all the contents in the textboxes to a collection object, where each collection item will be a row with textbox's text and dropdown's selected index value.
