I am Using ASPX the VB Version
Ok says i have a folder thats like www.some-url.com/data/ and in data there is all picture files there and i want to use a ASPX controller like in PHP to dispaly all the pictures in a image boc thats 250 250 and be a clickable link but in a table too how would i do thing..

I need to view all the picture files as picture in a image controller like the asp:Image
Ever since I enabled asp.net authentication my .jpg (mypic.jpg) from folder Pics do not show up. What am I doing wrong?

How do you do an update statement?I would like to update UserID with this string theUserid and I would like to update picturepath with fileuploadpaths(string) in the same table (Pictures)

I probally just tired but I would have swore I had seen an example of this some where for MVC 2,
I want to call a partial view that shows the products information with a GUID passed to the partial view.
I guess you would call it calling a sub but have that sub in a view that i can strongly wire up.
What i need is tutorials for passing a value to the partial view.
Like if i had pictures and i wanted to call a ascx that would show the picture. and have many to a page.
An example about pictures wired into a entities database would rock.....

I'm working on an ecommerce project that is missing 5,000 product pictures.
I am trying to assign all products without pictures into a category located on a mapping table.
I know an insert can be accomplished from one table (or subquery) to another but I only need to find the product IDs and insert them with default values into the category mapping table that has all non-null columns.
The following code is the farthest I can get without help (I'm not strong in SQL), it won't work because my subquery returns many rows while the SQL statement is designed to insert one - I don't know how to handle this...

I am using alternatiff plugin to view tiff in web browser. But my main aim is to disable saving the copy of tiff file in temp internet files folder. and the second is to view some specific 2-3 pages from the entire tiff files. (SECURITY IS THE MAJOR CONCERN) or is there anything alternative which can help me out from thes.
I am working on this from last two days but couldnt get to the solution for this.
I've got my Controllers in its own project, my Models in their own projects, and the Main App in ITS own project, which contains the Views folder.
So when I open up my controller cs file and right click on, say for example, the Details action and choose "Add View", it creates a Views folder within my Controllers project, and adds the view there. I want it to add the view into the Views folder in my Main App project. How in the world do I do this?

I've created a class which extends System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage which I want to be the default class each view inherits from. This is controlled by the "pageBaseType" attribute in the "pages" element in the web.config file in each Views folder. If I add a Views folder in Visual Studio, it creates the web.config.
I would like to change the template it uses to do this to use a different value for pagBaseType. I assume there is a template somewhere I could modify, but I don't know where it is.
I am developing a website in MVC 2.0. I want to change the View folder location in my website. I wanted to keep the views folder inside other folders, When I try to do so i am getting following errors

My Views folder will be in ~/XYZ/ABC/Views instead of ~/Views. Will I get any problems If I change the default Views folder location. Do I need to change anything in HTML Helper classes because I don't know anything in MVC as this is my starting project i dont want to risk.

If the user is the ADMIN, he/she can upload pictures.
if the user is USER only, viewing is only allowed.
Note: What specific control can I use for viewing images wherein there is also page index

i have a masterpage in my project when i want to set image's path i have to use for exmaple ../../Image/TopBanner.jpg but some page is in root and some page is in folder so dose not show pictures in the page.

What I wonder is how it will be possible to let this ImageButton change Picture between "Pic1" and "Pic2" that I also have in this folder with one second interval.
So it will be: "Pic1","Pic2","Pic1","Pic2" and so on...
If this is possible using C#, that would be an interesting solution ?

View 1 RepliesI created a ASP.NET project under Visual Web Developer 2008. Under that project I had a Database (along with ASPNETDB.MDF) which has about 3/4 tables (I had SQL server 2008). Everything was working fine (like insert, delete, etc.). And I was able to view the tables in database explorer view.
Then I had to format my computer for some reason and I copied the whole project in a USB drive and then after formatting the computer I copied the folder and tried to open it in Visual Web Developer (now I have VWD 2010). I can see the both Database under App_Data folder (ASPNETDB.mdf and the DB I created). ASPNETDB has all the tables and data as expected. But I do not see the tables under the DB I created.
